I see occassionally at stores where they have some supps marked down due the the expiration date. Do they really lose their effectiveness? Would it matter if its pill or powder?

Good info, thanks. Bottled supps (pills) may be Ok after the exp date, but I've had bad experience with energy bars after the exp date.
