This is my story; I apologize for the length, but I can ASSURE YOU it is a good read, and if you’d rather not. Just skip down to the pics!

I’ll try to keep this thread fun and creative . . . and post pics as I go.

Grab some popcorn...and by that I mean brown rice, here we go: (DEEP BREATH)

Two years ago...

Its 3am on a cold rainy night in Liverpool, UK, and I'm staring at the clock 'daydreaming'. I'm on assignment there for work and even though I've been there for months, I can't seem to adjust to the time change. As I finally began to drift to sleep, I was roused back to life by the obnoxious blare of my cell phone. It was a number from the states. Normally I would have slipped back into my dreamless coma, but I had a sinking feeling in my gut...unexplainable, but through flesh and blood, and kindred...I knew that this was a call I should take.

It was my mom's new husband...he was cold and short, as usual. He explained to me that 'Mom wasn't doing so good...and that I need to keep in touch, as she has been sent to the hospital'....I sighed, because it was extremely vague and confusing and I would need more information, to which he flatly replied, “I don't know " ............dead silence filled the phone waves across the Atlantic to the brim.....I felt my heart beats slow yet the blood of my veins pulse...The moment was tortuous. He was the only access I had to my mom at this point and he was revealing nothing. Like an animal trapped in a cage, and forced to watching their young get eaten alive I felt helpless and it tortured me. I was in another country miles away.

The feeling of sickness grew in the pit of my stomach, something was terribly wrong. I walked to my friend’s apartment (now at 4am) banging on his door...He opened thinking I was just drunk or playing a joke, but once he saw my face....I came in and explained to him what was going on. I immediately called my sister back in the states, and told her what just happened, and that we need to protect mom and figure out what the HELL was going on! I gave her the 'few' pieces of information the worthless new husband gave to me, and after several phone calls to the hospital, the police, the neighbors, and my dad’s efforts to use his 'doctor authority' to get answers...the final dreaded call came through....

It was my sister...crying..."Christy, you need to come home. Immediately."

As these words translated through the phone into my ears, the world went black, and time literally stood still. Never in my life, did I ever think, or even grasp the concept, that this day would come. I instantaneously let out the loudest scream and tears flowed heavily from my face. My dear friend Pawel, clutched me tight, as I kicked and screamed and cried. I was angry, upset, hurt...lost...helpless. My friend held me, till I could no longer cry.

The 11 HOUR flight from London to Denver was miserable. I had NO contact with the outside world, and the last thing I heard from my sister was that mom was fading and I needed to hurry as fast as I could. Can anyone possibly imagine the torture I felt, being completely unable to help MY FAMILY!? The most important people in my life!? I hated time, I wanted to be there. I wanted to tell her I loved her. I wanted to hold her hand so she wouldn't be scared. But no, I was stuck on this godforsaken plane for 10hrs as precious time of her life slipped by. I FINALLY arrived at the hospital at 1am went down to see her, and no matter how much you think you are prepared to see someone as they lie on the last moments, you aren't, I don't care who you are. It was hard for me, so hard. I wanted to hug her; I wanted to wake her up out of her dreamless coma. I wanted to say WAKE UP MOM! LOOK! WE ARE ALL HERE! C'MON MOM! But I was too afraid to even touch her. I cried at my own fearfulness.

We all gathered around her, as me, my sister and dad all held hands and prayed for my mom’s peace. And the most welcoming feeling overflowed from us. The room was at absolute peace. My family had not been together in ONE room in over 10 years. But at this moment, even under these completely horrible, undesirable circumstances...we all felt a sense of peace. We, we are the Poole family, and no one can break the bond that we have.

The next morning, my mom passed at 10:45am on March 31, 2008.

These events I believe have changed my life. Although I am angry and upset and sad that I can no longer call my mom up on the phone to gossip about the latest life changes or give her a warm hug! I know deep within my heart that she is SO MUCH HAPPIER in heaven, and that the world she is now living in far outweighs ANYTHING this world could have given to her. She led an AMAZING unimaginable full life. She accomplished goals and reached the farthest peaks. She truly, was an amazing woman. So from that day, instead of dwelling on loss...I chose to live my life....IN HONOR...of my mom. I wish that I could only be half of what she did, and learn from her...I want my mom to look down on me from heaven and be PROUD of who I am, the life she gave to me. I want to live everyday in happiness, and in peace, and to do everything I can to be a better person, not only inside, but on the outside as well. I want to strive to leave a mark on this world as my mom did. ---I will not rest, I will endure, I will not forget...for its not who you are underneath, it’s what you DO that defines you.

After much thought about just WHAT I could possibly do to make my mother proud from heaven above on her untimely death, I decided to follow in her footsteps and become a BODY BUILDER!!!! (Ok a "Figure Athlete"). This to me was my goal. There was no time like the present, and watching my mother's life be cut short, I realized that it was time to stop literally WASTING away and start LIVING MY LIFE TO THE FULLEST!!! THIS IS IT!!!! I wanted to radically transform into a POWERFUL strong woman, and reach my full potential.

Being young and naive and well I suppose ambitious....I went to the first figure coach I could find! (Mistake number one). He had a good 'reputation' and was full of a lot of promises. It wasn't two weeks into the program that I realized he couldn't give two shits about my life or my goal or my story.

It was a disaster.

I ended up severing ties with him before I even got close to stage weight because I felt like he was doing more harm than good. I learned more about the 'drama' of the bodybuilding world...and I hadn't even gotten the chance to compete yet!!! I felt like the 'fat girl on the cheer leading squad'. Not a 'professional client that wants to do something life altering'.

After that, I was very burned by the idea that I needed a 'coach'. I felt like if I could just read enough and learn enough, I had enough fire under my ass that I could really do this. So for the next year I learned everything I could and tried to do it on my own (mistake number two).

I learned SOMETIMES you can be 'too smart' for your own good. I tried everything. I would read something else, and try that. I would see something and try that. I was all over the map. I wanted to just get to that stage so bad that I was willing to do whatever it took to get there and didn't trust a 'coach' so literally felt like a blind monkey in a jungle gym. Lots of toys, no eyes to enjoy it.

After what I felt to be nothing but an up hill battle and constant struggle...I finally broke down. I had gained and lost the same 20-30lbs at least 3 times in the past year...yeh YEAR! Talk about radical yo-yo. I was binging and purging and carb depleting and keto'ing and anorexia...I was a mess. I just wanted to fulfill that goal I set out to do. Man. I lost it.

I ashamedly got down on my knees and prayed and threw in the towel. I was done. I cried in defeat like a 12 year old girl...I know embarrassing but it happens, because it wasn't that I let myself down. I felt like I let my mom down.

On came the depression. For 4 straight months I relived my mom’s death and the feelings I had never dealt with before because they were clouded by my journey to be a bodybuilder/figure athlete. Once that dream was gone....it was there.....in plain sight. I was face to scary face with the dark thoughts of my mind. And let me tell you that bitch is ugly and not someone I'd like to tango with ever..........EVER again.

I finally found the strength to crawl.....nay..........scrape and claw my way out of my depression and face all of the feelings I had been suppressing with the loss of my mom. I dealt with all the psychotic and emotional baggage that goes along with the loss of a loved one, and also got to learn a few cool things about myself.

That I can literally get kicked down pretty freaking hard, and STILL GET BACK UP AGAIN.........stronger!

After facing my 'demons'....and with a big deep breath...I am ready to try again and this time.....I am researching...(smart cookie!!)…and came across Shelby Starnes.

I had actually witnessed Shelby’s work, and time and again I am blown away. He actually worked with a very good friend of mine Brent Smith, who helped me greatly with the passing of my mom, and the bodybuilding world.

I hired Shelby and we got the ball rolling, in more ways than one you could say. We turned out to be such nuts together, that he moved on to California to train me 24/7. He by far is the best coach I could ever ask for.

Everything we do is totally logical and just makes sense. I’m in the best shape since I was in highschool…….and we aren’t done yet!
:peace2:

SOOOOOO latest update. . . .

Current weight 154.

I actually took ALL of last week off. It was GLORIOUS. My body definitely needed the break. We'd been dieting pretty hard since Jan 2nd. Took the week to basically eat WHATEVER the hell I wanted (enter Mexican Food and Massive amounts of Cold Stone Ice Cream!) and didn't really train. This all kinda coincided with us being beyond sick. Some weird flu. Had a fever of 103 for four days straight. Pretty much laid in my bed sweating and thinking about when the pain would go away.

Sunday (4/17/2011) we started "PHASE TWO" which is now going to be the 'suck' part because its taking my body even learner that its been in 10 years. Going to be a lot of fun. The goal is 135 right now. So only have about 20lbs to go.

5oz of Turkey Burger pattys (the premade ones from costco)
Chunks of Iceburg Lettuce
1TBSP Asian Sesame Dressing from Walden Farms
1TSP Sesame Seeds

I actually warmed up the turkey first, then put it on the cold crisp lettuce. Was YUM!

Hey girl- this is sooooo cool to see you laying the tracks for the journey to the stage. I think many people find the whole process such an important part of validation of whatever things they want to overcome, and it is a glorious way to do it because you can't cheat anywhere along the way because you look at the results ever day. The work speaks for itself..... And I'll point to your progress pix! Congrats to you - its so freekin' amazing when it works!

And thanks also for sharing your story. That's a lot to go thru and I know your mom would be so proud of you and so happy for you.

So when do we get to see you on stage? You know I'll be there!

THANKS JILL!!!! Yeh, I mean, I think I said it before, but losing weight sometimes to some people isn't about JUST LOSING WEIGHT.

Its about changing a lot of bad habits that used to be 'comforts and crutches' for life....so when you take that away, you have to face ALLLLL the crap you were dealing with with OUT resorting to food.

You have to learn how to be strong.

You have to learn a whole new outlook and mindset.

Its soooo much more than just losing weight. Its a life change. I think I went through a lot of that in the fall of 2010. Just kinda hit rock bottom? And had to admit some scary shit to myself. NOW its like . . . fuck it. LOL

Here I am, this is who I am, what I've been through. . . and ICE CREAM IS NOT GOING TO FIX THAT. lol. . . .

As far as the stage goes. . . as I explained it to my friend.

"I'm not going to think about a show until my ass is as tight as a fishes butthole"

So once THATS achieved....I'll pick a show. But probably in the spring of 2012? OH and I KNOW you'll be there! ;)

Hey Christy! I am definitely in for this ride... what an incredible story!! First of all, so sorry about your mom. I can't even imagine the agony you felt in the hours of traveling it took for you to get from the UK back to Denver. :( I am very close to my dad and I can't even imagine that kind of suffering and loss. I think it's amazing that you chose to honor your mom's memory by following in her love of lifting.

You look great, by the way... keep kicking ass, woman!! Love the pic of you guys training Arnold weekend - too cute!

And OMG, I wanna steal your puppy - what a little mushy face! I wanna eat him up!!!

GOOOOOOD MORNING LOVELIES!!! Weight at 153.8 today which was pretty cool because I thought I wouldn't be in the 153 range till Monday.

The last 20lbs I kind of expect to lose a lb/week as opposed to 2-3lbs/week like I was averaging before when I had more bodyfat. So whoo hooo!!!

Thank you soooo much Steph. Yeh that plane ride was pretty awful. I think it was the first time I cried in public. I just didn't care.

It definetly was a bigger goal than I realized at the time to take on, but now that I know this is going to 'work' and I'm on the right track I felt more confident to start this journal.

Thanks!!! Yeh he's seriously the most awesome dog ever. He's pretty 'rare' around here, whenever I'm out with him its almost impossible to accomplish anything bc everyone will stop me to ask what his breed is.....We started just to tell people he's a 'CARIBEAN SEA WOLF' bc it got annoying saying 'Shiba Inu' and people still going 'A whaatt?' I'll post up random pics (can you tell yet that I'm ALLLLL about the pics!!!) of 'my favorite things' as we go along....currently my fav is NutraPlanet Chocamine. You can also get it at true protein as well.

http://www.nutraplanet.com/product/nutraplanet/chocamine-powder-100-grams.html

http://www.trueprotein.com/Product_Details.aspx?cid=25&pid=6938

This is basically all the goodness of Chocolate with out all the 'crap'.

From TrueProteins Description: Chocamine is a proprietary cocoa extract that offers all of the positive health benefits of chocolate without the unwanted elements such as fat and carbohydrates. Studies have shown that the material exhibits effects including increases in fat burning, increased alertness, improved mood, decreased appetite, increased energy, increased performance and concentration, and numerous other health benefits. Chocolate is naturally rich in the methylxanthine alkaloids theobromine and theophylline, the amino acids phenylalanine, tryptophan, and tyrosine, antioxidants, minerals, and the biogenic amines phenylethylamine, tyramine, and synephrine. Chocamine also helps to curb cravings and appetite, which can be particularly benefitial to users with strong chocolate cravings.

I usually put about a teaspoon in my coffee in the AM and it gives it a yummy Mocha flavor, but also an extra KICK.

I seriously have been telling EVERYONE about this!!!!!

Today's Thought: "You can ALWAYS add 2.5 more pounds"

Today we trained back, and I've actually been dealing with some lower back issues. I've been to the chiropractor already, but might be going back later on next week. So can't do things like deads or hyperextensions....its VERY annoying.

One of the things I was thinking about today was my version of 'two more no matter what'....well....sometimes it should be '2.5lbs more no matter what'

Thats what those measly little plates are there for. Even if you think you're totally maxed out, you can ALWAYS add 2.5 more lbs to your lift.

I'm blessed that even our dumbbells at my gym go up by 2.5lbs per increment, so if you're looking to make the jump, but adding 5lbs will cause you to sacrifice your form, take it 2.5lbs at a time, and then another, and soon you'll be up 5-10lbs on your lift.

Todays Workout:
5x20sets Wide Grip Pull Downs, first 2 sets warmup, 3 last sets pretty hard
5x8 Seated Hammerstrength Isolateral Row-One arm close grip
3x15 Chest Supported Rows, wide grip, elbows out, 1 sec hold at contraction
3x10 One Arm Lower Lat Pull Downs, kinda like an oblique crunch. These were a total pain in the ass...
4x15-12-9-6 Pyramid Style Hammerstrength Iso-High Row

Followed it all up with 25mins on the treadmill and some dual foam rollin!

BOOM!

HAPPY SATURDAY MORNING PEEPS!!!!!

Current Weight: 155.2

So today is an off day, so just did 60mins of AM cardio this morning since we're going 'out' tonight, rather just get it all outta the way in the AM, but usually split it up.

