Who would you buy it from? Any recommendations as to a dealer?

I would try to find someone local, as shipping will be pretty rough. Some equipment shops will ship it for free to their store and you can just go pick it up from them. If you don't mind a used bar check craigslist or see if any gyms have closed in your area.

Be careful buying locally because there are a lot imitations out there. I bought 4 bars from this site and shipping was not bad

If your not lifting weights above 500 you may not need that heavy duty of a bar, but you will not have to replace it for many many years
