BigAl33 is a longtime online friend of mine. We're both alumnus of BodySpace where we had a thread keeping track of our mutual goal of hitting a body weight of 240 lbs. I was trying to build up to that number while Al was trying to trim down to that weight.

We did points last time, like so many points for cardio (I'd be getting zero for that recently), so many per workout...

I'm off this week. lol How's that for a battle? Have some cold thing. Taking antibiotics until Friday. :mad: Stuffed up, sneezing, blecch.

So, no cardio and just sixteen sets this workout. Not counting the rotator sets.

No cardio for me. Could have done some tonight, but I used the "I'm congested" excuse.

We did this on Bodybuilding.com some time back. Issued points per workout and per cardio session, so much for ten minutes or 30 minutes of treadmill, etc.

I forget exactly how it went, but it was fun.

Yeah, memory like a steel trap, yo. :rolleyes:

Im here. Just busyyyyyyy. Had a good week tho. Diet was good. Im shootin for HIGH PROTEIN, mid amount of carbs and fat. Im terrible at logging tho. I will get better, i promise. Im so out of shape that I lost a lot of strength.

You guys talking about supps. Whats good now a days? Everything claims to be good, "Experiance 123244322% muscle gain and strength increase. lose all you fat in 2 days!!!" ya know, shit like that...I got some super pump maxx from gaspari and using syntha 6 for protein....

My split is pretty simple right now

MON- chest tris
TUES- CARDIO
WEDS- Back Bis
THURS- CARDIO shoulders
FRI- LEGS

I will improve my logs.....really I will. As for my goal, basically just get in better shape right now, lose fat possibly gain some muscle. When you slaked off for as long as I have, just getting to the gym and stayin consistent is a hughe goal!!!!!

theres some good supps now...the dmz by iron mag labs is a killer Ph if ur looking for one...as for your protein man, have you tried the gaspari myofusion of dymatize elite fusion 7? the fusion 7 is an exact syntha 6 copy!...im in the supp bizz, and just found out BSN started cutting Syntha6 with more soy protein so that theyre profits are higher after they just had a price increase...bye bye syntha 6 for me:byeb:lol...

but the fusion 7 is awesome!

the SP Max gets good reviews from my customers but i didnt care for it, or for the SP250 either, just me tho...i personally like using ANSI's new Xtreme Shock powder its a killer concentrate version with good energy and pump, and it tastes good...

other than that i personally am a big fan of BCAA's before workout and after cardio, i use Xtend and Dymatize Recoup, both are identical and only a $1 difference in price...

For fat burners theres tons of routes you can take...i personally am using the new Lipo 6 Black UC for my show...i love it...not much for energy but it has t4 hormone in it that boosts your thyroid production...if u want a thermogenic then USP oxy elite pro is awesome and also has the best appetite suppression on the market in it....for balls out energy BPI Rx6 is killer, its one pill a day and last 10-12 hrs! or u could use ALRI Hyperdrive which each last about 4-5 hours...

Have some Syntha-6 left but have switched over to a zero carb protein while doing keto. Using VPX's Shotgun MHF-1 pre workout.

Yeah. I know. Im a fat guy with bad knees and back. So I have to start off slow. Im hoping to incorperate some smith squats before I try the free weight version. I dont think of it as a total fail tho. Especially the way I have been slaking the last year or so...

^ I'm with you. Always getting to the gym later than I'd like. Tonight I got there with almost two hours to train but talked a little too much. Had to cut hamstrings and calves :cloud: in order to squeeze in 20 minutes of slow-speed cardio.

Woke up late. already 1030..... have to go to work today, headed over to, i hate admit, planet shitness, for a quick workout, its close to my house and cheap. Usually go to World, but this works when time is a concern. I have 2 gym memberships for a combined $20 a month.

Al, my brother did my taxes with TurboTax on Saturday. Had a mini cheat meal (two slices of cheese pizza) with my niece and two nephews and brother. My SiL is doing no gluten and so passed on the pizza action.

