So I have a female client 23 works a graveyard shift. her workout is in the morning after work, after her workout her muscles swell to the point where she finds it hard to put her pants because the muscles swell so much on this will last for three to four days and the muscle become very hard and ridged she drinks a lot of water I have dealt with Clients having DOMS the day after but I have never heard of this type of reactions of swelling for days after.
Anyone here ever have this happen or have a client that this has happened to?

I don't see a problem with a 23yr old having problems putting pants on.

Actually while not to that extent I do stay "swelled up" for about two days after a killer leg workout.

id tell her to go see a doctor, you shouldnt have a "pump" for half a week, maybe its in her mind, but if not then i'd def. tell her see a doctor

I seen this happen one time to a young girl that another trainer was training she went to the hospital for it and sued the trainer. I don't know what the result was in the end.

That's crazy... That extreme of a pump doesn't seem normal- should probably run it by her physician, IMHO.

If a physician is consulted. make sure it's a sports physician. An normal GP won't have a clue and will just guess.

My legs can stay swollen for a few days after a big leg day. But not pumped.

The first thing I told her was to see her doctor but like most 23 year old she well it don't seem that serious, so I told her till she gets clear from her doctor I cannot train her I'll give her the number to the two sport doc's I use
Cause it's not just her legs her whole body swells

Definitely needs to consult a doc. Could be a lot of things, none of which should really be ignored.
