Grind up nuts and cover the top of the tilapia. Bake in the oven. When it's done mix a 1/4 tsp horseradish with a TB lite mayo and top. It's good without the mayo/horseradish, too.

^ If you're baking it (I do), about 20-25 mins at 375 should be good. Stovetop, just check to see that the thickest part of the the filet flakes easily with a fork.

I like mine with fresh lemon and dill on top, or I mix a little parmesan, garlic powder and flax seed meal and dip the top side of the filet into the mixture before baking.

I pan sear, use non-stick spray, lightly season with cinnamon, garlic powder, and cyan pepper, 5mins, flip, 5mins, I cover with a lid to and add a few tsp water so it steams also. By far, my favorite meal of the day.

place it on a piece of tinfoil that you've applied just a small amount of garlic basting oil on (so that it doesn't stick), sprinkle with lemon pepper, garlin and whatever other non-salt seasoning that you like, top with chopped onions/mushrooms/broccoli or whatever vegie you prefer, and roll up the tinfoil around it...bake it just like that in the oven for 25 mins. It will steam cook and it is soooooooo good that way. My favorite.

Thanks for the ideas. I will have to try some of these. I have not had any success in the past of being able to get past the taste of mud in the tilapia no matter how I cooked it. Maybe one of these ideas will make it more palatable!

I do this exactly... with paprika and cayenne pepper sprinkled on top. I add paprika and cayenne pepper to my chicken too.

make sure you have your potato or rice already cooked, grind tilapia up, mix with rice or potato until its into somewhat of a patty, put your flavoring of ms dash on it, and toss it in the oven for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. itll make a world of difference in the taste!

Holy shit I feel like a Neanderthal Man. I put freaking salt and pepper on mine and maybe squirt lemon juice on it when I'm done. When I'm feeling frisky I use garlic salt. lol

i had a couple people try my tilapia and they loved it!! i am 9 weeks out and eat tilapia eveyr night what i do is...season it with garlicpowder first, then lemon pepper (use the company Badia becuase all the other kinds of lemon pepper are made with sugar this one is not) then parsley and spray the pan with pam put side face down with seasoning on it and repeat seasoningf on the other side.....heres the trick. if your allowed olive oil use two tsp and slowly pour it around the edges of the fish so it falls off and goes underneath... if your not using olive oil it still will tastwe amazing..the lemon pepper is the trick!!!!!!!!!

This sounds weird, but I like to bake it first plain. Then I'll put onions/chives, egg whites, and the bake tilapia in a pan with some paprika, and it taste like a Crab Meat Omelet. Pretty YUM!
