I could use an honest assessment here friends. Here it is, not the best I've been w/ only 6 more wks. to go. I'm currently at 191lbs. and feel like I need to be 185lbs.
Training and diet are as follows:
2500cal, 315g pro, 190g carbs, 50g fat
Strength training 6days/wk.
Cardio 2X/35min. each session 6days/wk. Once on day 7.
I think I'm going to keep the same approach with the diet for maybe 2 more wks. and then re-assess keeping going or throwing in the towel.

Thanks Tammyp, that's what I needed to hear. I think I'm chalking this one up to lesson learned and not to try to do any shows at the last minute esp. when you're not fully committed to what it takes. Life is simply throwing too much at me right now with a new career and a prospering gym so live and learn I suppose.

How old are you? Your legs look good, but your upperbody has a ways to go to look like your avatar. It is possible.

I'm 40. I've been training for the past 20+ yrs. though really serious and w/ a purpose for the last 10yrs. I've competed in 3 shows over the last 3 yrs. and am hooked on the sport big time. I realize I'll never be a mass monster that's for sure but I've been able to hold my own at the local level around GA. By far my best show was last Oct. which is where my avi. pic is from. You're correct my legs are my best body part by far. I have incredibly small arms among other parts to work on. But again, I love this sport and so I'll just keep on keeping on.
I believe I'll re-group, pack on what I can over the winter, and go back to having a prep coach next go around.
Thanks again for both of your inputs.
