your question is what exactly? are you at the right BW to bulk? i would say yes. you really need to add some size to fill out a 6 1 frame. are you planning on competing eventually?

Jason Newman
05-21-2010, 10:58 AM
competing is still up in the air, not anytime within the next year or two though,

but yes basically am i at the correct or acceptable BF levels to be gaining,

im not used to having the chub on me.... but then again ive never been ableto gain size when i had great abs

Yes you can start gaining here, just don't let your waist line get too far out of check. You don't want to stretch your waist too much and fast.

Jason Newman

I wasn't planninbg on putting on any fat. I don't "bulk" just like to stay as lean as possible while still gaining...

Problem is everythings a weakness now, need arms shoulder chest, if anything I'd say legs then back are least of my worries...in that order, NYC mike what's ur opinion?

thanks guys, and TBS i can get leg picks up soon, trust me they are not up to competative PAR but im sick of buying 36' to fit my glutes and thighs when i should wear a 32, for me its a matter of reshaping them so they look more impressive for me, although they can still grow if i were to get down to contest shape as there is always some fat on them....

You have clothing issues? Really? They don't look overly big. Maybe you just need a new brand or style of pants.

Sorry - but my legs are bigger and I still train them every week. lol Not trying to be a dick about it, just saying that your legs are not too big to train them every week.

Wait. Let me get this straight. You wear 32s but after leg day you have to go up to a 36s to accomodate your swole legs? They actually pump up and swell INCHES for DAYS?

I would LOVE to see pics of that...before and after...don't forget the tape measure in the pic. And better lighting...

wear levis 569, loose straight leg, as baggy as they come without looking all thugged out....

shorts american eagle baggy cargos.....

i was saying my waist is 32 but i wear a 36-34 to fit in them comfortable, 34 slightly tight but do able, 36 i can hammer legs and still wear normal clothes the day after.....

def not saying they are big but its a pain in the ass, and girly muscle and sally both probably have bgger legs than i.... how the fuck do yall do it clothing wise

SallyAnne

Find jeans that fit and wear a lot of sweat pants. :) You will wind up looking like a funnel or a lawn dart if you keep neglecting your legs for your upper body. Squat, baby. ;)

...and for the record, you are the only person I've ever heard of that has his legs swell up after leg day. lol Seriously?

Jason Newman
05-27-2010, 10:54 PM
well i wont go out on a date in sweats, in fact i will never own a pair....
and im the only person who has their legs stay full after leg day? i doubt that...

but i odnt deny the lawn dart thing, which is my friggin issue,
as far as competition they are nowhere near good enough even for most natties, but i dont plan on competing anytime soon....
hows the rest look sally?

What does a typical leg workout look like? Poundage/sets/reps.

a serious leg workout would be

leg extensions, 4 sets 10reps weight on pinloaded would be arounf 150-160 i cna do 200 but my knee caps start to pop and crack.

lying leg curl 4 sets 10reps 110-120lbs
squats 315 for 4 sets of 10 either box or free squats
seated leg curl 4 sets 10 reps if i remember rigth the last weight was 180
and then calves, but i try different stuff with calves all the time because damn theyre stubborn

There's a difference between "full" and a "so big I went up 2 pant sizes".

...and are you really serious about competing if you aren't willing to fit into anything but 32's?

So which part were you not serious about?

This. This is the part (one of the parts) I can't take seriously. Pete Ciccone doesn't even have separate pants for after leg day. Neither does Derik Farnsworth.

it was all serious lou...

sally, at this time i have no plans to compete, so no

ok...........
i dont go up two pant sizes.....

my waist can fit in 32' but nothing else will,
I DONT EVEN OWN A PAIR OF 32'S ANYMORE

im merely sayign that i have to buy 36" to be comfortable at work,

I DONT OWN DIFFERENT SIZE PANTS FROM DAY TO DAY....

caps arent yelling just my main points :)

So, on days 4-7 your legs will fit comfortably into size 32 waist?

Sledge
05-27-2010, 11:36 PM
Or buy size 38 jeans to accomadate weekly leg training. And a belt. Or even better suspenders.

These have great waist adjustability, lots of leg room and suspenders. You can't loose.

Those would be good for your off days... but not those days where the swelling in your legs makes them blow up. Sledge's suspender idea is much better.

o well since im not competing it isnt as serious as the other guys.....

personally i think as a judge, you need to bring up overall mass, and this would include weekly leg training. i have a hard time believing your legs measure that much bigger with that training program, let alone any training program.
