However, boxer Shane Mosley filed a fraudulent defamation lawsuit against me and the book has been tied up in litigation ever since. Of course this was complete nonsense, so when a reporter called and asked if I had duped Mosley as he claimed, I simply set the record straight by saying that he "knew what he was taking." In short, my attorney will soon file a second motion to dismiss the bogus case. Because of the $12 million amount claimed as damages, the judge allowed discovery before ruling to dismiss the case. Mosley has now admitted in a video taped deposition that he knowingly used EPO. Excerpts of his testimony under oath are posted on YouTube. It's easy to find. I had not said a single word about Mosley until he lied publicly by saying that I had tricked him. The entire case is based upon fraud. Hopefully, it will get tossed soon and I can make some updates and revisions to the book and get it released.

Mosley had lied publicly on several occasions after his testimony by saying he didn't knowingly use drugs and that I had duped him into taking them. Once his grand jury transcript became public, it became obvious that he had lied about not knowing what he was using. Mosely later testified in New York and again he admitted to knowingly using drugs. So Mosley simply told a grand jury that he knowingly used PEDs and his transcript was unexpectedly made public by the government. Once again, he likely thought his testimony would remain under seal and that no one would ever learn what he had told them. In short, he was wrong and he outed himself during his own testimony.

I'd imagine RX muscle is one of the few places where you'd get such a positive reception. With all the negative press you've received over the years, I'd imagine the media scrutiny has been very hard on your family especially the unfair accusations and criticisms. Did bringing them into the business make this any worse? I'd hope the answer is no, but the media (and people) skeptic in me tells me that the answer might be otherwise. Do your kids ever have to deal with the backlash of all the nonsense espn has been trying to brainwash us with for years?

Good question about the negative press I've received over the years and the effects it has had upon my family members. Initially, it was extremely difficult for them. The infamous BALCO raid and the overwhelming amount of television coverage did create some serious problems for my family to overcome. Thereafter, there have also been some rather positive stories written about me and my daughter Veronica helping to run SNAC and grow the business. Veronica has been interviewed a number of times over the years, so at least she has been given some opportunities to tell her side of the story.

See the link below as an example. A feature story was done by ESPN in 2007 called "The Ringmaster Rolls On." Its a 6,000 word expose with 11 photos. My understanding is that this is one of the largest spreads ever done by ESPN.com.
