View Full Version : Water Loss on Dave's Diet?

So how much water can I expect to lose the last 1-3 days before the contest on Dave's diet.
For me it seems I do not hold a lot of water while on the keto based diet. I am 5'7" 171 lbs with 4.5% bodyfat just to give you some stats if it helps to determine the amount of water I can lose.

how are u holding water? im doin a keto diet rite now and i hold no water at all. theres no carbs/ glycogen in your muscles to hold the water there. u should try aqualyze or xpel

hmm thats true, so I am guessing I will not lose any water during my final week or right before the contest.

try upping you water intake bigtime, till wed. then slowly lower it down till ur cutting off on friday nite. when u carb up u should notice that u are fuller and drier now that ur muscle has to glycogen to store water.

Oh yeah I am familiar with the protocol I was just wondering if I might lose an extra 2-3 pounds because I need to know if I should try to lose muscle to drop down to a different weight class.
I am 6.5 weeks out at 4.5% bodyfat weighing 171 lbs. I predict I will be 164-165 lbs come contest, should I try to get down to 154 1/2 because being a light middleweight sucks.

If your sodium is high and you cut it before the show you will prolly lose some water weight from that.
