here are pics from last Friday at my first posing class ever. this was 14 weeks out. I will be doing my first ever show at the age of 48 (been lifting about 4 1/2 years now after a life of being sedentary), an NPC show in Norfolk on May 29. My coaches are the state NPC chairs and I am excited! Lots of fat around the sides and lower back, good legs, weak lats, IMO

I am 188 in the pics, 5'9" tall, coach tells me 20 or so lbs to lose and I will be ready.

Hey man! Howz it going! I must say I am VERY impressed with the changes you made since I came to Rx back in the summer! WOW! have not been on the masters board much...so many duties! While you do need to tighten up overall still, you are right on track I think at this point. As you have noticed (as do I!) fat over your kidney is a bitch. Anti Estros & AIs help with that alot. Even the over the counter ones. That will be the last to go. Legs are really coming in nice. Calves look rocked! Keep it up my brother!

Legs looking good. I agree with you that you need to work on back width and thicknes. You look like you are on track. Make sure you do the master class also, if you do any other class. Train hard

Thanks everyone, it is finally really nice to be proud to post pics! My coach ran me through the ringer at posing last night. Decided my best pose right now is side tri with my right side facing the judges! He worked a little with me, then put me through real time like a show. It was rough, and I missed one completely...he said I actually did well for only me second lesson. Keep practicing he said!

My nightmares contain two phrases: "chest up, chest up!" and "butt out, butt out!"

Jeff, just to let you know, I cannot remember the last time I did a calf raise! Maybe a year and half, two years ago???

My first show will be fairly small and I definitely plan to crossover, Masters (no weight divisions), and Open (middleweight). It is called the NPC Virginia Grand Prix

Will try to really start pounding the back to add some thickness and width!

Thanks again.

Looks good. It looks to me that when you are doing you front dbl bi shot you are squeezing your shoulder blades together - don't. You may want to try bringing your elbows slightly forward and see it that brings out your lats. Good stuff. Keep us posted.

Thanks, Dan. We worked on that some at my second posing lesson. I need to think wide and not scrunch so much.

here are a few pics from the Masters Challenge at the Species booth Friday. I got all the nervousness out of my system and actually enjoyed it. This is going to make my NPC show a lot easier to deal with since I had a dress rehearsal!

How'd I do for a first time on stage guy?!

found out from coach tonight why we don't do side relaxed turned slightly with arms twisted like they do in the pros....

it's illegal in the NPC in the state of Virginia to do it the way the pros do. Since my coach is the head judge and I am in a show he is running, I better not do it illegally!
