View Full Version : My recipe for better protein bars

Ingredients-

1 cup fresh ground peanut butter
3/4 cup raw honey
1 1/2 cups brown rice crispies
1 scoop vanilla muscle milk
1 tablespoon flax seed oil
4 tablespoons shredded coconut(toasted)
1 package ntbm better protein bar mix

Prep-
1. Heat honey, pb, and flax on low, stiring, until well mixed. Allow to cool for several minutes.
2. Pour pb/honey mix over protein mix in large bowl.
3. Add brown rice crispies to mixture.
4. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
5. Pour into caserole dish, sprinkle toasted coconut on top and refrigerate.

This recipe will yield 12 bars with the following macros per bar-

497kcal

25g fat
40g cho
28g pro

Is there a way to make cleaner very very low carb and fat protein bar? I am sure you can with just

Egg Whites
Isolate Protein Powder
Cottage Cheese
Little bit Oatmeal, Grits or some kind of Flour
Berries?

Better protein bars are so delicious.. nothing compare.. perfect snack for everybody!!

i love adding in chocolate or vanilla isolation into the mix for added protein with minimal calories added....it depends on the flavor of the bar to determine weather i use chocolate or vanilla

Yeah, as you can see from the above recipe, I also like to play with amount of protein. You just have to careful not to add too much or it messes up the texture.

yeah i agree, i accidently added to much once and got a dried out batch....but what i did was got a water spritzer and spray the bars alittle, it helped out
