if u low blood sugar, the less insulin u have floating throughout the body. Insulin is the most anabolic hormone one has in there body. If u dont take in carbs then u cant recover fully and utilize the array of hormones u have in your body.

If you are hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) your body might not be able to take in a lot of carbs in at once do to getting an insulin spike then of course your blood sugar will soon fall. During the off season I tried the higher carb, med protein, low fat approach and it back fired on me big time. I switched to Dave's off season diet and it solved my blood sugar issue. With the increase in fats it slows down the insulin response when taking in carbs but still keeps you in an anabolic state, but it also keeps your body fat levels in check.
