Took about three years of hunting to find a doctor that would get it covered by insurance. I also knew this doctor through the dad of a friend.

Total cost out of pocket was about $1600. Better than the $4200 I was quoted by a local plastic surgeon.

They kept me awake. There is about 5 minutes I don't remember, but I do remember having a full coherent conversation with the surgeon as he was working on me. I asked them if I could take the mass home, but they said they had to send if off for testing — bummer. Only took about 20 minutes. No pain, no swelling, no compression vest. He said I could go back to the gym whenever I am ready, but that I should be especially careful during chest and shoulder movements.

I have felt great all day today. Picked up my pain med prescription, but don't plan on taking any. No loss of range of motion.

This is life changing for me; I have had a stupid big smile on my face all day.

EDIT: Chest is sore the day after, but nothing bad. Little blood coming through the bandage. I haven’t used any Hydrocodone yet, just OTC stuff

I'll update with pictures in about a week once the smaller sutures come off.

Day 3 swelling is down and it's starting to look better. Haven't had any problem doing morning cardio, and I trained legs on Sunday.

Took about 6 weeks off after I had it done. Nerve endings still aren't back at 100% in the nipple region but who needs em lol. Had it done back in December

It's interesting that they kept you awake and you were conversing with the surgeon. I was under the impression that they used general anaesthetic.

when i went i was awake for mine as well. at the time i was a bit tight for cash and had already shelled out the 7k he asked for another 750 to be put out and i figured might as well start exercising damage control at this point

was not a bad experience at all. Dr Blau seemed very skilled so in that sense well worth the money i didnt feel nervous at all once he got started. i guess if a person is a little sensitive with that stuff they should get put out

Dr Blau is Fantastic. Being relaxed with your surgeon is probably even more important when you are watching him in action. Glad it all went well for you.

I have heard so many positive reports about Dr Blau...he is undoubtedly the best in this field as he takes the time to remove ALL glandular tissue so there is no chance of it recurring.

I never really thought of getting mine removed I had it since puberty swelling of the nipples was told it would prob go down but never did its not as puffy as yours but it was always something I had in the back of my mind if it would get worse luckily it never did.

I'm considering removing it as well. I'm looking for specialties and Dr. Blau is one of them.

I believe I'm going to need surgery done on my chest due to enlarged and stretched areolas and possibly fatty tissue underneath.

I don't feel any hard lumps though.

I've never done steroids so I believe my areolas are a result of pubescent gyno. I believe it started when I was between 9 to 12 years old when I got chubby.

If I get my areolas done by Dr Blau can he also remove all glandular tissue too? How much will that cost?

If I get all glandular tissue removed and I decide to compete in bodybuilding and use steroids could I still get gyno or is gyno impossible to get once all glandular tissue is removed?
