made me feel very FUNNY as in borderline sick. this is the only waxy that i ever tried that made me feel that way. Waxy is glorified junk anyways bro.. Its all been a lie from the beginning.

That's the kind I was using before I started my diet. I mean its cheap and has the same consistency as most waxy's so I assume it is good.

It's a good solid product. Probably a little bit higher in price than ON's Glyco-Maize.

It may make you feel a little hypoglycemic....and no it's not junk.

Dextrose or gatorade. 20oz=35g sugars.

Waxy maize is garbage Zeta...look around and study up.

Vitargo on the other hand is awesome. Just super expensive.

If we cross waxy off the list cause it is "junk" and say that vitagro is too $$$$, what do you guys think about Cytocarb II? It says:

Cytocarb II Supplement Facts
Serving Size: 4 Scoops (56g)
Servings Per Container: 16
Amount Per Serving:
Calories 210
Total Fat 0
Total Carb 53g
Sugar 2g
Protein 0g
Sodium 45mg

Cytocarb II Other Ingredients
Cytocarb II (cytosport's unique combination of branching as well as short, medium and long linear chain maltodextrins, with very low "DE" (Dextrose Equivalence) providing a complex carbohydrate source approximately 96.5% Sugar-free).

Can someone explain the ingredients to me? DE? Dextrose Equivalence? Short, Medium, Long Maltodextrins?

What do you guys/gals think? I am looking for carbs for during my long cycling sessions (2-4hr rides) and for during/post weight lifting sessions. Thanks.

So why is vitargo good then? Why not just use dextrose (powdered Gatorade) that's very cheap and readily available, not to mention tried and true?

Do you understand the actual SCIENCE behind vitargo? Everything WAXY has claimed to DO (but doesn't) is actually from Vitargo claims, studies, and results.
There are many reasons Vitargo is 'good' YG.....but there are just as many reasons that it is overpriced. If one can afford it with no problems, I would use it...at least several months at a time.
Dextrose and gatorade is fine/as good/cheaper than Vitargo AND BOTH BETTER THAN WAXY DAMN MAIZE!

Milos has stated that while being a proponent of Vitargo for years...he only sees it as prudent to use in 80-150g increments. (A large serving). In that large of a serving....it gets through the stomach VERY fast and doesnt cause discomfort by sitting there etc. 150g of Dextrose would present issues that were just plain uncomfortable. This is where Vitargo excels.

aw yes, thank you for that explanation.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. i am currently using powder gatorade, but doesn't it have too much sugar? I am using 40 grams pre workout and 50 grams post workout, and it has 13g of sugar per 14 grams.

great. fruitpunch is delicious other than the chalky consistency. which all waxy's have. best one i've tried so far.

Should I just go with dextrose?

No, dextrose will certainly spike insulin levels, (GOOD) but it will keep circulating blood sugar levels too high, for too long. (BAD)

If you can't afford Vitargo, then use Waxymaize. If you don't want to use Waxy, then use pure maltodextrin.