Not too shocked about the weight jump; since I didn't expect to be 153 till monday and this ENTIRE weight loss journey its been gain a pound, lose 2 pounds, gain a pound, lose 3 pounds. LOL. I usually don't get too concerned with weight fluctuations overnight as I used to unless I notice a steady increase over the week. Then we'll make adjustments to diet and cardio.

Shelby writes for T-Nation and he posted this today and I thought it rocked so I think I'm going to post it here as well. . . if I may?

Rolling With The Punches
by Shelby Starnes - 04/23/2011

You are going to get hit.

Hard.

A lot.

It's inevitable.

You can cower in the corner and let life beat the shit out of you, or you can learn to roll with the punches.

When the opportunity is right, you can strike back with unrelenting force, giving your challenges an upper-cut to the jaw, sending them reeling, bewildered, onto their back.

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.

When we look at champions it’s easy to see their successes, how they win with seeming ease and grace. What isn’t spotlighted is the road of hardship they took to get there; the getting knocked on their ass time and time again; the blood, sweat and tears from which their success was built.

They didn’t fail each time though – they just learned a new way to not achieve their goal.

Fall down seven times, get up eight.

If it’s easy, it’s not worth having.

Keep the pix coming! ;)

I love the new Brit stuff so far... def gets me motivated to get moving!!

I totally agree. I am going to take pix at 150, easier to see the changes and also it motivates me more to get there at certain 'weights' bc its like Ok I can't take pics till I'm 'this weight' so I better bust my ass if I want to update my pics!

I will post a lot of annoying stuff though until then. HA! :p

Current Training Split

Sunday: Arms + Abs
Monday: Legs
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: Chest + Shoulders + Abs
Thursday: Off
Friday: Back + Abs
Saturday: Off

Cardio:
60mins on the treadmill everyday but split up so its 35mins Fasted AM / 25mins Post Lifting ; Low to Moderate Intensity: 3mph at 1-10% incline over the time span.

Diet:
Meal 1: 10 egg whites
Meal 2: 5oz Lean Protein + 1cup Veggies
Meal 3: 75g (about a scoop and a half) Trueprotein Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake
Meal 4: 5oz Lean Protein + 1cup Veggies
Meal 5: 10 egg whites or 75g Cold Filtration Whey Isolate

This is kind of 'rough' version, and not what I do everyday. I'll switch meals around and experiment with a lot of different recipes/variations/protein sources to keep it interesting, yet still making sure I get the exact macros we know that work for me.

I get a cheat meal when I feel like I really MUST HAVE ONE, but the diets been pretty balanced that I haven't felt the 'urge' like I had on other diets. Probably get a cheat meal every 2-3 weeks? But we're talking to make it a weekly thing, so we'll see.

Right now its just all about getting the scale weight down, focusing primarily on my legs, and just losing it SLOWLY so that I can let my skin tighten up over time. Even though my scale weight goes down.....my skin still needs to tighten up which just takes a lot of time, building muscle, and good old Palmers Cocobutter. =)

On my way to go tanning, but thought I'd post up a pic of how my dog sits. He has the WHOLE couch, but for some reason, he ALWAYS likes to hang half off the side. I think its his version of 'resting yet still being involved' LOL....such a spaz! 95% of the time he'll fall asleep in that position and his head and front legs are just hanging limp. I'll have to get a pic of that soon . . .

Thanks Dave, I honestly don't feel ANY different from when I was heavy. Its kinda weird, I guess bc the weightloss has been so slow? People see me and are like 'holy shit' and I'm just like 'what?? Oh yeh, I lost a little bit of weight'. I guess when I'm 140 I'll start to feel it??

We're going bowling tonight, hopefully we'll do better than we did at the Chucky Cheese Skeeball Championship with Matthew Kroczaleski (Kroc) & his wife Lauren. They SMOKED us. LOL

LOL, yeh he's a goofball!!! I think this thread is going to be 70% training and 30% my dog. LOL

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I can't wait to keep following, you are an inspiration. Keep up all your hard work :-)

Aww thank you! I don't feel like an inspiration at all, maybe once I've achieved my goal? I guess I'm just doing what I do and hoping I can help people out too. I've been through a boat load of emotional bs over the past 3 years and STILL going at it, so if I can help one person see that they can get over stuff and be stronger, than I've done something right.

Keep working hard lady! I am glad you have support behind you! It makes it SOO much easier!

I do to! I was super nervous to post this thread bc honestly with how the boards have been in the past, I was sure at least someone was going to get on here and say something rude or negative. But now that I see how supportive and welcoming and that there ARE good people out there in this sport, it just makes it all the more exciting to make progress so I can tell everyone about it! LOL ! ! ! !

So last night Shelby and I went bowling with a few other couples. The guy in the jersey is Dr. Clay (http://www.drclay.com/) who is a local prep coach and nutritionist. He and Shelby are actually doing a seminar soon if any local peeps wanna check it out: http://www.drclay.com/2011/04/registration-contest-prep-seminar-dr-clay-shelby-starnes/ and the other couple works with Dr. Clay and met at the gym. FUN group thats for sure. It honestly was just really nice to hang out with other people that live the 'lifestyle' and understand what its all about. Its nice to just be able to talk freely about stuff and not have to explain EVERYTHING you do. I have friends that are 'healthy' and into 'fitness' but not like bodybuilders. Its funny. My 'fitness' friends think its perfectly acceptable to eat crap in moderation and just go out and have 3 drinks. Which would be ok if you're not dieting, but its annoying when I'm dieting and my 'fitness' friends are telling me I'm doing something wrong. I learned there are two types. Health Hippy Freaks and Bodybuilders. Lately I've learned that hanging with bodybuilders just makes this whole process a LOT easier.

ANYWAYS. . . here is the pic of the group and one of me dressed up. I pretty much NEVER get the chance to dress up these days, so any outting I like to take the opportunity to just be a girl!

So pretty... love the hair! We both have the dark hair with blonde streaks thing going on - love it!

I know what you mean about friends not understanding. It's so frustrating to have to explain to people all the time... my family is just now starting to get it, though last week I was at my dad's and he was trying to offer me stuffed peppers ("Come on, it's healthy!" lol) I appreciate that they try, at least.

LOL THANKS Ibarramedia! :hmn: my facebook kinda blew up with I posted that pic too. ugh I just don't get it though. I still see the fat girl! Dude, no joke this is like the 3rd try with the hair. I think I've finally got it to a good mixture of the black to blonde ratio, and JUST as I'm starting to dig it, I need to go in for a touch up soon, so we'll see! LOL

I seriously love that phrase "C'mon its HEALTHY" I'm going to make a fucking tshirt with a piece of FRUIT cake on it and have it say 'c'mon its healthy!' LOL

That I think is "healthy peoples" way of though. I don't wanna be "healthy" though, I WANNA BE A FUCKING ROCK STAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

No joke, I was at work once and in the break room this easily 265lb older woman was sitting at the table talking to her coworkers about these cookies she made. She was eatting them outta the tupperware and she was like 'I like these because they are healthy and good for you because they have cranberries in them' ((((they were peanut butter chocolate cranberry cookies made with enriched flour)))) I just laughed to myself and walked away. I mean, I'm not f'ing perfect, nor do I ever pretend to be..... else I wouldn't have made this thread about how I've yo-yo'd back and forth for 3 years. But I feel like THAT is just kinda delusional.

Today we hit Arms which is usually a pretty fast paced workout.
Current Weight: 154.2
Cardio: 35mins Fasted AM on the treadmill
Meals 1 & 2 then
10mins bike warm-up
3x12 ez bar tricep pushdown (kind of a warm up)
4x20 ezbar cable overhead tricep extension
4x8 palms turned up kickbacks (these are pretty tough and you can't use as much weight when you have your palms facing up the entire motion..max was 12lbs)
3x20 decline barbel skullcrushers
4x10 seated hammercurls (max 17.5lb dumbbells, probably could have went higher?)
4x8 straight bar biceps curls w s 2sec hold at contraction
4x8 preacher bench ez bar curls w 2sec hold at contraction
Finished up with 20mins on the bike for cardio
Meal 3

Then subbed meal 4 & 5 for....

CHEAT FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I decided to have my cheat meal tonight:
1) Because I was already making food for Shelby's cheat meal
2) I was being a total snappity biotch
3) Next planned cheat is May 7th and didn't think I'd last till then, so wanted to kinda get it outta the way and not do it next wkend then have the May7th cheat so close? I don't like to cheat close together, I like to push them out as much as I can until (REFER TO REASON NUMBER 2)

So I made Shelby his Coconut Macaroons (ate 3), had like 1/2 cup of mixed nuts and of course did the standard ColdStone Chocalate Cake Batter Ice Cream with Peanut Butter, A brownie and Hot Fudge. Love it size.

My hearts pounding pretty good right now...and I've brought it down to 55% snappy. :p

Oh yeh and a Honey, Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwhich. LOL . . . OK I think I'm going into shock, time to pass out.

Some good news though. Just got a project I've been working on getting for the past 8months, FINALLY. So I'm pretty excited about. I start tomorrow. Bad news is that gone are the days of 8am cardio. . . ugh waking up at 6am. The other thing is I just had an interview last week with another company that wants to bring me in for a THIRD (ugh don't you know by now people?!) interview to be full time with them, it would be a seriously legit job with a huge pharmaceutical company around here. Not just consulting project type work that I've done in the past. It would be the real deal. So kinda funny how I have nothing and now I have to make a choice. . . .

;)Monday Funday! Right!?

Current Weight today was 155, only up really like a pound since the cheat, but we expect it to be higher tomorrow. Usually shows up like 2 days later on me for some reason, but then a nice drop after........I hope, LOL.

I definitely felt like shit this morning for AM cardio. My body did NOT agree with all those sugary carbs, since I haven't had like 'pure sugar' in a while so that was "fun" . . .

How can something SO GOOD be SO MEAN to your body?! Sadness!!!!!!!

I had a GREAT workout though since I was loaded up good and its was my first real leg day back since I've been sick the past 2 weeks so I really wanted to give it all I had.

Here we go:

3x10 Lying Leg Curls Moderate to Heavy Weight
1x25 Lying Leg Curl Lower Weight (burn baby burn)
3x12 Standing Leg Curls Flexing for 1 second at contraction
2x20 Leg Press Warm Up
3X30-20-10 Leg Press Increasing weight per set, dropping 10 reps off the set. Continuous tension, no locking out, Nicccccce and deep.
2x10 Smith Machine Warm Up squats
4x8 Smith Machine Deep (Ass to ground, then up only 3/4 way) squats, going to feel that tomorrow for sure, Ended up using a belt for the last set. I still don't have the belt thing quite figured out. . . Seems like I never breath out at the right time blah blah blah
1x20 HEAVY Lunges. 20 one way on one leg, pause rest, 20 back on the other leg. These sucked, heart was pumping nice and good after these fo'sure. I took really long strides and got as low as I could while being careful NOT to swing the dumbbells but keep them nice and tight at my sides so all the force was coming straight outta my glutes and hams. GLORIOUS.
3x15 Smith Machine Stiff Legged Deadlifts---usually like to finish up legs with some deads to get it all stretched out but since my backs been acting up, the smith was a good option.

Followed it all up with 35mins cardio on the treadmill. Decided due to the cheat to go a little nuts with the cardio. Did it at a 30% incline at 3mph. Pretty much felt like I was lunging up a hill for 35mins. Nice stuff.

Heres what I had for food today:
Meal 1: 10 egg whites
Meal 2: 1.5 Scoop Choc PB True Protein Whey
Meal 3: 5oz Chicken, 1/2 Cup broccoli 1/2 cup cauliflower
Meal 4: 1.5 Scoop Choc PB True Protein Whey
Meal 5: 5oz Chicken, 2 Cups Broccoli and Cauliflower

Gotta be up at 5am tomorrow so taking my spaz machine I mean Dog out for a little nightly stroll and then I'm crashing.

TILL THEN

Coldstoneeeee! <3 Thanks so much for posting your food pix. I get so much pleasure from sharing mine, so glad to know I'm not the only one! haha...

And dude, I feel your pain with the healthy cookie crap. People do that to me all the time too. It makes me sad how many people don't realize what really is and isn't healthy. I was one of those people!!!

At one point, about 5 years ago, I used to joke that I was "on" what I called "The Rockstar Diet". I drank about 4 cans of Rockstar/day (and no, not sugar free either!) It suppressed my appetite, so I thought that was a positive thing. Some diet, huh?!

I feel so much better about myself since adopting and learning about this lifestyle... and I'm still learning new things all the time. I just wish I could share this knowledge with people who could benefit from it. But first, people have to want to change and they have to want to give up the cookies and the nonsense crap on a regular basis. Don't get me wrong... my tastebuds appreciate that stuff! My ass, however, not so much... lol.

Boobsday Tuesday!?

What up chickies!!!!

CURRENT WEIGHT AT 153.2 (THE LOWEST WEIGHT TO DATE! )
:hmn: HUGS ALL AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woke up bright and shiny at 5am and busted out 35mins of cardio on the treadmill. Pretty chill 0%incline and 3mph. I was still asleep and also my legs were TIGHT from yesterdays leg session. However, it deff felt WAY better than yesterdays hangover/stomach purge, eugghh. But deff feeling the whole not having as many hours of sleep thing.

Today is an off training day, so that means:
1) Tanning
2) 25mins of cardio later in the evening
3) Lots of puppy time

The new project is going well, and the diet isn't hard to deal with at all. Its a reallllly nice job site and so far I definitely like it here. And hey, more $$$ to buy bling isn't bad . . . ;)

Q & A SESSION:p

^^ If you loaded carbs, it generally takes 36-48 hrs to fill out (i..e suck up water) so that may be the source of the delay in weight gain.

Actually with carbs for me its generally overnight, but with Fats it takes like 2 days. I'm at my lowest weight ever today which is wierd all around, so maybe I'll have the jump tomorrow?

Its my 'pre-period' too and my body likes to flucuate like hell before and during that week so thats been something we've had to account for through out this whole diet. BUT fingers crossed that the weight just keeps going down?;)

HA HA HA Oh yeh, now that I'm more comfortable with controlling my diet, I get kinda silly about posting my junk food pics. I think a real milestone was that I realized the other day that we had like a TON of junk food in the house and I had totally forgot about it. I mean, before just knowing it was there would eat away at me, but now it doesn't phase me. (((as much)))

The cookie diet is the root of all evil! LOL!

Oh and the ROCKSTAR DIET, omg, were you just wired like non stop?!?! I am good on ONE (sugar free). It sounds good though, the name that is! LOL

AND YES about the people having to WANT to change. I have people ask me over and over again what to do but once I tell them what I know and that it takes CONSISTENCE AND PATIENTS AND HARD WORK, they tune out for a quick fix :(. Perhaps that will work for them, but this/that is what works for me and thats really all I know or care about at this point. I think once I reach my goal weight of 135 I'll investigate more into helping others with their diets??

