Have any of you ever heard of Muscle Gauge Nutrition? They have a great price going for WPI on ebay. They are offering 25 lbs. of WPI for $127 (which breaks down to $5.08 per pound) with free shipping. Does anyone know if this WPI is good quality or is it junk? You can check it out here:

Looks to be ok, they most likely do it all themself e.g. own the factory or something or they buy in a massive order to on sell it cheap, just make sure it has a while left on the run out date.

trueprotein.com is cheap and good to go IMO. Maybe check them out? Beats buying off e-bay dude.

Whey protein isolate is just that, chances are that the stuff off e-bay is just as effective as trueprotein's, provided it meets the label claims.

You'll know if you try it and don't end up with stomach discomfort. Let us know what you find out...personally I'm not a fan of ebay after being ripped off a few times (mainly car parts) and don't mind paying an extra few bucks for a reputable company.

All the Whey Isolate is great.$39.99 for 5lbs. of pure isolate(25 grams protein per scoop with 1 gram of carbs). You can buy it from Bodybuilding.com DPS Nutrtion or Prosource for the same price.

Kevin,

This company (MGN) offers the same 5 lbs. of WPI with the same nutritional profile for $36. Also, they offering free shipping. The only drawback I see is that if you want the 5 lb. jug of WPI, they only offer it in Cinnamon Bun (YUCK!). I love regular ol' chocolate.

Make sure it's CMF to receive all the benefits of whey isolate.

I've bought it off them before. They do offer more flavors than just cinnamon bun. check out some of the other listings or go into their ebay store. through communication with the ebay seller, they are on muscleandstrength.com and should be on nutriplanet, and bodybuilding.com within 2 to 3 months. great value for the price

I just bought 25 lbs of the chocolate isolate. Should receive it in a few days. I will post a review.

Anyone tried it yet?

I haven't tried it, though I was reading up on it. Iirc, the label was pretty solid. In truth, I didn't want to buy it off of Ebay. I did a search on it, and couldn't find any reviews or the like so I didn't really trust it.

Be good to know how you guys get on with it.

there's different grades of WPI, Cross-flow Microfilteration is the best

MGN is from the same folks as All the Whey. I was unable to find any information about their filtration method.

I'm thinking about getting the same order and flavor as you. Did you make an offer or pay the asking price?

I received my 25lb box of MGN whey isolate yesterday. I got the chocolate flavor. Taste is amazing and I was able to mix 2 servings with a spoon.

I took 2 servings as soon as I received it to find out if I would have any GI issues with the product. No GI issues to report.

I purchased if onthe MGN ebay store. I offered $115 and my offer was accepted with free shipping.

Shipping took 3 days from Washington, DC to San Diego, CA.

yeah, its half wpi half concentrate. Its unflavored and comes with a bag. just pick up the flavor packs to flavor it or use your own sweeteners. I used it and loved it.

are you lactose intolerant??? because you'll only have gi problems from concentrate or sub-standard wpi if thats the case. No gi problems without some type of lactose intolerance I wouldn't think shows anything.

I have tried a few protein powders that didn't agree with my stomach and gave me wicked farts. MGN isolate does not.

I have never tried Trueprotein products. I would have bought it but they refused to let me go to their warehouse to pick it up. I stumbled upon MGN on another thread and decided to try it. Good so far.

I (like most BB's) have a limited budget. I can easily live with paying $4.60 per lb for protein powder. I was paying $8.00 per lb buying Isocool. Not any more.

Any bodybuilder on a budget would be well served to try the MGN product.

I just put in an offer for 25lb. of chocolate WPI (same as you) and it was accepted. I had initially put in an offer of $95 for 25lb. based on this guy getting 50lb. for $185 (http://forum.bodybuilding.com/archive/index.php?t-115329871.html). I figured I'd just throw out an initial offer of about half that price for half that quantity. However, it was declined. Oh well. Then, I just re-offered the amount you offered ($115) and it was accepted.

From what I've been reading, MGN is exactly like All The Whey. I hope so, because I've been a satisfied ATW customer for about the last 150lb. of WPI I've ingested.

If it's what you can afford and your getting the results you want, then choke it down. Sometimes ebay can be good, but usually it's a hit and miss kind of thing. Been burned there before, just be careful who you order from.

Since they seem to be a private label under ATW, I would assume their protein is basically ATW's protein; therefore, you could probably use ATW's certs found here: http://www.allthewhey.com/certs.html. As far as their filtration system, according to their product description, they use "an intelligent combination of cross-flow ultrafiltration and advanced microfiltration." As to their amino acid profile, you can find it on their product descriptions (e.g., here: http://cgi.ebay.com/MGN-Whey-Protein-Isolate-25lb-Chocolate-Powder_W0QQitemZ270352571819QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_ DefaultDomain_0?hash=item270352571819&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262).

Not only is MGN on ebay, I've also noticed they are starting to be carried at other on-line supplement stores. Just do a Google search on "Muscle Gauge Nutrition" and you will see them popping up in a number of places.
