Get the time-released version; it works a lot better than the normal one.

Start out with 3mg 2 hours prior to sleep. If you've never used it then 3mg should do the job.

yeah - 3mg is good.. but it hits me in about 30 mins... and thats that i use it often..
I wouldnt go higher than 5mg - you'll feel too tired the next day

5mgs a half hour before bed works wonders for me. if i dont get a full nghts sleep tho i feel kinda hungover. I never seem to build a tolerance for it either, like sleeping pills. I get mine from www.puritan.com. Its cheap as hell and works great. They usually have buy 1 get 2 free deals. Enough to last a looong time.

I'm going to end this thread.

Melatonin dose varies from user to user.

Here is the best way to approach it. Purchase .5mg time release version.

Start by taking .5mg about 30-60 minutes before betime, do this for 3-4 days.

Bump up by.5mg, and follow the same protocol.

Bump up again, same protocol

When you start having disturbing dreams/nightmares, reduce dose by .5mg and stick with that dosage.