Today I visited my uncle and we hit Wendy's for my REAL cheat meal. I'm not even going to share, man. (But I hogged OUT!) Tomorrow it's back to protein shakes, burgers, eggs, and NO DONUTS. :cloud:

Might do cardio tomorrow, but will probably hit the gym again on Tuesday for chest.

Waited two weeks before having my first cheat, though.

There's 30 grams of protein in one of those 6 oz packets of pink salmon (Chicken of the Sea brand). I add a splash of extra virgin olive oil on and nuke that for two minutes. Quick and easy. Normally have one scoop of zero-carb protein powder (25 grams of protein) in a drink after the salmon.

Had one of those 5-day antibiotics earlier this year. Z-pack? Azithromycin, I think. Glad you're feeling better, man.

^ I had a heaping teaspoon of peanut butter, a 50g proteing shake (zero carb), and a VPX Triple Berry Redline 8oz drink (250mg caffeine) for breakfast.

Then a black coffee during the student breakfast time.

For lunch it was a 24hr allergy tablet, Omega 3/6/9 capsules, and another zero-carb 50g protein shake.

About 30 minutes ago I mixed up some BCAA powder.

Heading for some burger patties and a Caesar salad plus black coffee at Wendy's next.

I'm putting myself on three weeks of modified or light duty in the gym with my elbow tendonitis.

Pretty sure it's the medial epicondyle, left elbow on the inside area.

Years ago I suffered from injuring the lateral epicondyle. That was work related - throwing paper on a conveyor belt 13 hours a day and seven days a week did a number on me.

And I've reinjured those tendons in the past doing hang cleans. A great exercise that I do not mess with any longer.

I'll be doing single db work for my right side as well as machine work for my right side.

Should be able to do pec deck, pushups, squats, leg presses, leg extensions, leg curls, etc.

But my left arm is momentarily "trashed". :cloud:

Can up cardio and nail down my eating while I rehab my arm.

Al, did you hear anything on your keto question? I didn't hear the recent episode of HMR yet.

Keto definitely worked for me. I'm following it until I hit 175. Then I'll add carbs post workout.

No workout Fri or Sat..will do some cardio tomorrow. I did mow 3 lawns with push mower so there was activity. We finally had a few nice days so I was outside working a bunch.

Diet has been solid all week. Had a few doritos and plan on having some pizza tomorrow so that will cover my 1 hr eat what you want thing. I have to have something better during those fights for sure tho. DORITOS=:no:

I hope there is some weight loss on Monday. My sis in law asked me if I was losing weight yesterday, and my wife says she can see a difference, which is good, because I cant tell. I was definitely stronger the last couple workouts for sure tho. Going to new Chiropractor on Monday as well, hopefully I can get dome of these back issues resolved. The last chiro did nothing and I gave her almost a year....:mad:

On the treadmill now, Big Al. Approaching the half-hour mark with a goal of 40 to 45 minutes.

Started after 10 a.m., but I got a late start today so this is still "fasted" cardio.

Ha! I'm on a different Life Fitness treadmill and it kicked me into Cooldown mode at 30.

Stop > Exit > Quick Start

And we're back to 3.5 speed and 2.0 incline.

Sorry, not even trying 6.0. Given my shoulders, wrists, elbows, etc. I'd just turn an ankle. :eek:

Zeroing in on 175 lbs. Hoping the elbow is 100% when I reach that goal.

Elbow doesn't seem better at all. It's fine just hanging by my side, but any pressure at all and BAM :cloud: no good.

No energy tonight, so I'm doing cardio and will do legs tomorrow.

But there are snacks! I had two Slim Jims and a black coffee (okay, maybe some Splenda). The Slim Jims had one gram of carbohydrates each. I think I can afford two grams of carbs and stay in ketosis.

I'm hammering the elbow with supplements left and right. Plus I'm on my third or fourth week of resting the left arm entirely. Hopefully this will pass quickly.

