Is this supposed to be a type of deadlift? That's a very small ROM...Impressive weight but not sure what she is doing ...

I see this ALL the time in Japan. Mostly with guys...they load up a Smith machine with 150 kg an proceed to do squats with about 6 inch , seriously...unracking is half of the workout.

Its like a really short ROM rack pull - I try to set the safety bar to the lowest peg available which is usually around shin level or just below the knee.
