I am Tammy Patnode, super mod and IFBB pro here at RX. I have been judging since 06 under Jim Rockell in western/central NY.

My name is Craig Lucas and I have been judging here in Australia for well over 10yrs. I have judged for various Federations including Musclemania, ANB (Natty fed over here) and IFBB which I still currently judge for both at State and National level. I have been involved in Australian bodybuilding for over 30yrs and run my own bodybuilding competition which is an independent show called the Country Classic Invitational, (which is sanctioned by the IFBB so as I can use Tony Doherty as my emcee). It is considered by most people to be the best and most entertaining bodybuilding show in Australia.

I am also the publisher/owner/editor of Hardcore Aussie Muscle magazine which is the only home-grown Australian bodybuilding magazine on the market.

I competed only once where I placed second in the PBBI Junior Australia. My partner and I do contest prep here in Australia but specialise in posing and posing routines.

My judging is best described as honest and perhaps slightly biased to the classic old-school look, I am not a fan of the growth-gut.

Shape is everything for me, I feel it is a very overlooked part of judging/scoring, but having said that I can judge to any federations criteria without any problems.

I've worked out for 25+ years and have competed since 1990. I am currently at the National level in Canada. I am also a Provincially qualified judged (6 years experience). As an athlete I value the judges' feedback and acknowledge that it is vital for my improvement. The group of people that sit closest to the stage are the ones who are empowered to honestly score and critique an athlete's physique - not your gym buddies, training partner, mother, father...etc. As an athlete I know how important constructive feedback is and as a judge I feel that it is my responsibility to guide an athlete so that they can achieve their goals. I have spent many hours in the gym and I can honestly say bodybuilding has helped shaped me to what I am today. Judging is my way of giving back to a sport that I love. Hopefully, I can guide the athletes on the Rx forums sculpt a contest winning body

I am best friends and business partners with IFBB Pro Porter Cottrell. I worked with him while he was still competing, and won 5 pro shows. We have a personal training business that we run together. We have trained several guys who went on to become pro wrestlers, and many bodybuilder/figure competitors.

This is my 5th year judging in the NPC. While it certainly isnt a very easy job, I find it very rewarding, and definitely enjoy the group of guys and gals that I judge with. I truly enjoy being able to help people prep for a show, and seeing them change from week to week. There is no better reward than that of helping someone achieve their fitness goals.

I have also had the great fortune of being good friends with Pat Arnold. I certainly say that between Pat and Porter, they have brought a great balance to my understanding and appreciation of the sport.

I look forward to each show both as a fan, and judge.

Hey everyone,

Just to give a brief introduction.

Ive been around the physique world for about ten years, first show was 2001. Long enough to see figure change to a softer look and unfortunately long enough to see bodybuilding entries fall and conditioning start to wane. So, Im a stickler for being in shape, I think its one of the ways to save bodybuilding. Ive been off myself, so Im not perfect either, but I may harp on conditioning more than some based on how far out you are and where I feel you should be.

I am not a sanctioned judge but Ive prepped hundreds of athletes successfully for stage, and I know what makes a good physique. I don't need a sanction for that.

Some of my recent placings are:
Local:
2008 Northern KY 1st place
2009 GNC Indiana 1st place
2010 GNC Indiana 1st place
2010 Tricky Jackson 1st place
National:
2009 Jr Nationals 6th place
2010 Jr Nationals 4th place
2010 Nationals 15th place (bleh)

I look forward to helping out around here.

IFBB Pro Physique Competitor Tracy Bodner a.k.a. IslandGirl is here to offer feedback to help you succeed in the sport. Very glad Tracy is a member of Rx Muscle Forums!

"Aloha! My name is Tracy Bodner and I am the NPC Chief Judge for the State of Colorado. I was born and raised in Hawaii and my love for our sport goes back to the early 90's.

I moved to Colorado in 1997. I have been judging going on 13 years this year. I love judging shows. I find it very rewarding and satisfying. I highly encourage competitors to get as much feedback from the judges that judged your show and use it as a guide to help you make improvements for the next time you hit the stage.

As a competitor myself, I highly value my feedbacks that I receive from the judges and use that to my advantage.

Competition History:

1990 NPC Hawaiian Classic - Novice Lightweight - 2nd place
1991 NPC Hawaiian Classic - Open Lightweight - 2nd place
1992 NPC Paradise Cup - Open Lightweight - 2nd place
1995 NPC Paradise Cup - Open Lightweight - 2nd place
2006 NPC Colorado State - Novice Figure A Winner and Overall
2006 NPC Colorado State - Open Figure A Winner
2006 NPC Colorado State - Masters Bodybuilding Overall
2006 NPC Colorado State - Open Lightweight Winner
2007 NPC USA Championships - Figure Class B
2008 NPC USA Championships - Lightweight - 7th place
2009 NPC Colorado State- Open Lightweight Winner
2009 NPC USA Championships - Lightweight - 7th place
2010 NPC Colorado State - Figure Class B Winner
2010 NPC Nationals - Figure Class B
2011 NPC Jr. USA - WPD Class A - 14th place
2011 NPC USA Championships - WPD Class A - 4th place
2011 NPC North Americans - WPD Class A Winner and Pro Card
2012 IFBB Desert Muscle Classic - 9th place
2012 IFBB St. Louis Pro - 8th place
2012 IFBB Greater Gulf States - 7th place

So as you can see from my history... before Women's Physique I went back and forth between Figure and Bodybuilding trying to find my 'home' and where my body fit best. It was a frustrating time for me and at the 2010 Nationals I was quoted as saying I am done competing. It was the same weekend that I found out that the NPC was creating a new division called Women's Physique. Hallelujah!!!

And here I am today."
