View Full Version : Does a No Contract Policy Promote Substance Abuse?

In some wrestling federations, they have no contracts. As an addiction doc, I've seen that a no contract policy can lead to men wrestling with severe injuries who then begin to rely on narcotic pain meds to get them through a match.

Does anyone on this board have an opinion on this topic or have had a similar experience?

If one can't pass the "test" they should be fired. How can independent contractors be told that they have a fixed schedule (by the company), be 1099'ed yet have no say in anything ? Shit, I remember when ibuprofren, then naprox, became OTC. Good times. UA are announced 30-60 days in advance. HGH and low dose water base test is the bomb these days. PK's are like pez candy. Took me 2 years off all pk's (even otc) to get my health right. Now I stick to Guinness and Jameson.