Its so funny Im checking out the pics and I dont know which Id want more--the chicken and brocc with the mustard or the icecream. Is that friggin sick? LOL I forgot all about my love affair with mustard last season-tomorrow I will SURELY bring it in my lunchbox.

Icecream is like crack to me---I dont know what happens..I say Im going to have just a bite and it turns into licking the container. It doesnt help that Im lactose intolerant (which Im assuming I did to myself, of course)--no sundaes trips for the kids while dieting. I completely dissuade them. Tonight they asked for icecream and I broke out icepops and didnt blink and eye lol.

Thanks. I know its not either, but right now, it also kind of IS. Because I still have quite a bit of bodyfat to lose, so can't really go by 'look' just yet. Once I'm leaner and we can see what I'm lacking etc, then I guess the scale won't matter too much. 135 is the goal weight. So. . . 18 more pounds to go...........whoa..............THAT is wierd. I've never thought of it like that before. FUnky!

LOL at the diet. Yes lets just call THIS the rockstar diet shall we! :yep:

PS----I feel like our threads are getting intermixed I love it! I'm like ok where did she say that at, mine, hers, Cdimeos?! LOL....Its so cute. We're a little family. . . :p

Dude, its wierd. I used to HATE mustard, but this year I'm like a retard about it. I actually am on a soy sauce kick too. Like EVERYTHING gets soy sauce. FULL SALT. Its nuts. Today I mixed the mustard AND the soy sauce in one
meal. It was intense. Dieting = wtf LOL

Ice cream is seriously some kind of powerful voodoo drug. I'm a firm believer in it. LUCKILY I've perfected my cheat meals and have them down to a SCIENCE these days. Chocolate Cake Batter Ice Cream, 2 Tablespoons Creamy Peanut Butter, 1 Chocolate Brownie, 2 Tablespoons Hot Fudge. ALLLLLLLL mixed up. UGH. So good.

Occasionally I'll say 'oh I'm gonna get something different this time, but......I still end up coming out with the old standby. LOL

AWWW:flowers:THANKS for the compliment. I still feel like the ugly duckling though. I think thats because I have a goal in mind and I feel like nothing I do till them is 'that great'. I think I'd rather keep that mindset too so I don't end up slacking and accidentally settle.

Don't bother arguing with your scale. Just be polite and he'll come around. If not. Buy another one till that one agrees with you;)

CURRENT WEIGHT TODAY: 152.6:hypno: WOOOOOOOW.

NOW thats the lowest I've been to date. AWESOME. :excited:

Feel like the walking dead though.

Did my cardio this morning and just wanted to take a nap after. LOL

Plan for the day is:

35MINS AM CARDIO - DONE
CHEST AND SHOULDERS + SOME AB WORK = TO BE DONE
25MINS PM CARDIO = TO BE DONE

I'll post up my work out later obviously.

Also my diets been kinda different since I've been working which might be the reason for the recent weight droppage. More straight up protein sources, less veggie meals. . .Dunno, but maybe those trace carbs from the veggies affect the keto thing!?

Whatever, I'll take it. LOL

I'm so exhausted.

The space underneath my desk looks really welcoming right now. . .

I don't get anything until Sunday this week (a full 7 days- ugh) but, I have to keep the now six week goal in site. :)

Good job on your progress! That's awesome - it's amazing how good you feel when you are almost there!

HA, I hear you. I NEVER look at crap like that, its not even good, its just crap. But there pull got to me. I like to take pictures of things. Like things I can't have. I feel like taking the picture is a way to 'have it' in a way. . . I'm retarded. LOL

17 pounds now. DAMN. Feels weird. I'm running outta clothes. LOL

In dire need of a mental break. I love my new job. Its actually pretty cool! But man, sometimes you just wanna zone out. PERFECT time to post up some pics!

Todays Meal Plan:
MEAL 1: 10 EGG WHITES + 2 TABLESPOONS SALSA VERDE
MEAL 2: 1.5 SCOOPS CHOC PROTEIN
MEAL 3: 5OZ GROUND TURKEY COSTCO PATTYS + LETTUCE AND PURPLE CABBAGE
MEAL 4: 1.5 SCOOPS CHOC PB PROTEIN
MEAL 5: 5OZ GROUND TURKEY + 2 CUPS OF VEGGIES

Here is a pic of my lunch. I was actually pretty excited today. I like when my lunch has some 'color' to it.

Also is a pic of my dog, that HAS to sit on the corner arm of the couch NO MATTER WHAT!!! You can see how our other dog (Shelbys Boston Terrier) is actually UNDER my dog. He sleeps like that. Yeh. . . total spaz. LOL Shelby's dog doesn't seem to mind though. LOL.

Costco Turkey Burgers are so good! And the puppy!! how cute is that face!! Let me know if you want to do any 'dog swapping' lol... I have two St Bernards and they are driving my crazy right now...mostly with keeping up with the 'cleaning of the drool'.. on the walls, ceilings (yeah you never know where it's going to land when they shake), bedding, counters..etc etc...LOL

Oh yeh, I used to buy ground turkey breast and then make them into patties, but these ARE WAY easier. I make like 2 sleeves at one time and freeze them. It fits in with my diet which is nice. The ground turkey breast is expensive, these are pretty cheap too. Does the job.

LOL, Surprisingly our dogs are really clean!!! I'm actually pretty shocked bc I have a little place, but they are really tidy. Now the toy situation on the other hand............LOL I feel like a mom. I am like, I need to train him how to put his toys BACK in the box after he's done playing with them!!! LOL

Here was tonights work out:

NOTE: We do a lot of 'band stretch sets' using an elastic type exercise band. Sometimes I feel like a dancer in Cirque De Solie with all the band exercises between every set, but since I've been doing them, I've definitely noticed an increase in strength.

3x10 Warm up on Machine Chest Press
3x10 Machine Chest Press w 1 second hold at contraction; Heavy Weight. SLOW!
6X6 Incline Barbell Press Pyramid Style, Max is 80lbs...I'm weak but getting there
3XFailure Pec Dips on the 'hoist' machines *I hated these new machines at first, but some of them are 'ok'
3x5 Flat Bench Press 1 second hold at contraction

1st Shoulder SuperSet:
3X25 Machine Rear Laterals
Super Setted With
3x15 Rear Delt Banded Pulls, Hands in front and pull band apart using rear delts; fire these out

3x15 WIDE grip barebell rows

2nd Shoulder SuperSet:
3x10 Dumbbell Side Laters
Super Setted With
3x10 Band laterals – stand on band with right leg (or you can loop it around the bottom of a rack somewhere) and loop band around left wrist. Let hand come behind your back, and then lift up to 10 o’clock position (just above parallel).

Followed it up with 25mins on the seated bike. I think I feel asleep during cardio. :hypno:

So for whatever reason, and don't ask me how I actually accomplished this....but I get to work from home for the next 2 weeks. Pretttttaaaay Legit. I'm so excited about sleeping in. I actually have a shit ton of work to do, but its nice that I'm at a point with my job that I can work from home.

(I'm stealing the numbering system from you because there's just too many things to comment on here and I don't wanna lose my train of thought, lol...)

1. More weight loss... YEAHHHH, GIRL!!! :hmn:

2. Your meal pics look so appetizing... they say that you eat with your eyes before you eat with your mouth, and you def got that visual thing down.

3. Speaking of food in your journal, THANK YOU for posting about that asian sesame whatever thing last week. I bought the Walden Farms Sesame Ginger and Asian Dressing. I can't freakin' wait to get creative with them. Walden Farms is like a dream come true... LOVE their products (most of them!)

4. Working from home is nice. It's hard for me to do that sometimes because I don't have a work laptop that is synced with my computer and I'm always scheduling meetings or working from files off the network. Have FUN... sounds good that you'll get to mix it up a bit. What exactly do you do for work?

5. Glad to know I'm not the only person who pairs chest and shoulders together... one of my fave training splits. I may have to try that band thing...

6. Haha @ you posting a 3oh!3 video. I've been playing "Starrstruck" out this week! Those guys have some pretty good beats in their songs... def gets me pumped to train!

Have a great day!!!

HAPPY THURSTY THIRSDAY! ;)

THIRSTY FOR SOME PROTEIN SHAKES THAT IS! LOL

CURRENT WEIGHT: 150.6 :lift:

whaaaaaaaat up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW. Last time I remember being at 150.6 I was 17 yrs old. Yeh. 10 years ago! DAYUM!

I am pretty sure the weight drop is due to switching Meals 2 & 4 to shake meals due to being at work. So I'll stick to that for now and see. I honesty don't like to do shakes bc they aren't very filling at all. But hey with the weight loss like its going, I'll do it! :yep:

Skipped the AM cardio this morning for a SUPER long walk with my pup. THEN.............

DRUMROLL.................................

KICKBALL TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I decided to join WAKA Kickball league! I'm actually really excited! My first game is tonight. I don't know ANYONE so I'm really looking forward to making a lot of new friends that are hopefully around my age. LOL. I haven't had the best luck in the friend department since I moved to California 5 years ago, so FINGERS CROSSED FOR COOL PEEPS! (((Oh, and that they like me too! HA!)))

Q & A TIME! (((MY FAVORITE BY THE WAY!!!)))

GOODMORNING SEXY BEING!!!

The numbering system is THE SHIT. I'm retarded OCD and I swear my life is figured out ONE LIST at a time! LOL So, I'm glad my 'evil' ways are spreading to you! LOL

1) even MORE weight loss!!!!!!! BOOM! LOL
2) I think the visual thing came from going to Whole Foods all the time. They have the best salad bar I've ever seen and have opened my eyes up to more 'diet friendly' veggies!!!!! Its cheaper obviously to buy the veggies and make the foods yourself. I get a LOT of ides just walking around Whole Foods. The colors there are CRAZY! Their floral section is gorgeous too!
3)YAY for the walden farms girl!!! Just be careful, too much and you'll be in the bathroom all day! LOL. I found that you don't need a lot anyways, Just a little drizzle and you're all set! Post up pics in here of meals you make, K!? ;)
4) I am a Biochemical Engineer. Basically I consult for a lot of pharmaceutical companies around me. Currently I'm working on the cleaning process for a FREEZE DRYER MACHINE (Lyophilization) that makes the Meningitis Vaccine. Its pretty cool stuff. The further I get in my career the more badass projects I've been lucky to get. So just keep pushing to be NUMBER 1!!!
5) I actually NEVER EVER worked Chest before like, in my life! It wasn't until John Meadows and Shelby started to write all of my work outs that they insisted I incorporate Chest. I have noticed a significant change though and will keep chest in my work outs from now on! The band thing is AWESOME! I will post up a video soon to explain the exercises. THANKS FOR THE IDEA ;)
6) I am always eager for new beats, feel free to post em up in har !

no youuuuuuuuuuuu have a great day! LOL :p

Definitely feeling the weight drop / hunger today.

My lunch COULD NOT get here fast enough! I even went out and tried to run misc bullshit errands to get my mind off of a solid food meal. LOL

Here it is:

BY THE WAY, ALL OF MY WEIGHTS ARE COOKED WEIGHT.

5oz Costco Ground Turkey Burgers
1cup Steamed Brussle Sprouts
Seasoning is Costco Sweet Mesquite

Hmmm....I think Coscto should sponsor bodybuilders....!?

So just got home from KICKBALL! :starwars:

I dunno I just thought I'd try that graphic out. LOL

This is the outfit I wore...it was 'theme night' and our team's color was black for tonight. Good old standby Skelly hoodie! ((Steph I know you're all over this one));)

Was actually really fun! I met a lot of very cool and nice people and I can't wait for my next game! It definetly won't be counting as 'cardio' by any means, so will need to get that taken care of before I go for sure.

Also the team all goes out and drinks:drunk: and eats at a pizza grill type place downtown after the game. WHICH normally in my 'normal life' would have been an even BETTER way to make friends, but obviously this isn't gonna work. I think I'll just be that girl that doesn't drink and brings my own food (since I have a meal right when the games are over) LOL. Oh well.

I'll post cooler pics of the games as the season gets underway.

ANYWAYS

I took today totally off from cardio aside from taking the pups for a decent run.

I decided to change my meals back to only one shake / day. I only did this because of the kickball game, but tomorrow if my weight goes up, then I'll stick to the two shakes per day..................sigh.

Meal Plan was:
Meal 1: 10 Egg whites
Meal 2: 1.5 Scoops Bannanna Coconut Chocalate True Protein
Meal 3: 5oz Turkey + 1 cup Brussel Sprouts
Meal 4: 5oz Turkey + 1/2 cup lettuce + 1/2 cucumber (Mrs. Dash Fiesta Lime Seasoning = BOMMMMMMMMMB...........Very 'tangy' )
Meal 5: 10 Egg whites

Shelby and I discussed me doing a cheat meal on Sunday. Definitely will need more ice cream this time. . . .

1. I'm already OCD, so you're just bringing the organizational side of me out even more! :p Every Saturday I send Tammy a table with my weight, workouts and notes about my diet/training from the previous week. Now I can go back and see how my body reacted after cheat meals, when my cardio increased, days off, etc. Screw organized. I bypassed that shizzle and went straight to obsessively anal! lol. OA > OCD and by ">", I mean... CRAZzZzZierrrrrr ass weirdoooooo!
2. That sounds yummy. I was reading reviews and watching youtube demos of mandolins last night because I have been wanting one for a long time to use to prep veggies so I can experiment with more flavors and recipes after my show. Who doesn't wanna eat a big bowl of colorful food that's good for you without having too many cals?!
3. I'm not a big condiment person to begin with and I measure all the ones I do use, so I'll def keep that in check - thanks for the heads up though! haha and my food meals are def not as exciting as yours, but I'll post pix of my food today. If anything, it will make you appreciate your own food more probably. It's not bad or boring (not to me) or anything... just don't think it's very exciting visually as some of the other stuff you've posted here.
4. No kidding - I work at a biopharmaceutical company too! LOL, last Friday was my 9 year anniversary... I don't have a science background though. I work in business development and coordinate departmental projects/activities/administrative work for my team.
5. I didn't train chest until a little under 2 years ago and I LOVE chest day! I feel so strong when I'm pushing some weight and seeing the line of separation from my neck to breastbone.
6. My musical tastes are ALL over the places. Seriously, my mp3 player goes from 3oh!3 to Britney Spears to Static X within a couple of songs. One minute you're rockin' out to Bullet for my Valentine or Three Days Grace and then a few songs later is Barbie Girl, haha. I have to be prepared for all the potential crazy moods I might find myself in at any time of day (car, gym, etc). :p

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! (new list... look what you started, are you happy now? lol)
1. Congrats on even MORE weight loss! ICE CREAMMMMM! I can't wait to see what you get! I'm looking forward to a big cup on May 22nd!!! Until then, you enjoy the rich n creamy goodness in my favor, k?
2. You never played kickball before? In Staten Island, we grew up on that stuff! There was always a game going on - either "on the fly" with all us neighborhood kids or in the schoolyard at morning/lunchtime recess, or in gym class, with actual rules and supervised by the PE teacher. I got a lil nostalgic for a hot minute and wanted to play! I don't think any of us on my block DIDNT have a kickball in our closet somewhere... fun game!

