For those of you who are doing it or have done it I would like to know porcentages you ended up while doing this diet. What was the % of protein, Carbs and fat you used. And I wonder if any of you figured out total calories?

Thanks.

There is a whole section here on RX covering Keto. Dave Palumbo has his own very effective version.

BTW, I can also answer one part of the question - most days there is NO carb, just oil and protein. (and some veggies).

Veggies are carbs.

very true - especially for things like broccoli - point well taken - pure Keto is usually done through oils (mostly EFAs) and lean protein - and you stay away from any carbs until a "refeed" which is often eaten only once in several days -

Ok, so I keep on reading and for what I understand carbs should be about 2 per meal. Protein meals (no milk added) has around 6carbs, at least the one I use. Based on this read, cabs will be from veggies mostly.

Here's a quick sample of 2 day eating (all in grams, before cooking):
Day 1ProteinCarbs Fat egg x216210protein 5284chicken breast2203protein 5284tilapia2301protein 5284Peanut butter 2tbs8616Total 2253242Calories 9001283781406

Day 2ProteinCarbs Fat egg x216210protein x25284can chicken x 22000protein x25284can tuna x23200protein x25284Total 2242622Calories 8961041981198

Now I realize this is way low even for me at 170. But since I am learning about this process I will have to do some mayor adjutments so bare with me.

Sooooo, coments for improvements on this issue. Be aware, I do not want to be 200+ again. I float around 165-170 and that has worked for the most part. I do want to learn and if I can lean out/improve/learn in the process then GREAT! Also, what method are you using to know when you have entered Keto?

Thanks again.

I guess I am missing something here - my understanding of the Keto diet is to throw yourself into ketosis - so your body burns its own fat for energy. So you have a carb up meal or day of meals but then the hell begins - you make sure you do not have carbs - extremes------> stevia, no crystal lite or splenda since there are trace carbs in it ---- so you are only eating fats - maybe 30-40% and protein. It is tough but it works to help, but I also take supplements at the same time to point the body to fat burning - like COq10, etc. You mention carbs in the diet above, so I do not see the cycling on and off of them - did I miss something?

The above mention was just a quick over view. I do have 1 carb meal on sunday (last meal of the day).

2 ways to know when you are in Keto. 1. Keto stick from pharmacy 2. Your breath will peel wallpaper and drop birds in mid flight.

Very true Baldie - but is it a little better than the Protein Veggie diet where you can smell like ammonia - that is fun sweating acid. My wife complains - clothes get thrown out, I get thrown of the of gym, etc

I started off with Dave's keto diet and then made slight adjustments.

Meal #1
Shake: 1 scoop Isolyze (29g for 27g protein and 110 calories) with 1 level teaspoon of All Natural PB (no sugar added), 3 Omegalyze softgels, 5 Arthrolyze capsules, 3 Anavite (Gaspari multis), shot of macadamia nut oil
Meal #2
Shake: 1 scoop Isolyze (29g for 27g protein and 110 calories) with 1 level teaspoon of All Natural PB (no sugar added)
Meal #3
8 oz meat (orange roughy, 4 Wendy's or McDonald's hamburger patties, steak, etc.) and a salad
Meal #4
Shake: 1 scoop Isolyze (29g for 27g protein and 110 calories) with 1 level teaspoon of All Natural PB (no sugar added), 2 Kre-Alkalyn EFX capsules
Meal #5
8 oz meat (orange roughy, 4 Wendy's or McDonald's hamburger patties, steak, etc.) and a salad
Meal #6
Shake: 1 scoop Isolyze (29g for 27g protein and 110 calories) and 1 heaping tsp of Fiberlyze with 1 level teaspoon of All Natural PB (no sugar added), 3 Omegalyze softgels, 5 Arthrolyze capsules, 3 Anavite

Once per week: Spaghetti and meatballs! (in place of Meal #6)

Lost 20 pounds in twelve weeks. Still following keto and looking forward to seeing what the next twelve weeks brings. :beerbang:

Haven't counted calories or given macros a second thought other than sticking to the diet, watching the mirror, and a weekly step onto the scale to gauge progress.

Those keto stick are worthless, imo. And my breath has always done that. ;)

Good luck at Nationals!

Two points to consider - IMO - 1.) No carbs, not even crystal light, splenda, - at all , and 2.) macros are about 60% protein, 40% EFAs, but then every body is different, and the lower your BF% is the more important cardio will be. best of luck to you ---- oh and refeed every 5-7 days is fun if done right - I have done the all day carb up, and the 1 meal - cheezeburger & fries - either works ------ for a while, its all in the tuning to keep getting measurable results
