That should do it. Right now I am trying the keto diet and mostly train in the mornings. I go for 15gr of EAA before training and the usual 50 grams of whey with peanutbutter post.

You could always add 5-10g of leucine to either or both.

Do you take any stimulants?

Coffee? Tea? Fat burners?

It's been proven by science that strength peaks best in the afternoon. Just a thought.

What time do you think is best?

For me 4-6 PM has always been best.

He probably has to fit his training in when he can.

I have a protein shake mixed with water upon wakening and then breakfast is oats with boiled hot water and honey and grated apple mixed in. :p
Its quick to make (practical) and provides really good energy to get you through the morning!

I have worked first thing in the morning for about 8 years. I don't like having a 'full' feeling so I either have a whey shake in water or an EAA product. I also like to use a stim product to get prepped for the workout. I do have to warm up a bit longer to wake up the body but I have adapted to the time pretty well.

I like to use 10g EAA with 15g BCAA, I drink half when I get to the gym and the other half during my morning work out. Heading there now.