OK-Maybe you girls will inspire some organizational skills in me yet. Here's my stab at the list. Im such a poser LOLOL

1.Hot sweatshirt!
2.Mrs. Dash Fiesta Lime WOOT WOOT! This I use to recreate Muscle Maker Grills' Cancun Wrap for my husband. Actually--lately--I use it on everything. Last night I made ground turkey and greenbeans (I think Gail asked for a recipe somewhere and it left me with dinner plans LOL) and I added Mrs. Dash FL, crushed red pepper, hot sauce, water, and a touch of chicken boullion--it was super!
3.KICKBALL! I grew up in Queens--we played in gym class and kicked everyone's asses. Kids left with bloody noses. The bullshit they play in schools now is gay LOL
4.The drinking and pizza after kickball isnt a wash for you. I was always surprised at how I could get in another 1/2 gal of water over "drinks" and nurse a salad that didnt blow up my legs and ass like pizza does for a week. ....theyll be drinking and you'll be WINNING...you will be surprised at the following you may receive
5.God bless you on the brussel sprouts. My family keeps asking me if I will ever get rid of the terrible gas problem I have LOL.

ok ok end sappy tear filled moment. LOL awwwwwwww!

DRUMMM ROLLLL Q & A (((OCD STYLE!!!)))

Your attitude is totally infectious. Thanks for sharing your badassness with us! ;)

1) LOL, What does 'totally infectious' mean? I am super calorie low so I stared hard at that one. LOL I hope that is a good thing and I THINK it is! HA !
2) I think my OCDness has literally gotten worse over the years. I used to be really bad about locking shit. It was funny, it would like super bother me if I didn't check it like a million times. I've learned to 'let it go', but it still will flare up sometimes. Its so weird how the minds so fucked up some times. LOL. BUT. As far as organization goes, I totally get that from my Mom. I'm like a SUPER NEAT FREAK!!!!! I'm really tidy and am always cleaning up around here. Sometimes I wish I wasn't like that. I think I'd relax a little more??? OH and I totally spied your table in your thread and NO JOKE, I was like 'I think I'm going to get along with this one' LOL ! ! !
3) What are 'MANDOLINS' isn't that like a Chinese guitar?
4) 9 years!? WOW. That is awesome! I hope to soon get picked up by this other company. I just got an email confirming that they want to bring me in for an interview!!!!!!!!! I'm pumped, fingers crossed. I'm just happy that I have a job and currently might be able to snag YET ANOTHER job. We shall see. (MESSAGE me which company if you don't want it to be public ;) )
5) Yes exactly, I love seeing that line in the center of my chest, its starting to come out the more I lean up. Oh yes!
6) LOL, TOTALLY agree with the Ipod and needing music for random crazy moods. HA, so true. so true.
7) I will totally post up a pic of my cheat meal, just for you, you know how I roll. . .

Here is the good ness that awaits me. This stuff literally on a normal day would taste like a combination of melted plastic and playdough.....but for a cheat meal, POST ice cream, on a Ezikel Bread and Honey sandwhich, MY GOD. Its good.

http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/7219/goober.jpg (http://img69.imageshack.us/i/goober.jpg/)

8) I played kickball in like 5th grade, but not as a full grown adult. Ok partially grown.

Wow.......... 8.........and I kinda truncated it. THIS is going to be intense! ;)

OK-Maybe you girls will inspire some organizational skills in me yet. Here's my stab at the list. Im such a poser LOLOL

OH GIRRRRRRRRL. You're not a poser! YOU'RE A DO'ER! ;)

1) Thanks, I actually have a album on facebook dedicated to the 'adventures' of that sweatshirt. . . .

2) Dayum that sounds GOOOOD. I just don't like anything TOO spicy so I have to be careful with the red pepper/hot sauce combo! HA HA!

3)Sounds like Kickball is DEFF a NY past time! I grew up in Pennsylvania. Bailing HAY was our past time. HA!

4)Yeh, My new attitude now is you either like me accept me and be my friend orrrrrrrrr don't. I've been a 'people pleaser' for FARRRRRR too long in my life. The more weight I lose the more confident in my self worth has become. I no longer keep friends that don't contribute to my life in some mutually beneficial way. It sounds mean, but I've been the 'giver' for way too long for too many people. Its time to be a little selfish I think. I dunno, thats even HARD for me to say bc I'm such a giver, so I still kinda struggle with it. But baby steps.

5) HA!!!!! I literally laughed out loud... the added protein shakes to my diet isn't helping me much right now. TMI! lol

Well have to admit, pretty much had the shittiest back work out. HA!

I was pretty amped to work out. Took a couple GreenTea Extra Pills and one of those 'super energy pre work out' shots.

Get to the gym, do a 10min warm up on the bike....Start off with 3 sets of heavy rows......promptly followed by running to the bathroom to yack. :puke:

Sighhhhhh. Too many stims on an empty stomach = no bueno

Decided to sit the rest of the workout out. And once I was feeling a little better, got my 25mins of cardio outta the way and hit some abs.

Not a 'total' loss of a workout, but lame all the same.

BLAH!

Next time, I gotta take my stims WITH FOOD. Stupid stupid stupid.

I'm just feeling really depleted right now. No focus, no energy. Its weird when I was heavier and losing weight it never 'hurt', now that I'm a lot lighter, I just generally feel like shit. I feel weak. I'm still trying to stay positive and cherry and awesome though. I'm not cranky at all, which is good. I'm just.......blah.

Eh, Tomorrows a new day. AND I WILL ROCK IT!

Hmm... do you think Shelby would let you have humapro (1 scoop = 5 cal/25g protein per serving)? If you subbed that into your diet plan, then you would still be getting the necessary amount of protein, but would have extra calories to play with so if you wanted to have an extra meal per day instead of the two shakes, you might be able to? He's the boss, so ask him, of course... but it might be something to consider. I love HP and can't imagine not having it at all! I've been using it religiously since October. LOVE!!

1. Hahaha... "totally infectious" is a good thing. It means that your attitude is so uplifting and bubbly that it's easy to feel your energy and have it rub off. Spreading positivity like that is most certainly nothing bad at all!!! Sorry to have confused you! :p
2. I hate clutter in my apartment, so I hear you on the "always cleaning up" thing. I just have certain things that have to be a certain way or else I feel like the universe is on a tilt, lol.
3. LOL, I watch too much Food Network! A mandolin (sp?) is a cooking prep tool that slices food. I'm attaching a pic of the one I bought. I had a 10% discount coupon for Williams Sonoma, so I went shopping. I've been wanting this for a while and the one on Bed, Bath & Beyond didn't get great reviews, so it was totally perfect timing!
4. My company is private, really small, only one location so not too many people have heard of us. I'll be sure to let ya know once we make a big splash so you can be "in the know"! ;) Yeah, 9 years... I lucked out with this job and my bosses are really great and encourage my personal and professional growth, so I can't see myself leaving anytime soon (unless you know, UFC calls and wants to give me an Octagon Girl contract and move me to Vegas... or I hit the mega-millions, or... you get the idea! :p) GOOD LUCK on the job prospect. *fingers crossed*!!

Hahaha, girl I'll still follow along, I'll just scroll past the food pics very quickly lol. And thank you for the kind words!! And trust me, I have no special tips that you probably don't already know. Other than being a huge proponent of keeping a solid head on your shoulders and harnessing as much positivity that you can....that's been what's helped me the most, for whatever that's worth. And I think you have that down pretty good so far!!

ITS THE WKEND!!!! LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED BIOTCHES!!! RAWWRR!!!!!!!

Current Weight: 150.4 (yep, sticking to the two shakes, lame!!!!)

Here are some progress pics I took this AM. I can't really 'see' where I lost the 5 pounds from, but I guess in my waist area? Anyways. Shelby and I were talking yesterday that we think my stage weight might actually be around 125? Thats another 25lbs? So, I think 135 is a great 'off season' weight for me to hang out at, but I think 120-125 will look a lot better on me. I guess like we said scale weight doesn't really matter, but just gives me a number/goal to shoot for.

The leaner I get we also notice that my posing sucks. HA. I pull up my right shoulder a lot for some reason. So thats just something I'll have to work on, and taking the pics helps a lot with that.

So, did 40mins of fasted cardio this AM. I'm heading out now to go do some SHOPPING! YAY! for my sisters bachelorette party next weekend! I'm so happy and excited for it! It will be a nice vacation!

Oh on a different note, I thought I'd share this. I just got this deodorant and I totally love it! I know you girls sweat like I do at the gym, and this stuff smells SO GOOD and totally does the job. So far its my favorite one. I always like when I stumble across something worth the money, so thought I'd share. It smells like you're wearing light perfume. Good stuff!

YAY FOR Q&A:p

Hmm... do you think Shelby would let you have humapro (1 scoop = 5 cal/25g protein per serving)? If you subbed that into your diet plan, then you would still be getting the necessary amount of protein, but would have extra calories to play with so if you wanted to have an extra meal per day instead of the two shakes, you might be able to? He's the boss, so ask him, of course... but it might be something to consider. I love HP and can't imagine not having it at all! I've been using it religiously since October. LOVE!!

1) I asked him, but think we're gonna stick with what works for now. We only change things if it stops working, but I'll investigate that! The shakes are too bad, I just like to bitch. LOL

2) HA HA YAY! OK COOL! I will be as infectious as possible! I love it! Thats one thing people seem to always say about me is that I have a great attitude. I always see things in a good light. I don't really even try or notice I do it. I just like for everyone around me to take as much joy in the things as I do!

3) Oh ok. Cool. Thanks for the attached pic!

4) You will be at Junior Nats right? I will have to make some yummy goodies for you! When are you arriving/leaving? We have a photoshoot on sunday and I'm totally nervous. I don't know crap about all that make up stuff. LOL, Well photoshoot style. LOL

YAY! Yes, so tomorrow is my cheat meal days, so just avoid page 3 on here for a while! ha! Ya know you would think that all us girls just know everything, but really we don't, and sometimes even if its something that we do know, it DOESN'T hurt to be reminded, if ya know what I mean. And yeh, you're right, this really is all about mental stability more than anything. AT LEAST for me. For the past 3 years I think I had a lot of drama going on in my life and still figure a lot of things out about myself etc that I wasn't ready to clear everything and focus. Now I'm focused, happy, and content. I don't let food control my life anymore and that is I think the first key to making a diet work.

It took me a while to learn how to pose figure-style and I'm still not sure if I do it right. After a posing clinic last year, I would catch myself flaring my lats every time I looked in the mirror. I wanted to be prepared, just in case lol. I always screw up my footing on side poses. If I ever make the transition to figure, that's something I will definitely need to focus on!

Woohoo, bachelorette party! You must be so freakin' excited! Speaking of Vegas, I was looking up hotel and flight info yesterday for the Olympia. I'll be damned if I miss it AGAIN this year!!!!

I'll have to check that deodorant. I'm obsessed with Dove. I love their ginger-scented one. It reminds me of summer and just makes me happy!

What protein do you drink again? Can't remember if you mentioned it or not. I haven't had whey in forever and don't plan to anytime soon, but I was obsessed with Optimum Nutrition's Rocky Road and Dymatize's Chocolate PB for the longest time. Yummy!!! Dymatize's Fudge Brownie (casein) is one of the best tasting proteins everrrr! <3 I used to love making slushies with that. Tastes like a REAL treat, for sure!

Yeah, your attitude is friggin' awesome girl! I'm trying to be more positive the last few months. I really think it's a state of mind. I think therefore I do... something zen like that! haha. It's really crazy for me to let go of that negativity. That stuff is poisonous... it will bring you down hard if you allow it to, so I no longer allow that to happen. I'm in control, biotch! (<---- talking to my brain, of course! lol)

Yes, I'll be at Jr Nats... I haven't booked my flights yet, but last year I arrived on Thursday afternoon and left on Sunday morning. Sunday is daddy's day and my daddy and I always do something together so I probably won't spend too much time in Chicago before leaving or I would totally help you with your makeup for your shoot! Just practice and see what works and what doesn't until you find what you like... then do that! :) And YAYYYY about goodies... we'll have to talk more about that! Last year, I had some Chi-town pizza when I got off stage and oh mannnn... for a native NY-er to give props to another town's pizza is pretty sinful, but that pizza was seriously friggin' amazing!

Enjoy your cheat, girl! Can't wait to see pix!!

HAPPY SUNDAY GUYS! WE MADE IT ONE MORE WEEK! YAHOO!

Current Weight: 151.4 (feeling that period water weight gain, GRRR) But no biggie, I know it will be gloriously higher tomorrow after my cheat! he he!

Today we busted out Arms and AS PROMISED I took a sweet little video for you guys of the band exercises I was talking about. OK, so FIRST OFF this is the FIRST video I've ever done and I'm nervous as heck so sorry I'm retarded! LOL! But the idea for these is: I do between sets to help increase blood circulation and improve flexibility for an stronger and larger range of motion. Gets the blood moving to your muscle for an active rest between sets for a more powerful lift on your next set!

So for instance. On chest day I'll do a "super set" like this:

Incline Dumbbell Chest Press (4x10) super set with band stretch (4x10)

So I'll do my Chest Press set then get up right away and do 10 reps of the stretching. I do each rep pretty slowly to get a GOOOOOD stretch and lots and LOTS of blood flowing. Then rest for 30secs and get back into my second super set. I started only using these on chest+shoulder day, but now I tend to incorporate it into my arm day too if I'm feeling tight between sets.

I seriously notice that when I do these, each and EVERY set I do after the stretching is 10x stronger and I can add more weight because I have a lot more blood flow to the muscle I'm working rather than just sitting for 1min between sets and letting the muscle tense up. Thanks to John Meadows and Shelby Starnes for this tip! Definitely think ya'll will LOVE it!

