I don't know if this was posted (and I missed it), but I just read on Facebook that Dave Tuttle recently passed away. He was the lightweight 60+ winner in 2010. Anyone know if this is true?

Where did you see it on FB?

Not on Facebook a lot, but communicated with him about a month to 6 weeks ago. He was a great a person as a champion, and was planning on Masters Nats again.

Just checked FB, and his brother confirmed on Dave's profile that he passed away and a memorial service is planned (actually it was held yesterday).

Sympathy to his family and friends.

I had the honor of standing on stage with Dave for over 3 decades.

This was posted by Dave's brother, Jim Tuttle, on Facebook:

It is with a deeply saddened heart and many unanswered questions, that I must inform you that my brother, Bruce David Tuttle, has passed away. Apparently the victim of cardiac arrest on Feb. 18, 2011, Dave has moved on ... hopefully to greener pastures. He will be missed by my family and I. Please, if anyone can explain to me how a man so focused on his physical health and developing his body free of steroids could die so unexpectedly of a heart attack, I'd really appreciate hearing from you. I am still in shock ... sorry to be the bearer of this bad news.

Really sad. He was 61, and was a class winner in over 50 and over 60 divisions of Masters Nats.

Sad. Seemed like a good guy. Heck of a bodybuilder. RIP.

Rest in peace, Dave. You fought the good fight & walked the walk.
