If you do not live in the state?
For example I am not an American citizen thus i am not allowed to compete at any show that gives out pro cards. However could i compete at a state show?

Thank you for any replies.

From what i've understood so far is if its a State show you must reside in that state. That's whats up with the Montana State BB in March anyway.

Ok, thank you for the replies guys.
I will be a US citizen by the end of 2010 so i guess the state show will have to wait until 2011.
Thanks again!

Non-US citizens can compete in a State show, as long as they are residents of that state.

what about the people that live in states that don't have a state show. can they compete in a different states state show.

I don't think so. In CO, at least, you have to be a resident of CO and need to have proof of residency if they ask. Texas is the same (http://www.npctexas.com/contests-npc-info/npc-rules/index.html). I'd double check withe the promoter of the State Show you're interested in, but I doubt it.

That sucks. I was looking into the Maryland State or the Delware State but I'm a resident of PA. That narrows it down. Guess I'll have to keep looking.

It depends - the each individual show (or within the state?) will state the residency requirements. Recently several California shows opened up to all US residents.

So check the application form for the show you're interested in or contact the promoter to be sure.

LOl, thats bullshit, u dont have to be an citizen to compete...
For NPC u just need to live in the state are u competing, and for the nationals u dont have to be citizen or resident, or u forget Arnold coming from europe to kick some major ass against oliva and zane??