Here is the vid:

eB3ucMnhCnE

Here was my arm workout for today (I promise I will start adding in weights)

Triceps:
Cable V Bar Pushdowns 3x12
Tricep Rope Overhead Extension 4x12
Pronated Kickbacks (same as last week) 4x8
Close Grip Bench on Smith Machine 4x10 w a 3 second descent (BRUTAL)
Incline Bench Skull Crushers 2x20s

Biceps: (my favorite!)
Seated DB Curls 5x10 with a 3 second negative HURTS SO GOOD
Half Past Hammer Curls (only go to parallel and hold for 1second) 4x10
Close Grip Chins (Palms together) 3x failure
Machine Preacher Curls 2x20/failure

Followed up with 30mins on the bike. Took the pups for a good 40min jog/walk this morning. Nearly killed Shelby's Boston of heat stroke, had to carry him the last little bit poor guy. HA! My dog however....the Shiba, still wanted to play when we got home. I don't know, but I want HIS energy!

ANDDDDDDD THEN............I had my cheat MEAL! I will post up those pics in a bit! =)

1) I will probably either hire a posing coach later on next year, or just start taking a bagillion videos. Either way, Shelby says I have to now start taking all my progress pics in my actual SUIT to see progress.......YIKES! I am not sure I'm ready for THAT!

2) HMmmm I MIGHT be down for the Olympia, we shall see. ;)

3) I use TrueProtein. I'll look into that stuff you mentioned but I really LOVE my trueprotein, HAHA. I have just been using it forever. LOL. But damn choc fudge!? OMG OMG OMG YES PUHHHLLEASE! Is it think and creamy like? I really like to make protein pudding! HA !

4)YEH GIRL YOU TELL THAT BRAIN WHAT IS UP!!!!! Hey I'm a number one example of knowing all about that depression girl. BUT its not the end and I think a lot of people deal with it. But its all about recognizing it and getting a handle on it. Its not something to be ashamed of at all. Once you get ahold of that biotch (your mind) YOU will be a force to be reckoned with my dear. Trust me on that one...and I think you know! he he he!

Ok well obviously we'll be hanging out at JR. Nats. Oh it is fathers day, damn it, THANKS FOR THE REMINDER! DOH! LOL ! ! !

I live in CHI TOWN so let me know what you ya'll need! Place to crash, resources, etc.....

If it's creamy protein pudding you want...Beverly International Ultimate Muscle Protein. 1 scoop 20g prot, mix up and leave in fridge for 30-60 min and you get jello pudding consistency no grit no lumps. Chocolate and vanilla both taste like cake batter. This is my dessert each and every night on or offseason (when I don't have a cheat). I am addicted!

Of course, when you said to shield my eyes, I just *had* to look because that's like trying to tell a 5 year old to keep their hand out of the cookie jar....riiiiiiiight. But I must say, I'm incredibly proud of you for upgrading your Coldstone size to the Gotta Have It. As far as I'm concerned, that's the ONLY size to get.

You GOTTA try Bev UMP. I thought people were joking that it tasted THAT good. Any better and it would be illegal, LOL.

Full-on abs day was nice for a while, then I got bored with it and wanted a change. Lately I've picked just one ab exercise to use as a warmup for every day I train, and do a different one every day. Like it much better that way.

Abs are it. Once I saw mine for the first time, I decided I NEEDED to stay lean enough to see them all the time. Very recently I got the butt-dent. Keeping my diet this strict, it's a tough call, I tell you: butt dent or ice cream in the off-season. Hmmm...jury is still out.

M-O-N-D-A-Y

WOW.

Insane!

Current Weight: 151.4 No weight change, so thats good? Be interesting to see tomorrows little bump, HA!

Today was super chaotic, but I got a TON accomplished!

Cardio: 40mins AM Fasted
Meal 1: 10 Egg whites
Meal 2: Cold Coffee + 1.5 Scoops TrueProtein Vanilla Birthday Cake!
Train Legs + 25mins on the bike
Meal 3: 1.5 Scoops TrueProtein Chocolate Peanut Butter
Meal 4: 5oz Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Meal 5: 10 egg whites

We absolutely killed legs today. John Meadows wrote up some freak nasty shit. Pretty much everything had a 3 second negative with a 1 second contraction and the last set was Leg Extensions with a 3 SECOND CONTRACTION SUPER SETTED with 20 paced lunges. I wanted to die. BUT like the sicko I am, I loved it! ha!

Gonna hope right in Q & A bc I wanna reply to a few other Journals tonight before I crash on that fluffy white pillow. . .

SPEAKING OF FLUFFY. . .

I kept signing this song today (since I was post cheat meal obviously) subbing 'pretty' for 'fluffy' HA HA HA I dunno but it was stuck in my head BAD! LOL (FLUFFY I FEEL FLUFFFY!!!!!!!!!)

On a more serious note, great job with your progress...yayay for abs!!!

HA HA HA HA HA! See now what am I gonna do girl, I was trying to help your ass out! LOL !! Yeh as I get leaner, my cheat meals actually get BIGGER! I remember the first cheat meal I had like in Feb? It was SO LAME. Like a small ice cream, now. . . look out. HA! I know from now on what I'll be getting. HA!

Thanks for the compliments! I am happy to have them there, but really, even better than the abs is the general loss of 'size'. I am so much smaller now than I was. Well 40lbs smaller. I mean, that alone just feels really good. Taking up less space and being 'lighter'. The abs is just icing on the cake!

Natalie Ariel for the win! :beerbang:

I love your abs! :ok:

HA HA! YEHAW! Thanks Ibarramedia! I can always count on you to blow my pics uppppppp! LOL BOOM!

Milk bones?? Aren't they sort of hard and dry?? :doggy:

Something a homeless guy was eating??!! (unidentifiable McDs remnants found underneath a freeway overpass perhaps)?? I don't think you actually ate MOLD/BACTERIA for cheat day!! I just don't believe that!!!!:p:

Girl Scout cookies are so much better tasting (but I do the Thin Mints....)!!

Abs are looking great!!!!!

HE HE HE You caught me, I started to make the list, and then I was like, mmmm I know I ate more I just can't even remember it right now! ha! I pretty much ate anything that wasn't locked up!

We LOVE girl scouts around here! LOL! I love the Thin Mints too but I don't feel like they are as satisfying as the Samoas? I feel like they are a 'appetizer' to the cookie family, no?

HA, I just asked Shelby what the 'butt dent' was and he looked at me funny. LOL, But yeh I have a feeling the more I see, the HUNGRIER I am getting to lean up.

For instance. I didn't even think I was going to break 155 and I did. Now I'm like anxious to get to 145~ To me thats just insane to even think about

Girl, you are so cute! I don't think my body can do that over-the-head band thing. I'll have to give it a try... but I think I'd pop my shoulder out of place, haha. I guess I should make an effort though as I could use the flexibility practice! And I do want more powerful lifts, so that alone is reason enough to give it a go! What is the band thing that you're using?

1. You don't have to share the pix publicly. I certainly wouldn't... haha. I go back and look at pix from 16 weeks ago and cringe. Nobody likes the before pic, but it's AWESOME to have something to compare the after's with! ;) It's sometimes hard to see your own progress, so this really helps alot!

2. Ohhh Olympia partyyyy! Okay, we'll take it one show at a time... for all I know, if I keep traveling for shows this year, I'll be broke by the Olympia lol. I REALLY wanna go, at least once though!

3. Yessssss. Fudge Brownie = <3 Everyone I recommend it to can't believe how yummyyy it tastes!

4. Hells yes... the power of positive thinking is quite a strong tool. I can totally see that now! It helps to surround myself with positive/inspiring/motivational/supportive people too!

5. Yeah, June 19th. There's so many holidays I don't celebrate... if people didn't tell me that it was Easter, the day probably would have passed without me knowing that also haha. But my daddy and I have a special relationship and we always celebrate father's day. We were there for each other when our family went through many rough times and we can look back and laugh about it now and how far we've come... that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger! (OR, as my one tattoo says, "Adversity is the stone upon which I sharpen my blade.") Truth!! :)

6. OMG, that pic of Natalie is HOT! I freakin' LOVE IT!!!!

7. Speaking of hot... damn girl! Check those abs. I see indents... isn't it awesome when you see your hard work paying off? Makes it all worthwhile!

8. How are your legs feeling today... jelly-like? Gotta love that feeling!

Natalie Ariel and your abs = HOT!!

Way to go on your progress chick! Your cheats look delectable and clearly remind me that it's been 6 weeks since I've had any other carb aside from potatoes and oats LOL. Im going to turn into a fucking oat. Ive always dieted under the mentality that I dont get a cheat until my ass looks like it deserves one --and the mirror says Im almost there :))

Isnt it awesome to wake up to a set of abs like that???

BTW-love your new man (love any man that keeps his mouth shut for sustained periods of time) and your posing pix look great. Im never crazy about my posing and then I have these aha moments when I tweak it to just the right angle and walk away smiling

I agree with Steph..you are quite 'infectious'...:D The kinda positivity and bubblyness (yea i make words up but you get my drift :D) that just spreads...!

Congrats on the abs...if that ain't motivation to stick with it and see what else is possible..i don't know what is!

The stretch you do with the band is something i do with a broomstick for warm up EVERY time i go to train upper body. Something I picked up when i did DC awhile back. Its been a staple and it definitely helps with the blood flow. It also improved my shoulder flexibility a lot! Overtime i was able to bring my hands in alot closer! I have an injury (bicep tendonitis) now for the past 4 weeks and tried this BEFORE i found out...talk about bitchin pain!!! ouch!!!

ARE YOU READY TO ROCK????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/6286/kissbig.jpg (http://img20.imageshack.us/i/kissbig.jpg/)

Current Weight: 152.4

So I guess there is the weight gain from the cheat, so good to know tomorrow I'll be back down. But I'm not sure because I'm expecting my perio, and I usually hold at LEAST 5lbs of water weight during that week, so not too concerned about the weight jump, but ya know its just funny how a NUMBER can totally affect your mood a little bit? I know the two reasons that its up, and I'M FREAKING ONLY 152lbs (as opposed to my 189), but oddly it still mildly bugs me? So stupid to even worry about it. I know soon I'll be at like 143 being like, damn it move to 141, LOL. And 152 will be a thing of the past! =) Well....then again, I do have my sisters bachelorette party this weekend....so maybe won't be seeing 143 QUITE so soon! HA!

Thin Mints are the ONLY game in Girl Scout town....I'll spare ya the butt dent story........:hugme:

No no I want to hear the butt dent story!!!! pleaaase!!!!

Girl, you are so cute!

Yeh at first the band stretching was challenging, but once you naturally incorporate it into your routine, you will love it! I promise. I got the band from Shelby, but you can get it at Walmart, Target, Dicks sporting goods. Its size 'medium' heavy. That seems to be the best one I've found. Adjust to what works for you! It opens up your chest and just all around feels good!

1) Eh, I don't mind showing them publicly, thats what this journal is for, to keep me in check, but then again, we'll see. My next pics are at 145 so I'm sure it'll be a while?

2) Oh you haven't been to the Olympia yet!? Oh snap! Well then maybe we should totally go? Lets chat it up over Jr. Nats? We could split a room or something maybe? Make it a fun little girls trip! =)

3) Nice tattoo quote. I like that. ;)

4) Its funny about the abs, I'm more obsessed with the scale right now then how I look. HA! and whats even funnier is....I feel like literally weeks will pass that I don't actually really 'LOOK' at myself. And that day, I stood in front of the mirror naked for like 5 mins and really looked at all the changes. I was like Hot dayum, this is fun. HA AH!

5) Legs are feeling SO GOOD! My glutes are really tight. I think the cardio after legs though really helps me recover faster! I am not as sore as I should be? But once I hopped on that treadmill this morning boy did they feel TIGHT. I love that feeling.

HA! YAY!!!! Yeh I love Nats pics! She has some great ones!

omg you go 6 full weeks!? Well I guess since you get carbs in your diet I could see that KINDA working out? LOL. I am having trouble making it a full week now that I'm on zero carbs, zero fats. Especially the leaner I get, the faster my furnace is going and I'm hungry 24/7. I'm kinda nervous about cheating again this wkend, but at the same time. I'm not training for a show date YET so I have a bit more flexibility with time limits. When we first started my diet though, my first cheat meal wasn't until 7 weeks!!!!! Then I didn't get another one till 4 weeks after THAT! OMG. Insane. I dunno how I did that. I think when you're heavier you can go longer between cheat meals? Mentally, one per week is good. If the scale keeps going down about a pound per week, I feel good about it.

HA HA HA HA ! About the bear.

Oh and yeh, I know. Sometimes I'll nail it and I'm like YAY ! But sometimes I'm just lazy, its 6am, I just woke up, and I'm like 'take the fricking picture' LOL ! ! !

I agree with Steph..you are quite 'infectious'...:D The kinda positivity and bubblyness (yea i make words up but you get my drift :D) that just spreads...!

HEY HEY HEEEEEEEEY Shankuan!!!!! Thanks for peaking in!

I will try to spread my OCD'NESS AND INFECTIOUS ATTITUDE ALL OVER THE WOMENS SECTION!!! SOON WE WILL ALL BE WEARING HOT PINK AND HIGH FIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice on the DC training. I never did that style before, but have heard a lot of good things about it. Did you like it? What made you change away from it? The band definitely has helped with the blood flow. I didn't realize how much of an impact it had until I started to incorporate it into everyday training. Now I have it will me all the time!

So today I tanned in a spaceship. . .

http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/9757/tanningbed.jpg (http://img155.imageshack.us/i/tanningbed.jpg/)

All the normal beds at my place were taken so I upgraded to the 'Queen of Tanning Beds'. . was only an extra 6bucks so gave it a shot and OMIGOD.

This bed a was GLORIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1) You lay in a 'mold' that is shaped to your body so all your parts get a perfect tan and you have NO tanning lines

2) The bed closes ALL the way around

3) The bulbs are actually a few inches off of the bottom so they aren't like directly burning into your skin like the normal beds

4) THERE IS AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was actually COLD in there as opposed to the normal sweating my boobs off.

5) The bed is about 4.5 feet wide so you can REALLY spread out

I mean this bed was freaking great. I don't like stand ups because I get bored. So this is my new best friend! So if ya'll have a chance, I would totally recommend trying it out!

I'm getting there!

http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/9926/tankinda.jpg (http://img153.imageshack.us/i/tankinda.jpg/)

Other than that, life has been prettt-tay sweet lately. Just counting down the days till I leave for NYC!!!!!!!!

Veeery nice tanning bed!!!! I bet it was worth it!!!!!

I had a little butt dent for a short time last November after quite a LOT of bike riding.

Then cold weather came....AND home office type projects that nevertheless had to get done (inactive)...and unfortunately then there was a bike thief early this spring. It was a crime of opportunity - it was unlocked on my car rack. Basically he got him a ghetto bike LOL. I'll replace the bike (it was a fairly-nice-but-OLD 1994 Kona) if I find a job here.