Al, using Isopure Zero Carb right now. Have to order more Isolyze. Love the Vanilla Peanut Butter! And it's less gritty than the Isopure.

The Isopure is two scoops (been mixing one vanilla and one strawberry) for 50g protein.

I have some Syntha6, too (delicious, btw), but it's heavier on the carbs. No go while on keto.

Taking part in a transformation contest elsewhere. Goal 1 was to drop some fat and now Goal 2 is to add lean mass without blowing my gut up.

The one staff member at PF approached me outside the gym today. Said "corporate" was giving him hell about my lunk alarm video.

Who knew they had people watching? Or surfing the web looking for negative vids? Hell, I wouldn't even call it negative really?

I guess I was abusing the equipment. Not really sure what their objection was. I delete most if not all of the anti-PF rhetoric.

Yesterday I started my new meal plan (Thank you, Steve G). This is a BIG change from all those shakes. How do people stick with a diet like this? I'm eating all the time. You can't just scarf these meals down in five minutes. This is a LOT of chewing. Well, except meal 2.

Enough complaining.

The plan...

Meal 1
50grams Protein – 4 Whole Omega-3 Eggs, 6 Egg whites
45grams Carbs – ½ cup Oats (not level, ½ cup is only 27grams carbs) AND 1/2 large apple (approx. 3.25” dia. Prior to chopping in half)
16grams Fat – From above eggs

Meal 2
50grams Protein – 2 scoops Whey
14grams Fats – approx. 23 almonds OR 2 tbsp Nat. Peanut Butter (oil kind – is actually 16grams fat)

Meal 3

No way did I get a gallon of water in me, but I hit all the meals. Just finished meal 2, the fast one.

Monday I hit chest, shoulders, and triceps. Brief but intense.

Max-OT's system includes a shorter workout. Jason Ferruggia recommends briefer workouts for the average (or less than average) trainer. I'm proceeding with a three-day split and max of 45 minutes per workout and only 12-16 sets per workout.

Which diet, the keto one or the current six meal deal?

The evoo would be cheaper. I drink a shot every now and then throughout the day. The current meal plan says to pour it over the rice.

Keto works and it's perfect for me as my appetite has never been monster. This eating six meals is a major PITA. :mad:

Yeah, I shouldn't have said I'd delete it for him. Although he didn't seem to sold on the need to have it removed. And I did adjust the title and delete negative comments. The gym on Paxton Street is actually a great gym. PF gyms are individual, right? I'm sure there are good people throughout the gym chain.

Plus I told the gym manager that I would delete it. It took me a little bit, but I figured, hey, I should really keep my word.

Planet Fitness on Paxton Street in Harrisburg, PA is a good solid gym. It's a former World Gym and I believe the manager was there then. He's certainly no pipsqueak Planet Fitness non-bodybuilder stereotype.

Whats super dmz?

It's a supplement from IronMagLabs. Requires PCT and some say it's harsh on a person's system. I didn't encounter any issues during my first cycle at 10mg e/d and I'm not taking an insane dose now. Here's what I wrote in another thread:

This is the first product I've ever used that has required or directed a PCT.

I love dumbbells for just that reason. Know I'll get pinned by an Olympic bar. :cloud: NOT HAPPENING! lol

A million years ago I got stuck while squatting. It was in my room and I had to cry for my grandmother to come help me. LOL

She was, like, "What do you want me to do?"

I dumped it on my bed. Wasn't much weight, but I didn't have a squat rack and so had to clean the weight and jerk it up over my head and onto my shoulders, do my squats, and then get the bar back over my head and lower it to the floor.

I swear that five of that 205 lbs. body weight is water. I'm chugging upwards of a gallon a day.

My max is currently 200 on bench and up until recently I had never benched 185 in my life. Maybe a bouncing single rep with a lift-off as a 20something.

Tonight I got four solid reps with 185 and without a lift-off.
