All American Strongman Challenge @ Fit Expo

Events:

DAY 1
-Farmers Walk - 160kg/ ~350lb each - 40m/132ft up and back.
-Power Medley - lift and carry for a distance of 20m/66ft each: a 300lb sandbag, a 320lb aluminum block, a 330lb keg, and then a 400lb shield within in a 75 sec
-Louis Cyr Dead Lift (last man standing) - starting weight 705 - weight will increase until there is One Man Standing

DAY 2
-Super Yoke - 415kg/915lb - 40m/132ft up and back
-Overhead Lifting Medley - lift and press overhead five (5) Aluminum Blocks weighing 105kg/235lb, 115kg/255lb, 125kg/275lb, 135kg/300lb, 145kg/320lb in order within 120 second time limit
-Stone over Bar for Reps - lift a 175kg/385lb stone over a 56" bar for as many repetitions as possible within 75 seconds.

Arnold Strongman Classic (Pro) events
Day 1:
Apollon's Wheel - contestants will lift the 187kg(415lb) axle bar overhead for as many repititions as possible.

Hummer Tire Deadlift - Contestants lift a specially-designed 14-foot long bar weighted with tires and metal plates. The beginning weight for the event will be approximately 600 pounds (270 kg).

Day 2 Morning:
Circus Dumbbell - Contestants lift a 242-pound dumbbell (110 kg), up from 228 pounds, over their head as many times as possible. Contestants are allowed to use two hands to bring the dumbbell to their shoulders, but must lift it overhead with one hand.

Manhood Stones - Contestants lift round stones weighing approximately 535 pounds (242.5 kg) and 452 pounds (205 kg) over a bar approximately 49 inches high as many times as possible in 60 seconds. Contestants who can lift the heaviest stone will not have to attempt the lighter stone because one rep of the heavier stone will beat any number of reps of the lighter stone.

Day 2 Evening:
Timber Carry - Also known as the Farmer’s Walk, contestants will carry a wooden frame weighting approximately 1,003 pounds (450 kg) up a 32-foot inclined ramp as fast a they can. Straps will be allowed to help with grip



Arnold Amateur World Championship (winner qualifies for 2012 Anrold Pro)
Day 1:
Ironmind Axle - Contestants clean and press a 325-pound axle (147 kg) for maximum reps in 60 seconds

Digg Dogg Strongg Yoke Walk - Contestants carry a 950-pound yoke (431 kg) for 80 feet for best time.

Digg Dogg Strongg Frame Carry / Sled Drag Medley - Contestants carry a 800-pound frame (363 kg) and drag a 800-pound sled (383 kg) for 60 feet for best time.

Digg Dogg Strongg Side Handle Car Deadlift - Contestants deadlift a Toyota Camry for maximum reps.

Day 2: Top 10 from Day 1 (on Fitness Expo Stage)
Digg Dogg Strongg Log - Contestants clean and press a 325-pound log (147 kg) for maximum reps. Each rep must be cleaned for 60 seconds.

Digg Dogg Strongg Hussefelt Carry - Contestants carry a 400-pound apparatus (181 kg) for max distance.

Atlas Stone Run - Contestants must lift stones ranging in weight from 300 pounds to 420 pounds over bars ranging from 50 inches to 60 inches.

ASC's Southern Strongman Challenge (Pro-Am)

Bigg Dogg Strongg Last Man Standing Yoke - there will be 3 rounds for each weight class. top 8 move to round two, and top 4 of second round will move on to 3rd round. Weight for each round: LW 731lbs - 810lbs - 910lbs, and HW 810lbs - 910lbs - 1010lbs. Distances will be 60ft - 50ft - 40ft respectively for both groups.

Bigg Dogg Strongg side handle car deadlift for reps - LW use Toyota Corolla, HW use Toyota Camry. 60 second time limit

Bigg Dogg Strongg Log Clean and Press for reps - LW 275 lbs, HW 300 lbs. Clean each rep starting from the ground. 60 second time limit.

Bigg Dogg Strongg Hussefelt Carry - LW 330lbs, HW 400lbs. Carry for max distance without dropping

Atlas Stone Series - LW series 300-330-360-390-420 to 60"-54"'54"-50"-50" respectively. HW series 300-330-360-390-420 to 66"-58"-58"-54"-54" respectively

Takes too much time. There is a tight time frame for the Am contest and with 50 competitors you have to do quick events. However they could have done a DL for reps....the crowd loved the DL medley last on day 2(cough cough, which I won :p)

yeah its pretty close this year, heavy yoke, big frame, axle press... I like the stone series, and would like to see the pros do the same, like 450-550 series or something, that would be epic.