OHHH HA HA! Nice. Well I'm kinda excited bc I'm FINALLY starting to see the skin on my butt/back of my legs get tight! ! ! Its not a HYUGE change, but enough that I notice it. I haven't had a smooth cellulite free bottom for as long as I can remember, and now its FINALLY starting to smooth out, so that for me is a WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy WEDNESDAY guys and gals!!! I am SO exhausted today for some reason! I haven't been sleeping right? I dunno...

Current weight: 150.6 ---back down to 'normal' so I'm happy for that. I was worried about going into this 'off weekend' and coming back a whale. LOL. I mean, I might be a fish with all the drinking I'm sure we'll be doing. . . HA

We have chest & shoulders today and I'm training with a girlfriend I met at another local gym around here. I'm really excited to train with her bc she has some seriously GREAT energy !! I might have her video tape a few things, so we'll see!

I will post up my training later on.

Great!!!!! Keep doing what you're doing!!!

THANKS PARTS! I appreciate that. Its funny sometimes we don't realize we're still on the right path. LOL

ha ha ha ha !!! I totally lip sing/air sing to my ipod when I tan, and make like funny faces. HA HA! I'm like yeh a camera would be hilarious. I bet they could make a tv show out of what people actually do in the tanning bed. LOL

On second thought...I don't wanna know! HA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeh I just got that tat, to match the other one on my wrist. I'm thinking about getting something else done on the inside of my forearm but not sure yet. I guess it really is true, once you get one.....LOL I have a kinda professional job though and I don't really wanna be that 'tattoo girl' so I try to keep them all in like 'hidden' places. So they aren't like IN YOUR FACE tats. I dunno what I'll get next, but I know it'll be something in the next few months, I'm getting antsy. HA HA HA

bwhahah about that brownie story girl ! ! !HA HA! Yeh I've just had it for SO LONG that I'm not phased by it because its just been a part of me for so long and I thought I'd never have a nice tight smooth butt, but now that I'm losing weight and starting to see my skin tighten up around my toosh, Its like 'oh wow this can actually be a reality??' so now I'm more aware and focus hard on my leg work outs. I get frustrated on days when I'm tired and can't put up as much weight as I feel I should be pushing, or if my energy isn't there one day... but I always feel better for actually going and pushing through than not going at all. That's what separates us from everyone else who says "I'm too busy" or "I'm too tired" to go to the gym.

That is a CRAZY looking tanning bed. I'd be afraid that I'd get sucked into it and wouldn't be able to get out!!! haha... after seeing that scene in Final Destination 3 where the girls get killed in the tanning beds, I've had a whole 'nother perspective about them. It hasn't stopped me from going, but it makes me think everytime I'm laying in that big glowing box. What a shitty way to die!! :hypno:

Moving onto happy thoughts though... yayyy for back to 150! Woohoo!! :excited: When do you leave for your big weekend?? We better see lots of pix when you get back!

WHAT UP CHICKYS!!!!

Phew what a crazy wkend! I got back late Monday and have been going crazy the past few days trying to get 'back' to reality! LOL.

It was a fun trip....lotttttts of drinking, and lots of eatting. I actually had a lot of fun just relaxing and being 'normal' but my body didn't like that so much. I gained like 7lbs of weight, then got back on the diet Tuesday and now am back down to 150, just crazy how you can gain 7lbs of water weight just by eatting and drinking for a few days.

ANYWAYS, back on the road again. I kind of like that I am not in any pressured rush to get to my goal weight. I mean, its definetly the faster the better, but I don't have a set date picked out. This way I don't have any kind of 'count down' or feel any pressure with the diet or like I've been dieting forever. These 'breaks' that I get to just kinda be normal help...especially since I've been dieting since Jan and I'll probably be dieting for a very long lonnnnnnnng time.

Although this wkend was more like a vacation, I think that once I get to my goal / maintenance weight, I'll be able to be slightly normal, maybe get to drink or go out to dinner once a week. I dunno. Not really even thinking about that right now.

Just staying in the game for the next 5 weeks on the way to Jr. Nationals for Shelby's comp!

Here is my workout today:

30x1x7
35x1x5
35x1x3

Followed up with 35 mins on the bike, then walked about 2.5miles home. Totally exhausted after the work out.

Makes me ponder: How many cups of coffee do you have per day till you say 'ya know what fuck it I'm just not going to be alert or wake up today'......? LOL

Heres a few pics of the wkend. It was a Kentucky Derby theme and I made my own hat, kinda cute?

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the hat (and the dress). You looked smokin! and posh :) very cool.

How did you enjoy the rest of your time in NYC? The drinking and eating were in order....and our bodies need shock like that every now and then (I believe) :))

THANKS Cara!

It was fun. Yeh I mean I didn't gorge on food really. I mean I ate like crap, but not like a lot of it...I remember just ordering appetizers and picking on food. Nothing like a big sit down.....so funny how fast you can gain weight from drinking alone! I DRANK a lot though. I think once I'm in maintenance mode, I'll still be "dieting" more or less....I want to put a lot more muscle on my upper body!

I think I'm starting to like NYC.....lol

Hey everyone! JUST wanted to say g'night! I just got home from Kickball and it was AWESOME!!! I'm no 'athlete' but I did have a good time and definitely making a lot of new friends that are my age which is AMAZING!

Today was an off day so just did 60mins of cardio (40am and 20pm). Other than that I generally feel like total garbage, so the keto must be back into full swing. LOL

Ok, its starting to get hard. . .

Current Weight: 149.8

Shelby says thats good.

I say wtf I want more loss because I feel like shit. LOL.

I am super light headed all day long and feels like I'm in a fog. Now, its just weird, because I'm still pretty fat, but I think since this is the 'leanest' my body has EVER been, its like 'OK feed me what the hell'...So just gotta buckle through it and keep my head down and DO THIS SHIT. I know its working. I know it is!!!

Every night I go to bed and I'm like 'I hope I weigh less tomorrow' then I wake up and weigh myself and if I'm not 'happy' with it....I'm mad I have to wait through yet ANOTHER DAY to see a number I'm happier with.

Granted the 4.5 days of vacation didn't help. But that was scheduled and needed and I'm already back to my lowest in 4days of being back. I'm just picky I guess. I know I'll be moving down more....just anxious.

I wasn't going to do another cheat meal till I got down to 144, but my kickball team is having a HUGE 'mid-season' party and since I joined it to MAKE FRIENDS, I figured I should go and enjoy myself. =) So thats next week. I can probably drop at least 3lbs by then I hope? I'd feel better about having a few beverages then, LOL.

Stop getting on the scale. I was 8 weeks into my precontest diet...down at least 2 pant sizes (and missing two boobs that were barely there to begin with LOL) and my scale had moved like 1 pound.

Remember you're building muscle--it weighs more, it pulls water in and holds it after training--blah blah blah. You don't need me to tell you what everyone tells you, Im sure. However, regardless of what the scale says...if your hot lean body looks the part then weigh 200 lbs for all you care. Most people cant believe I weigh what I do..totally not sure why they ask but they always guestimate me at 10lbs less for some reason.

I bitch and moan about it too but it's not what matters.

And girlfriend--if this wasn't hard--you totally wouldve dropped it already!!!! The lightheadedness is from the Keto-though Im sure you know--I was always told that if you stay lightheaded for too long than it may be an indication that your body is catabolic and you need to increase something (for me it's usually my fat intake)>>Joey and I always joke that I need more walnuts in my diet and then I will be a "real" bodybuilder..because we're always getting this advice to up our fats. Believe it or not--it totally worked for me this season>

I got leaner, quicker, and maintained my strength (for the most part). On low carb-low fat-high protein, my strength and endurance dropped significantly.

Cara,

Yeh I hear you. We always say don't worry about the numbers, but at this far out (still have like 30lbs to go) I like to keep a close eye on whats going on, and numbers still matter at this point. LOL I hear ya though!

I don't think I'm building ANY kind of muscle right now, ha ha! I'm hardly eating enough and my strength has totally faded. But thats nice to think about! HA HA!

Its weird, as I keep losing weight. You'd think I'm just be OVER JOYED!!! But...now I'm at the point where I can really 'SEE' things and THE LACK of things. So now I'm like, I want bigger shoulders, my back isn't thick enough...stuff like that.....Its funny. I guess we truly are NEVER happy with ourselves?

I was originally thinking about competing in the spring next year, but the more I lean out. I think I might reconsider that and push it back. I want to get down to at least 125, and then start slowlllllllly reintroducing more calories so I can put on some good muscle. I've realized I'm in NO hurry to get to the stage. Not because I don't want to do it, bc I do really. But that if I'm going to do it. I want to be at my absolute best. I don't want to get up there half naked thinking "I have small shoulders" or anything like that. I want to be able to get up there and actually be competitive. So, kinda weird new development on that.

On another 'sigh' note.....I have NO IDEA why, but I have been totally misreading the dose on my clen / t3 for like the past 3 years that I've been using it on and off......I guess I had always thought it was 100mcg/ml, but yesterday I realized ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shit its 200mcg/ml and I'd basically been doubling all my stuff. Which could also be the reason for the huge rebounds when I 'stop dieting/supplementing' abruptly in the past. So we're taking everything back down to 'normal' levels for a while (which basically means cut what I've been taking IN HALF!!!) and let my body adjust. This sucks, but I'm more pissed that I never realized it! HA! I am the DUMBEST Biochemist ever.....sigh.........

So I cut back today and it seems like I'm a lot less light headed and tired, so we'll see how the rest of the day goes!

I'm off to hit arms and some more cardio! yahoo!

ChristyLaurenPoole

Yay for small victories!

So, good news is, I haven't felt light headed all day. I also realized that lately I've been upping my water intake more than diet soda, so that could have something to do with it as well.

So since I had more 'clarity' mentally, I had a lot more energy for my workout and feel pretty good about it!

Oh yah, about the 'victories' ha ha ....

So I make Shelbs his cheat goodies every week, and normally Sunday is my cheat day as well, but this week I am pushing it to Thursday so I can go out and drink with my kickball peeps. So I made him the standard Cocanut Macaroons, and ooeey gooey YUM TASTIC BANANA BREAD!!! My moms 'secret' recipe. It was SO HARD not to just wanna taste the fuck out of everything. I knew this before hand, so I popped in a piece of gum and went at it! Not tasting a thing. I'm happier for that. I dunno, proud of myself. Stupid, but just small shit like that makes ya feel more 'in control' then out.

Today we hit arms which is a super quick one.

Hey girl... glad you had a great weekend! Check you out looking all sexy and classy with your pretty hat and dress. You're totally rockin' it!

A couple days off the diet didn't do damage at all... you're back below the 150s and kicking butt! I give you so much credit for working so hard, despite not having a specific goal in mind. I know how tough dieting can be and most people cheat alot more than they should... but you're totally on point and sticking with your training/diet/cardio/scheduled cheats. You should feel totally proud rockkkkstar!

How's your sister? When is her wedding?? Do you have a dress yet?

When I was prepping for my augmentation, I was completely boob obsessed!!! It shows you're doing your research though! ;) Yes, I brought lots of pix... I wasn't taking any chances. For all that money, I wanted to make sure I was getting what I wanted!

Aww thanks girl! I loved that hat, but I'm sad bc I honestly can't think of a time/place that I'd wear it again...

Yup, already at my 'lowest to date' a full week later so I feel pretty good, but now that 'the end number' is 'in site' I am feeling so anxious like I'm ready to be hot already! HA!

But about the being strict with out a goal in mind. I honestly think that is what has held me back in the past. I would pick a TOTALLY unrealistic show date. Diet/Train like a whack job for a month, lose 3 lbs and say 'omg im not going to make it' BAIL and 'quit' and then do it again.

YO YO Should have been my knick name! HA! But now, since I DON'T have a date in mind, there is A LOT less pressure. Not to mention having a very SMART and SUPPORTIVE coach, has changed my perspective on many things. I don't stress or worry or over analyze, and I take it a day at a time. Its just been a true blessing working with Shelby.

My sister is good, and I got a dress. I'm not sure whats going on with the wedding though to be honest. I kinda reached a breaking point with her while I was there for her party, I don't even WANT to be in her wedding at this point truth be told.

Oh man am I EVER doing my research. I have a file on my computer named 'Boob Job' with like a shit ton of pics of hot breast.....ha, sigh.

I want to pay cash for mine too, so I figured I better start researching now so I'll have like plenty of time to figure out exactly what I want. Saving up at least 10k for the deal...

All around a freaking GREAT workout, and I totally could have quit after I started to massively cramp, but I didn't, I WHOA-manned up and just changed up my workout a bit to finish it. I am going to be feeling this one!

Why thank you gf! I know, stresses of life sometimes are hard for us to get through, who have always resorted to food as a way to 'cope'. I've learned a new way to cope though, it took a lot of time and work, but now when I'm stressed, I go out and play with my dog. Works like a charm every time! I haven't had an unplanned cheat ONCE and I've been dieting since Jan! Lifes gonna suck no matter what, and there is never going to be a 'perfect time' to diet or wait till things 'quiet down'....its just never going to happen. Theres always gonna be something going on, an event coming up, or a stressful situation. Theres no perfect time to change your life, you just gotta accept that, say fuck it, and go at it! ;)

HMMMMMM I was off my boob obsession until I attended this past weekend's show and now Im all up on the boob wagon today. I know I am 4 weeks out when I'm in COMPLETE 14-year-old boy mode. I reassure everyone that I have the breasts that jesus intended for me to have settled upon my biceps. Like wtf? Things always end up in the wrong places on my bod LOLOL

And so for next year it's either I get boobs or we get street bikes. Im still on the fence. But I find myself obsessing about breasts everywhere we go..perv? you have no idea! I mean I totally don't even need them THAT big..just small melons..http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/9421/10signsthatyourboobssho.jpg

Leg workout looks killer--I love shocking my legs with giant, multiple sets of burnouts....love when I stand up straight after the last set and my knees buckle. I miss the soreness that new heavy exercises bring.

Keep up the good work chick. Maybe I will live vicariously through your new boobs hurry up and find a doc!

Hey, who needs a reason to wear something fun? Have you seen some of the stuff I wear?? :p

You're already hot, but I know what you mean about seeing that end number in sight... you're close and you're getting there, so that's definitely an accomplishment and something to be happy about!

It sounds like you are on a much better path for success now with diet, training and most importantly, perspective. Our own minds control so much, so I can definitely see how you could become frustrated with progress in the past. I had a habit of letting that get to me too, but pairing up with a knowledgeable and supportive coach was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I couldn't have done this without Tam... and no doubt, that's exactly what Shelby is doing with you. It's so nice to let go of analyzing all the little stuff and letting the coach worry about it. :)

Ohhhh noooo. Hopefully no bridezilla stuff?! Sorry to hear that she's stressing you out...

