I've never used a crock pot and was going to go buy one and try it out.

I am currently on Dave's keto diet.

Can any of you guys tell me how to cook my meat
in a crock pot.

Do i cut the meat up?
Do i add water to the pot?
What else to i put in to add some flavor?
how long do i cook it and what tempature?

also, is the crock pot even a good idea?
Does the meat come out tastey?

Thanks for any help

Cut the meat into pieces.

Add your veggies. Maybe a little water, like 1/3 cup, especially if you're using fresh vegetables instead of frozen.

Add whatever herbs and spices you like for flavor.

Cook on low for 8-10 hours.

Comes out very moist and tasty.

I have a great crock pot cookbook I got a long time ago: "Ready and Waiting" by Rick Rodgers. You can probably still find it on Amazon, and inexpensively. While you will have to modify the recipes due to Dave's keto diet, I highly recommend the book as it will teach you great technique (such as searing meat before cooking) and give you good ideas on spice combinations, etc.

Do a turkey chili or stew. Cook your ground turkey, add your spices, beans or veggies. Put it on low & you're done. It's good.
