I moved your question to the Fem Chem area where I think you'll find some answers to your questions....and where it will be seen....the Q&A is for Dave and the women of the sport :)

 confused
anavar & hgh both put on size
so if you aren't wanting to get bigger you shouldnt take either

are you looking for it to help retain muscle when dieting? 5 mg would be suffient for that w/o dramatically changing your muscle structure.

agreed. 2.5mg twice a day should help you maintain size assuming you are getting enough protein. but to take it solely to lose bodyfat is not what anavar does.

Var is not a fat burner and neither is hGH. Anavar, as male hormone, promotes lean muscle mass. An increase in lean muscle mass will improve metabolism in favor of more efficient dropping of bodyfat. hGH works to bring all the metabolic functions within your body to more optimum levels, similar to when you are at the height of your youth.

I don't see you how you can expect to NOT gain weight on anavar - because it is promoting the growth of lean muscle mass. But to get hung up on the scale instead of paying attention to the more important measure of body composition (i.e the ratio of bodyfat to lean muscle mass) sort of tells me, unless you're concerned about making a weight class, you're completely missing the point of "losing fat".

Given that we don't know anything about the context from which you are asking this, I"m going to err on the conservative side and assume you need to focus on your diet & training and not be looking at drugs for "fat loss".

i'm glad you posted this
which is what i wanted to say but was biting my tongue off

i hear this all the time "I think i wanna try some Anavar or Winstrol to lean me out"
i'm like thatz not what steriods do
off i go on my rant
everyone wants the easier softer way
its amazing to me the misconceptions people have
and how they think it's a magic pill
it constantly amazes me those who try them and think fats gonna fall off and muscles just gonna pile on
in a matter of days or weeks
until their rude awakening

the misconceptions are there are crazy!

if you use x "you can get same results in a few weeks that would take years otherwise" actually saw this posted on another board

they think if you take anything you can just sit around and the fat will melt off and suddenly muscle will appear

they actually think you do less work, don't follow a nutrition plan

man if this is true i am doing it ALL wrong lol cuz i bust my ass year round in the gym and following my nutrition plan

Nutrition and training drive weight loss not drugs.

10mg Anavar daily stacked with 1-2iu HGH.

Ahh, you may want to do some additional research OUTSIDE this forum! Anavar is actually EXECELLENT for a cutting phase (I can personally attest to this) if you are attempting to retain the muscle you have while dieting and performing REAL cardio! 5 mg each day should do the trick. You DO have to be very strict with your diet or you will put weight on instead.

As a matter of fact, after about day 14 don't be surprised if you start seeing the addition of lean muscle while cutting.

But do your research because I've seen some incorrect responses here from people that are suppose to "know". Check out more medical research options as opposed to bodybuilding forums. You'll learn what the drug was manufactured for initially, and get a better understanding of it's potential based on studies conducted by respected medical research institutes.

You'll be pleasantly surprised. ...Lots of myths out there about Var. Make sure you have the facts!

I don't think anyone here said var was ineffective for cutting

we said you should use diet and training first and not resort to AAS simply to lose weight

Anavar was described in 1962 by Pfizer to combat catabolic illness. It was then pulled in the 1980's due to lagging sales and political pressure of atheletes using performance enhancing drugs. It was reintroduced in 1995 by BTG Corp. for use in AIDS wasting.Var is milligram for milligram 6 times more androgenic than testosterone, but has little in the way of estrognic or progestational activity.5-10 mg a day split is effective in women for muscle building purposes. To say anavar will make you lean is a myth....there are other supps that assist i that area....but the major factor is DIET and CARDIO....the history of var!!!

I believe that's pretty much what everyone else said too. I didn;t see misinformation. Anavar alone will not cause you to drop body fat. It takes a strict diet and exercise regime to do that along with the anavar. Anavar maintains and builds muscle tissue. It does nothing to burn fat.

I've seen several girls close to me on 10 mg of Anavar gain considerable size in a matter of months
when they trained for yrs and yrs hard and dedicated to their diet trying to put on size with minimal gain
then thatz all they did was 10mg
and the gains they got were amazing
i have before and afters pix to prove this
a little anavar can go along way on a chick
so if shes serious about not gaining ANY size
well....

See this is the thing - you want this certain look that is very constrained around "losing bodyfat" but "dont want to get big" - it doens't work like that. You're self-medicating w/ male hormones. You're gonna get bigger. Its all together different look than you're imagining. Its all about expectations. Its not like you take steroids and insta-bikini body. In fact you have to be willing to go in w/ an open mind and not be constrained by this expectation of a specific look. It just doesn't work like that. What are you going to do if it doesn't come out the way you want?

In fact anyone who is driven to only get a look is IMO ignorant when it comes to steroids. You get all sorts of things w/ a cycle. And you better be ready and responsible for whatever comes with it - good and bad. Everyone has a different idea of what is "good" and "bad" so its really on you to do the experiment and be willing to own the results regardless of what they are. Particuarly anavar is not exactly rocket science, but there are no guarantees on outcome, and like fitbody noted- a little goes a long way. If you want to gain mass, great, but just "I want to lean out & tone up" can be done w/ a tight diet & training. And I'd venture that most people who have not done a competition prep have no idea what it really means to put the diet & training & cardio together in a "tight" program to get results. Throw in some drugs on a less than tight program and you're going to get "thick".

THIS is why we continue to push the importance of diet & training because THOSE are the things that you have control over w/o modifying your hormone profile. Its simple and it works. It takes work, but it works.

I did not miss that part. My posts have nothing to do with if someone uses var they will gain muscle. So if they want to lose need to be strict with diet

The point I am trying to make is:
There is zero reason anyone just wanting to lose weight should use AAS or GH or T3 for that matter and it should be discouraged not encouraged.

Over and over people post about var, winny, t3, etc to just lose weight and they should to be told none of that is necessary. Every one wants a quick route and magic pill and that is why over 95% of people who lose weight gain it back. Do it slow do it right and the chances of success are far greater.

IMO the biggest advantage of running anavar is the recovery effect. So use it - lift like a mofo. You'll find you are stronger, but you'll also find you recover quicker so you can go hit it hard again. If your diet is tight already, you will gain some mass, and in the process reduce your bodyfat. You may not necessarily see the scale move much, depending on where you are now. If you're not lean now, note that anavar is still a steroid and is going to promote lean muscle mass - if you're not lean already, this may look more like getting thick than cut. Other than that, remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so its more important to pay attention to how your clothes fit than the scale to measure "progress".

On a side note, I highly recommend you include acidophilus in your supplement stack to help avoid yeast infections. Anything that manipulates your hormones (this includes steroids as well as estrogen suppressors) has the potential to throw off the balance of "good" and "bad' vaginal bacteria.

Thanks alot and my cardio is minimal like 10 min warm up 1 min sprint 1 mn walk for 20 min. Im like 118 5'5 just want to have more muscle mass not even looking at the scale or getting on it until the 6 weeks is done I will take pics and go by my clothes I was told to do lots of reps like 60 wth my heavy and go til I cant throw them down get lighter and keep going til 60 (keep throwing them down and getting lighter if I have to) Never trained like this but maybe my body needs change will try it out (again I was doing the Body for Life weight training guide lines) If you know or can suggest something I should be doing pls let me know or stear me in the right direction to read up on reps sets etc for great results. Thanks again and have a wonderful Sunday :)