Haha, I did the same thing when I was researching boobs. It really does become obsessive. I like Lisa's idea... that's so cool! I wish I had tried that! I did the "rice test" and liked what I saw, so that helped me select my size and really stress to my doctor what I wanted. Good plan to start saving now... I got mine paid off within a year so I didn't have to pay interest on the loan I took. Man, was that a happy day when that bill was paid off! lol

TUESDAY BOOBSDAY!?

I wish.............ha ha ha!

Current Weight: 147:excited: (I just needed an excuse to use that smiley again, its my favorite! he he)

My legs are SORE as hell today! Walking on the treadmill for my AM cardio actually felt nice! Today is going to be crazy. I have a report to write up and I'm training a new client today at the gym. I've been offering my 'help' to anyone to just get some practice in, and I like to help people achieve their goals. I have a couple now I'm working with, and I'm just soooo excited for them. I just hope they stick with it when it starts to get tough. I've written up a pretty basic diet, and they aren't competitors, just people looking to lose about 30-50lbs...So "training" them will be interesting....

So..................ALSO I just realized that we leave for Junior Nationals in 4 WEEKS! Damn, this time has just flown RIGHT BY. I'm really excited for Shelby to compete and to meet up with all my new friends!!! But at the same time, I'm actually kind of sad. As some of you know already, Shelby and I broke up a couple of weeks ago. He has family in Detroit, and he moved out to Cali to be with me, but I could just tell he really wanted to stay in Detroit. So I thought it would just be unfair to make him stay here and I'm not going to leave Cali....so, we decided to just stay 'together' for the rest of his prep and then he's going to move back to Detroit the week we get back from Jrs.

I'm really sad, but happy for him of course. Its just that he's been SUCH a huge part of my life change, that its going to be weird to not have him literally in my life day in and out. He'll still be doing my prep till like THE END OF TIME, but I dunno, I'm just gonna miss my buddy.

TIME FOR Q & A:

HMMMMMM I was off my boob obsession until .....

OMG that pic is AWESOME! I love it! Especially bc I want to go BIG, but I want to be sure I don't go TOO BIG. HA HA! That pic is going to keep me in check! I don't think I'll be getting them till the end of the year or early next year, so I have time. I want to wait till I'm at like a 'maintenance weight' so I know what I'll really look like with them. I don't want to get them at stage weight bc thats obviously not what I'm going to look like all the time. I just want to be able to have that sexy bombshell hourglass look again!

OHHH Streetbikes.......I miss. I keep saying I'm going to get a bike again soon, but then something always comes up! I have literally a LIST of things I'm saving for, and thats on it! ha ha!

Thanks for the compliments on the leg workout girl! I am definitely feeling it today thats for sure!

True true true.
My stress relief is my little cockatiel! Even when Im in the worst of moods he can make me smile. Its be nice to have a pet that you can go run around with, like your pup, who is super cute by the way

Thanks girl! ;)

Niiiccce leg WO, girl! Love it!

Thank you! I learned from the best ;)

What up CHick! Yeh I WILL probably be using you to bounce some photoshoot ideas off of you! ha ha ha! You have some WICKED outfits! lol

I would say 75% Bridezilla and 25% of how she just is. I think I'll just grit my teeth through the wedding and smile like a good girl and that will be it for me, I dunno. sigh..............

Thanks for the compliments, but I seriously don't think I'm hot! ha ha ha! I'm luke warm! LOL ! ! !!

Oh girl you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about! The bathroom trips are the TRUE testament of how hard you did legs!!! I already hurt starting yesterday so today is just unreal. I like it though. I like to hurt, kinda reassures me that I did good!!!

The bread was AWESOME! I made it so it was a little crusty on the outside, but nice and gooey and moist on the inside. Perfect combo! I'm excited to eat my piece of it on Thursday!

Fav way to eat egg whites...hmm....I go on kicks, but lately I've just been doing the scramble deal. I can't handle the pre-pasteurized egg whites, to me they taste to 'rubbery' so I have to crack my eggs everyday, but its worth it. I get kinda crazy with the 'sauces' though. Mustard and Salsa Verde is my new obsession!

So I just added a *new* addition to my shakes and all I can say is

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE!?!?"

Its Peanut Butter Flavor Powder!!!!!

Its basically 0cals so I add about a teaspoon to my shake, blend and BOOM INSTANT AWESOMENESS....

I'm kind of a Chocolate-Peanut Butter Nut!! (and "kind of" is a SERIOUS UNDERSTATEMENT!!!!!!)

So combined with 1.5 Scoops Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup protein powder, 1 Teaspoon Chocamine, and 1 Teaspoon of the new Peanut Butter Flavor Powder.....I'm seriously in heaven!!!!!!

Forgot to ask yesterday, but umm... can you PLEASE post that banana bread recipe? Holy, that bread looks so yummy! I'm bad with baked goods like that. I love to make it, but always have to pre-portion it out and then distribute to friends/colleagues so it doesn't sit around the apartment calling out to me! lol

I wish.............ha ha ha!

Current Weight: 147:excited: (I just needed an excuse to use that smiley again, its my favorite! he he)

Yayyyyy!!! Scale just keeps on moving down, down, down... yeah, baby!!

:jump:

I hear that, woman... my legs are freakin' killing me too. First time in a while and MAN did I miss that feeling... talk about true LOVE!! <3 I do the elliptical when I'm feeling this much soreness. It's easier for me to feel like I'm actually having a productive cardio session than if I do the stepmill. Stepmill + sore legs = veryyyy slow moving.

Awesome about all the people you're training. Isn't that the best feeling to know that you're helping to inspire someone and have a positive influence in their life?

Yeahhh, Jr Nats will be here before we know it... can't freakin' wait!!! Do you have a room to stay in yet? I am so sorry about your breakup... :( I've never had an amicable breakup where I stayed friends with the person afterwards. I've had civil breakups where it just wasn't serious enough to be upset over, but I'm sure it does suck to realize you're missing your good friend but you have an incredible attitude about it all. I don't even know what else to say to offer comfort, except that we are all here for ya...

And umm... you are seriously hot, are you freakin' kidding me? Get some self confidence asap or I'm gonna have to kick your butt! (Okay, you know I won't be kicking your butt, so seriously do the other thing, k? LOL)

Ohhhhhhhhhmygod! That PB stuff looks soooooo yummy! Great, now I have to try this when my diet permits. I love/hate finding new things to get excited about. Sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes, it's a curse because of how obsessed I become once I find something I really love.

I bought a few of those flavor packs too. Chocolate Coconut is my Favorite!! I'm only having it about 1x per week now though since I'm trying to stay away from the artifical sweeteners so I've just been having the plain Whey..hmm..I wonder if I can make a shake with coconut water and a sccop of SF Hersey's Powder. Now that sounds like a plan!!:p

UPDATE:
I had a revelation yesterday and so I've decided that, while I'm waiting to save up $$$ for my boobs, I'm going to take that time to engineer them and biomedical design them such that they will be compartments........ya know so I can hold like practicable stuff in them, such as midgets and dog treats.

You are too friggin funny..you might as well design them with a lipgloss option as well.

And yeah-uh ditto on what steph said there somewhere above ....because--you'd think I would be grading papers instead of reading the journal novel---cant resist---you are totally totally hot and whatever with the f'n scale it aint got nothin ya!

Where oh where did you get the pb flavored protein? And why oh why am I so obsessed? I think we all are? Is it filtered into the forums?? eat peanut butter...eat peanut butter...you love it....you love it....LOL. I think I could spread it behind my neck and get tingles all day ...bahahaha

BTW it looks to me like you have boobs--just not particularly the ones you want. I have NONE zero zilch nada. Actually Im lying I have small flapjacks when I stand up straight arms down> When I pick them up over my head--voila! theyre gone. Like wtf? I wish my ass fat would do the same trick.

Keep up the great work it looks good on ya. My legs are ridiculous lately too ..I hit up the stepmill anytime someone is not on it. Monday I did a leg work out full of giant sets and Ive been paying for it since. This morning level 6 on stepmill felt OK-but I prob looked like an old goon going that slow.

HUMF!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yesterday was so great, but today I'm just a total grump!

Like this little guy...

http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/1297/grumpybearbycapsi.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/90/grumpybearbycapsi.jpg/)

I think its part the diet, and part that this is the longest I've pushed out a cheat meal?? I dunno.

Current Weight: 147 no change but I'll take it

Training my client yesterday was AWESOME! I'm so proud of her! She really kicked some serious butt, and the best part was...she's not really into lift weights, like AT ALL. She's never had a weight lifting plan and she said she used to call the free weight area the 'BOY AREA'. HA! Poor thing! So I just laughed it said, well today its the GIRL AREA!!! But what really impressed me was that for never having trained with weights before, once I gave her the direction, she has PERFECT FORM!!! I've trained a few other girls, and you try to tell them and SHOW them how to correct there form to no avail, but this girl just GOT IT!!!! I also put her on a diet that shes going to try out for a while and see. I really have high hopes for her! Plus, she's talking to these other girls that want to train and get a diet and I'm all down for it bc its just more practice for me!

I'm going to hit up Chest and Shoulders at SOME point today I hope....but with work, and I'm meeting up with a friend around 4, then not feeling so hot. I don't know if I wanna push it. I don't typically have 'full days off' from training/cardio...and sometimes I can just tell when I need a break.

Plus on top of ALL that, the lightheaded ness has returned...I have no idea what its from, but I'm going to the vitamin store today to pick up a bunch of new goodies....

PHEWWWWWWWW! OK DONE TALKING ABOUT ME!

Q&A:

Forgot to ask yesterday, but umm...

And umm... you are seriously hot, are you freakin' kidding me? Get some self confidence asap or I'm gonna have to kick your butt! (Okay, you know I won't be kicking your butt, so seriously do the other thing, k? LOL)

OK remind me to post up the recipe! I'm going to doctor it up for the next batch. Thinking of adding chocolate chips and pineapple juice...we'll see...I haven't tasted this one yet!

I haven't done the elliptical in a coons age! I think I'll have to try that one for my next cardio beat. I keep just doing the seated bike, or the treadmill. We did stair mill intervals yesterday, and that was a nice change....

I know only 4 more weeks till we leave! We get in late Wednesday. We are staying at the host hotel and got our room booked! So I'm sure we'll be meeting up since you're staying there too!

Yeh I mean, I'm more sad about losing my buddy. There are no arguments or anything like that. In fact we never argued when we were dating. He is just the sweetest most generous person I know. Its so easy to be friends with him. I think its just because we both know in the long run we're different, so nothing really "lost" to get upset about.

I really appreciate you saying that ya'll are hear for me. I seriously am impressed everyday by the power that we have for one another on here. I always feel just so much more focused, uplifting, and awesome about myself when I read my journal and all of your journals first thing in the morning. I am happy I finally came out and put it all out there.

I think the lack of self confidence is just a 'fat girl' thing. I had been over weight pretty much my entire life so to speak, so I always had that little insecurity. I'm WAYYYYYYYYYYYY more self confident now and have a lot more security in myself. MORE than ever to be honest, but I guess I'm just trying to remain humble because I don't want to be one of those girls that all of a sudden gets hot and lets her ego and compliments go to her head.....I do need to learn to accept a compliment now.....haha

The PB flavor pack is seriously the best new discovered goodie! I'm going to order more with my next protein order for sure!!

Does coconut water have any calories in it? I always thought it was like sugar water? No????!!!!

You are too friggin funny..you might as well design them with a lipgloss option as well.

HA HA HA WHATS FUNNY, is that I haven't even worn make up in like 3 weeks (aside for getting dolled up for the bach party) I think its bc we don't really go anywhere other than the gym at this point, but I just haven't had the energy to go through the process.....which is funny bc I used to be SUCH a make up whore!!!!

I got the flavor pack at TrueProtein.com its just a 'flavor pack' not the protein, so its basically like 0 cals/0carbs.

http://www.trueprotein.com/Product_Details.aspx?cid=25&pid=6777

Yeh, I mean I do have 'boobs' but they are SOOOO much smaller than what I'm used to carrying around, ya know? And I want to have perkier boobs...doesn't everyone? LOL. I just honestly like the look of huge fake boobs. I'm not one for the natural look. hahaha

Giant Sets and Legs do NOT go over well with me, You're a fucking bulldog girl!

1. Here's your reminder... post up the recipe. Pretty please!! :D

2. I prefer the stepmill over everything, but when my legs are mad sore, it's just easier to rock out a sweat on the elliptical.

3. Yeahhhh, I'm at the host also. I haven't booked my travel yet, but I'm planning to get there on Thursday. Since I know you're already gonna be there, maybe I'll try to catch an earlier flight so I can get there sooner and get the party started. Yeahhhh boy!!

4. That's really mature... how long were you guys together for? I think the gracefulness with which you are handling your breakup is quite amazing. It's hard to lose someone you love to distance, but the fact that you can separate your feelings for the person versus the feelings for the situation and treat it with such respect is pretty sweet. What's it like to be in a relationship without arguing?! lol... maybe I'll find out one of these days! ;)

5. Girl, we got your back! My Rx friends have been so amazing the last two years and I just keep meeting more and more awesome people (like yourself!) and it really feels like a little family. You guys know what's going on in my life more than some of my real friends. In a way it's kinda sad, but in another way, it's really therapeutic and special. Word... <3

6. First of all, you're def a hottie (no homo haha) so no worries about THAT! And you're far from an ego-monster, so again... nothing to worry about there! I hear you and can completely relate. People are always so shocked to find out that I'm very insecure and lack self confidence, but it's true... one day I'll call you and we can have a bitch session about all the things that fucked us up in the head haha. I'm just now learning how to love myself despite the things I've been told (not good enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, not <insert many other miscellaneous adjectives here> enough, etc) and have self respect. I think that's what is helping give me the strength to get through my current situation... everything in life is an experience, good or bad... no regrets! I do believe everything happens for a reason, so I'm on the hunt for happiness in all it's many forms and believe that whatever is meant to be shall be... you're a strong chica and it sounds like you've traveled far, and will continue to do so. True rockstar status right there girlie!

7. Gotta check that PB thing out now... thanks for the tip!! Did I mention I'm dying for REAL pb??! Haha... 3 more days!!!!

FEW OK, I am like moving a mile a minute this morning! INSANE!!!!!

