Hey guys. I'm 20 years old and have been lifting since I was 15. As a former skinny kid, I got too much into focusing on mass and just got too fat. I got up to 265 at one point and am now down around 170 lbs at 5'9''.
I've been cutting on about 2200 calories a day- high protein, moderate fat, moderate-low carb and training 5 days a week with cardio every day. I had been doing pretty high volume and 30 minutes HIIT, but recently switched to lower volume and an hour of low intensity cardio. I know now I was probably overtraining- doing dumb stuff like 20-30 sets regularly on all body parts while on a caloric deficit.
Basically I want to know what I should do from here. I still have too much bf to try and add size I think but don't know how much more I can lose before I just start looking skinny. I consider myself carb sensitive and whatever my next diet is I know it will be keto if I continue to cut and even low carb for bulking. I love bodybuilding and want to compete one day but I feel I am far from that point. I don't know any bodybuilders in my town so I've been kind of doing this all on my own. Comments and suggestions would be awesome!
