I just responded in MC, but didn't want to ignore all the nice stuff said in here...

Soooooo I was too hard for bikini... haha. Guess that's not a bad thing then! Jr Nats and then Tammy and I can re-assess the situation and see what the future holds for me. Either way, I'm much happier with my physique this year and that improvement alone is a huge accomplishment for me.

I got to talk (under less than ideal circumstances) to Steph today backstage. I had never met her in person and all I got to say is that pictures do not do her any justice...she's an absolute stunner! When I first saw her I was like WOW, if this is what bikini looks like then I'm all for it!
Steph, I do think you look incredible. You are probably walking a thin line between figure and bikini but the most important thing is that you are happy with your physique and the improvements you've made.

Thanks all. I learned from one of the judges today that my tan was also an issue... they thought it was blotchy and distracting. I'm a little bit embarrassed that that's the case, but it is what it is. I'm going to take this as a learning experience to try and do better for next time... it just wasn't my day, but I had a good time nonetheless and made a few friends backstage which was pretty nice too. :)
