View Full Version : Dave's Diet "Cheat Day"???

Hey on Dave's diet, does anyone know what is the maximum calories you should have on that cheat meal? I only ask because I could eat a whole pizza and my mind might try to trick myself saying it is okay. Should I probably keep that cheat meal under 1,500 calories?

go for it if your only trying to loose weight, be more conservitive if ur trying to get into contest shape

There's no cal limit but it is recommended that you don't gorge yourself stupid.

Personally i think its safe to hit 4000 calories and be fine. Ive gone past that amount nd i look fine the next day if not more vascular and even leaner.

4000 calories on one cheat meal!!! Whoa, I don't blame you. I might keep it a little lower than that.
I wonder if most of the calories should come from carbs? I might just eat a lot of cereal.

Mix it up. I go through different cuisines each week. I used to go apeshit at the earlier cheat meal volume and feel sick afterwoods, it distrupted my sleep, one morning I could barely see because of the puffiness caused by the salt/water retension made my eyes shut. Last night for my cheat meal we went to the outback steakhouse (honestly didn't know the chain existed outside of the US) and had cheese fries, 22oz steak with mash on the side, and a brownie/icecream/cream desert. I feel pretty good trained legs this morn and did 30m cardio.

i always ate a 1pound fuddruckers burger w/ fries and then ice cream on the way out the door,dont know the cals,but thats gotta be a bunch!!!

I only ask because I could eat a whole pizza 6 donuts and a tub of icecream and my mind might try to trick myself saying it is okay. Should I probably keep that icecream and donuts under 1,500 calories?

Yeah under 1,500 calories for one meal? Whats so funny about that? His diet is already having me at about 2,700 calories I just don't want to go overboard.

i think he means that once u start eating ur cheat, ur not goin to stop under 1500, you'll easily break 2000ish lol, if not way more

You just need to play with your cheat and see how your body responds. Myself and Chinese food dont go good together. All the MSG id assume. But i noticed i spilled over big time from that.
Tonight was my cheat-

Seafood Pasta (Shrimp,mussels,crab,Lobster)
Clams Maison
Tenderloin Skewers (2 orders)
Shrimp Stuffed with Crab
Taco Soup
Salad
Peanut Butter Pie with Ice Cream
1 Glass Chianti Wine
2 Pepsi's

Im 8 1/2 weeks out. FUCKING love my cheats!!!!!

You are trying to convince yourself. You know better!!! Calories DO matter. Dieting 101. You will not lose weight in a surplus. Pizza is a great cheat food if the sole purpose is to restim the Thyroid. Pizza is a great choice. I would use a high fat high carb food source. Personally I think a big Double cheeseburger & French Fries are a great cheat food.

I may be remembering wrong but I think in one of his past Q&A's Dave said a max of 150g of carbs.
