I have what looks like the first infection I've got from injecting anything. a warm/hot pink 1x1 inch roundish patch on my abdomen where I shot hcg yesterday. US pharma hcg. same batch of needles I've used for months for GH, same bacterostatic water, same hcg supplier I've used for 3 cycles/pct's.
Is this just a freak thing? Any way one can botch a subq injection to get results like this?
thx for your advice

I've gotten lumps that sore for a few days, don't remember redness though.

I'll assume you have been following sterile technique---NEW needle to draw and NEW needle to inject, every single time; double alcohol swab the area every single time; NEW syringe every single time.
If so, and your stuff is US pharma grade, it's highly unlikely the drug itself would be contaminated. Could be a freak thing. If the red patch grows go to an urgent care ASAP.

I'm using insulin needles, so same needle for draw and injection; otherwise as you describe.

I sometimes get small painfull lumps from my hcg injects. they always go away in 3-4 days.

Not an infection - did indeed clear after a few days.
I experimented a bit and this seems to be concetration based. 5000 iu/ml (taking 1/2 a ml during pct) causes warm redness for 3-4 days and mild pain injecting. 2500 iu/ml (1 ml) causes mild redness for no more than 1 day and no pain injecting.
