Im really curious about this product. It seems that all the competitors in my area who are "on", use this particular brand. Is it just regular whey isolate? What makes it different and better than other whey proteins? Its also very expensive, everywhere I look its like 65 bucks for a big tub of it.

Currently im using Progenex recovery and more muscle for the month of September, and so far its impressing me.

Ive been using Humapro over the summer and getting used to not drinking protein shakes was different, but it worked, and worked very well.

Before the Humapro, I tried MAP and really liked that as well, good taste, and good recovery.

Not the, best but a good brand. There are a few others that are just as good out there justook around. If u can aford humapro just keep using that, its great and gives the most protein for the calories.

Whey isolate is whey isolate, regardless of brand. Compare the grams of protein per serving and the serving size of the various products to see what you are getting. Isolyze is one of the purest out there and the flavoring system is great....that is part of the reason for the higher cost. It is another case of you get what you pay for.....others are cheaper but I doubt you will find a better tasting whey islolate. For those on a budget, I would recommend Dymatize Iso 100...high quality, fairly good taste, and great price.

Where did you see it for 65? Was that for the 4.10 pound tub? If so that's a good price for it.

MD supplement store has the best prices for Species products. I believe the 4 lb tub of Isolyze is $64.99 for members.

You must be a client of Dave's. I've shopped around on the net and $64 is the cheapest out there.

I have used Isolyze for a few months now. I have Crohn's Disease so I have to be pretty picky with the protein that I use.
Isolyze was exactly what it said it was, pure protein with very little extra ingredients for flavoring. I have used almost every flavor and have no problem with my stomach and digesting it... now to me, thats worth a few extra bucks.
Hope that helps

Species Nutrition Isolyze (Whey Protein Isolate)

When first receiving Species Nutrition Isolyze Whey Protein, I had never tried a whey isolate. Basically this is the stuff for serious nutritionally conscious persons; it has the highest concentration of protein available for the lowest amount of carbs and calories.
It’s a dieters dream come true with 110 calories, zero carbohydrates, and 27 grams of pure protein per serving. But my friend that isn’t all, it tastes like the creamiest vanilla ice cream you will ever taste. For the best results I mix 12oz of cool water with 2 scoops of powder. This is two servings but it provides 54 grams of protein. I recommend this power also for milk sensitive athletes or dieters because the protein from the whey has been isolated; therefore the lactose is no longer present.
You can really do a lot with this powder, drink it straight or mix it in a smoothie. Heck its good enough you could just eat it plain! The only real issue I had with the powder was it can make you really gassy if you aren’t used to taking protein powder, but don’t worry in about a week you won’t even notice it. Species Nutrition uses an unique product to isolate the protein from the milk; it’s unlike other similarly-styled products on the market, with a protein yield many times above similar products. For those that traditionally have to supplement with different amino acids, the Species Nutrition Isolyze contains a great deal of BCAAs. At around $30-35 stocked at a number of reputable online retailers, there is no reason that you should not pick up a 2 pound bottle of Isolyze and see exactly what it does for you – I know that I’ll have it stocked for whenever I get done with my workout. It also works as a meal replacement; no amount of words can describe the versatility that Isolyze enjoys.