1) So I tried some of my banana bread with my coffee this AM and OMIGOD. Yes, I'm happy! LOL

Here is the Recipe:

Susan Poole's Coveted Banana Bread Recipe

1/2 Cup Butter
1 Cup Sugar
2 Whole Eggs
1 Cup Chopped Walnuts
4 Mashed Bananas (let them get REALLLLY ripe) (the more bananas the more 'moist' the bread will be so adjust accordingly)
2 Cups Flour
1 Tsp Baking Soda

1) Cream Butter and Sugar
2) Add: eggs, nuts, bananas, flour, baking soda to the mix
3) Pour into a greased bread pan
4) Bake at 325F for 50mins, check frequently. If it looks like the bread is darking too quickly, lower the heat, and let the bread cook slowly....I did an extra 15-20mins at 300 so the outter edge was a nice crust, and the inside was nice and moist.

ENJOY, and be sure to post a pic when you make it! =)

2) You should totallly come in earlier! I mean we'll get in late on Wednesday and have to go to the store and get settled in, but this way we can hang Thursday instead of YOU flying all day gf!

3) We've been together since December. Honestly, its been my first relationship EVER that I haven't argued with the person, and now I don't think I would EVER go back to that type of volatile relationship again....exciting as it may have been. Being in a relationship that you don't argue is just SO MUCH easier, and you get to enjoy things in life to a much better degree. I just think that happens naturally when you have two very logical centered people. AND WE WILLLLLLLLLL Find you one girlfriend!!!! I'm a GREAT wing woman! ;):p

4) Oh I definitely think my RXpeeps know more about me than my 'real friends' to a certain degree. There are just things I can't talk about with my 'normal' friends. Which is why I'm now a journal lover....who would of thought! I used to think bloggin was so lame, but now I'm like addicted to you guys! HAHAHAH

5) Honestly, I think the majority of bodybuilders come from a background of insecurity to some extent. We deff need to have that bitch session, I'm scheduling time in for you NOW at Jr. Nationals!!!! The key to loving yourself is getting ride of people who DON'T love you. Its amazing, when you clean your "house" of negative people, you will find that there REALLY are some amazing genuine good people out there that you couldn't 'see' before bc the negative people were taking up too much space in your mind. Once you get rid of those negative people, like 'magic' you won't have any more negativity to put you down and you'll be far more able to see yourself in your most beautiful natural light, as opposed to the 'darkness' that negative people subliminally force over you.

I too find a great deal more support amongst my RXpeeps...I find myself blogging instead of doing anything else that needs to be done. Im an addict. I need blog-anon. Or a pill or smokable--Im much better at them for rehab purposes LOL

I cant understand why people arent more supportive of one another. During Arnold's days they trained together and pushed eachother--like afamily...there are too many haters filtered through this culture.

On a side note---
abs and back are totally  worthy! Check out your progress my friend--you better totally dump that fat girl mentality you go around wiht lol.

You have an excellent v-shape which is something that many competitors struggle for their entire career to gain--(while some never do actually get it....)

Happy Friday Everyone!

I definitely had a great time last night and got the chance to meet and mingle with a ton of new people which was the best! I had a pretty excessive cheat and paid for it with weighing in at 150.6 ha, damn.

Attached are a few pics of me and my outfit! LOL ! ! It was PINK PROM Theme....

But, thanks to that cheat though, I also had an amazing back work out today and managed to even get some heavy lifting in (heavy for me at least!)

Great improvements in 5 months time and 50 pounds off. :ok: :beerbang:

Thanks Buddy!! Only 30 more to go!

Dang, girl! You lost some POUNDS! Proud of ya, and you oughtta be proud, too!

Thanks Sunny, I lifted heavy today JUST for you!

Hey, Just checking in your journal. First off, congrats on your awesome accomplishments so far. I loved glancing at your recipes and food pics!

WELCOME Noelle! I'll try to keep updating my food pics, I've been slacking lately on healthy recipe ideas, but lately I've just been eating a lot of the same, ha!

OMG that recipe isn't healthy... why did I think it was a healthy one??! haha... I don't think I'll be making it now... I was thinking of a healthy/protein banana bread recipe to enjoy on a cheat day. I think I have one on my old computer... I'll have to dig it up!

And look at that back! Damnnnn, girl... incredibly awesomely amazing progress since December/January! You GOTTA be proud of yourself for that... rockkkstar!

And being at this show is getting me so amped for Jr Nats... Can't wait! :hmn:

Big big change!!!!!!!! Very good!!!!!

HA HA HA YEH GIRL IT WAS A CHEAT MEAL, OF COURSE ITS NOT HEALTHY! BWAHAHAH!!!! Actually though, you can easily make it health(ier)....Sub white flour for almond flour or whole wheat oat flour. Use splenda baking sugar, instead of the real sugar.....less bananas and add in banana flavored protein powder and banana extract etc...

I guess when I get a cheat meal, I'd rather just have the 'real deal'.

HA HA You're so funny, thats the second or (4th) time someone has called me a rock star the past few days. Last night my friend dubbed me "RockStar Barbie" HA HA HA! I'm down with that for now. HA HA!

I too find a great deal more support amongst my RXpeeps...I find myself blogging instead of doing anything else that needs to be done. Im an addict. I need blog-anon. Or a pill or smokable--Im much better at them for rehab purposes LOL

Thanks Cara, yep I've been pretty lucky to have a relatively small waist thank god, but I unfortunately carry it ALL in my butt/hips. I mean I feel like two totally different people upper vs lower body. But since Shelby has helped me to take the weight off a lot more slowly, I'm more even than when I yo-yo'ed in the past.

I too don't understand why people aren't more supportive of one another anymore. Especially find this with girls. Are we (women) all so secretly insecure that we can't give props to another female with out feeling threatend? Dunno:dunno:

Well I have been quite the slacktastic lately! BOO ME!

Current Weight: 149

I had that cheat 'day' on Thursday and I'm still paying the price. Earlier in the dieting process I was able to have a cheat day. And only gain minimal water/weight, but now I think I will have to go back to only having a 1 hour Cheat Meal. This is what Shelby originally intended for me, but I'm bad. My cheat 'day' consisted of going to the kickball party and drank a lot of beer, THEN came home and had a 'cheat meal'. So from now on, I am not going to drink for a cheat meal, and I'm going to limit it to only 1 hour. No big deal.

The funny thing is, this really all is a learning experience. I'm not too stressed out about the weight gain, because I know I can get it back down. I like to figure this stuff out now anyways, before I'm 'really dieting hard' and have this kind of 'revelation'.......NOT like its any news that obviously a cheat day will fuck you up more than a 1HR Cheat Meal, but........yeh.........anyways. Lesson learned...........moving on.............

We had Shelby's Seminar on Saturday down in San Francisco and it was really a great turn out ! I got to meet a lot of new faces and also IFBB Pro Daryl Gee...Who was super nice and easy to talk to!

I also got to hang with Sassy69 (my friend Jill) and I think she's going to be hiring Shelby which is pretty exciting!!!! She is always such a pleasure to be around and I'm really glad she came out! :hugme:

Oh and I also got to meet an AWESOME chicky named Brittany, she is working her way to compete in Figure and I'm really excited for her! She has a great frame, and I pointed her to this site, I hope she gets a lot out of it!

We're hitting Legs today, so I'll post up that work out later on when I get home.

Hope everyone has a great day!

So it other news......

A question I keep getting asked A LOT more frequently these days is: "So, when is your show?" And ya know in one way I'm kinda flattered bc I know that I am no where even CLOSE to doing a show yet, but in another way it kind of bothers me, because it seems with most people around here, you have to be 'aiming' for a show or something.

What ever happened to people just getting in shape?????:hypno::dunno:

HAPPY TUESDAY PEEPS! ! !

Today is a cardio only day, so that means doing a lot of other random BS today. Since "Coach Shelby" will be moving back to DETROIT in like 3 weeks I am working on packing up all his stuff. AND doing a major good will dump! I love getting ride of useless crap..ha ha it just feels like a clean slate! ...Its going to be nice to have it all my way again.....No offense COACH! ;)

It will be weird to not have someone here to train me 24/7 like Shelby did though....but I'm ready for that challenge!!!

Sweet leg WO, Christy! Thanks for adding in some extras in my honor. ;)

Not too much longer and I hope to be hitting PRs again on MY leg days!

Girl it was a tough one, but I didn't push it THAT hard bc last workout I cramped up pretty bad so I was trying to avoid that this time.....YOU'RE SO CLOSE TO YOUR SHOW!!!! AHHHH SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!:hmn:

OH yeh I love having a big badonk, but I just wish it would tighten up faster....but patients is key to this game. I know. My legs are definitely getting smaller in all the right areas, but I'm just waiting for it to 'tone' as much as I hate that word, which basically means lost more fat. HA!

Training and Dieting is a virus.....I keep telling my girls, once they start to see that scale drop, they'll be addicted...LOL

And you TOTALLY got this... you're gonna kick this challenge's ASS and then some! Plus Shelby will still be "around" to lean on for support, and you've got all of us... and your kickball peeps and all your new seminar friends. Psshhh... with encouragement like that, you can't go wrong! ;)

Happy HalfWay Day peeps!!!!

Current Weight: 149

Hmm. I'm really struggleing to get back down to my lowest of 146.6......I hate lessons learned the hard way, especially when you know better. HA! Just keeping my nose to it....

Made a HUGE order to Trueprotein.com ....I'm seriously addicted to that place.
Here is my 'shopping spree list':
All protein I use is their Premium Whey Protein Isolate Cold Filtration:
3lbs Premium Dutch Chocolate Fudge
3lbs of Creamy Peanut Butter
2lbs of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
ALONG WITH 0 CALORIE FLAVOR PACKS FOR COFFEE AND MISC:
Creamy Peanut Butter
French Vanilla Cream
Double Chocolate Mint.....now.........if ONLY they made a 'DARK CHOCOLATE' I'd BE SET! ;O)

I think Dark Chocolate should be outlawed in some places because its just SINFUL. . .

Just to refresh ya'll. I'm doing 60mins of steadystate low intensity cardio per day, Keto (no carbs), 2 Shake meals per day, and a total of 5 meals per day.

Sometimes when I don't see a lot of progress like I feel like I should, I cut back on 'extras' like packets of truvia, sugar free jellos, mustards and crap like that. Even though its all supposed to be 0 calorie....I know there are trace carbs/cals and also can effect my water weight, so thats another thing I can play around with....seems so trivial but I know if effects stuff with me.

Doing Chest & Shoulders tonight, so will post that up later.

Then going out to dinner with my kickball peeps! Seriously this journal, and signing up for that was the best thing I've ever done!

YA FOR Q & A

Made my FIRST KALE CHIPS TODAY

Thanks to Steph for the last min text for the recipe! LOL

Was a great post work out snack!

Laid on the pan, heated oven up to 400, sprayed with Pam spray, Seasoned with Sea Salt and Sesame Seeds!

YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

I used too much salt this time so next time I'm only going to salt as needed.

BUT WOW, great new snack!

NOW, my next experiment is to add BACON SALT!!

Sassy...I see WP in your future!!!!!!!

Let me tell you about a weird change of approach - After training hard & heavy w/ the goal of harder & heavier for 30 years... I gotta scale back and do "circuits"? OMG. I'm going to turn into my worst nightmare: Cardio bunny cum crossfit freak. ... (Not that there's anything wrong w/ either ... just completely 180 degrees from everything I ever went into the gym for).

Interestingly when I compete its more about "seeing if I can do it" vs moving up the competitive ladder. I never had an urge to "get big" - it was like "can I do a 315 DL" or "can I kick up a 90 lb DB press" Now it will be "can I drop to a weight I haven't seen since 6th grade?"

But the goal alone makes the motivation!

Hmm........a whole year you signed up for, eh? I guess that means you and I will be doing a show together next year! ;) If I ever get the guts!!!!!!! BWHAHA

I opted for the year because in this case, I think the starting goal is competition, but the end goal is a massive body transformation that I want to keep going forward. I'm closer to 50 than 40 this year and I want to look like I'm closer to 30 than 40. So... big goals here!

YOU WILL GET ON STAGE! Pay attention at Jr Nats. Watch how the girls pose, watch how they do the category itself, watch what wins - and pay attention to the attitude on stage.

Then talk to the competitors - ask how they feel on stage, are they nervous, how do they overcome that. And don't get too technical or analytical on that - FEEL it. You can't help but feel it at a big show like that so absorb it and keep that in mind when you get to the part about YOu onstage. On the one hand, if you know "how" to do the show - i.e. what is expected and how they will sequence through the show, so you don't feel like you're stumbling blind thru the show. That takes a lot of 'fear' out of the process.

The second part is still-- you have to get on stage and deal w/ standing in front of a bunch of people in a bikini while everyone stares. THAT"S where you have to let go of the fear, get out fo your head, FLASH THAT SMILE OF YOURS, and just let it all hang out. What's the worst that happens? You look fucking amazing! Beyond that, nothing else matters. People LOVE when competitors are enjoying it on stage. You just gotta work it - pretend you're the hottest thing at the opening of a new night club. Strut your shit!

Anyway... just wanted to tell you to pay attention to those sorts of things at Jr Nats and remember the "Feel" and excitement at a show. And use that when you start thinking about getting on stage yourself. Like RuPaul baby - You gotta work it gurrrrrrrrrrl!

Im totally in if it's weed or kale lmao LOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEE Kale chips. Though-I think i overdo them. WHole heads of kale are prob not eaten with good intentions in my house.

I cant imagine you feel big. You're totally gorgeous and look curvy in all the right places. I fight that curvy bitch that lives in me all the f'n time. She wants fat booty and her b cup back and my other bitch, she-hulk, prefers abs and veins. WTF? If I can only get them to agree by post-contest time...I will be in super shape.

Who cares if you ever compete--at least you will look like you do wooooorrrrrddddd

AND SASSY--way to go on a change of training. I wish I were closer to some of you. At least I can hit up some bikini training with Steph this summer :))

KICK BALL THURSDAY! YA HOO!

Current Weight: 148.4

I asked THE COACH what I should do if my weight still doesn't go down, and he said 'stick to the path and continue as is' . . . so trudge along I go......hopefully something will push. :)

I had a pretty great Chest and Shoulder workout and even managed to increase a few of my lifes, which is pretty nice. I learned that if I start off my sets with just below what my max was the week before......Then I'm more prone to lift heavier. Instead of exhausting my body with 2-3 warm up sets.

Let me tell you about a weird change of approach - After training hard & heavy w/ the goal of harder & heavier for 30 years... I gotta scale back and do "circuits"? OMG. I know. Thanks girl. I guess its just that I'm so insecure of my body sometimes, and believe me I've seen my fair share of girls get up there that I personally felt weren't READY to be there. And my biggest fear is that I don't want to be 'that girl'....I would rather blend right in, than stand out in some negative way. Maybe by the time I've reached the level of lean ness and tight ness that I'm shooting for....I'll have a bit more confidence by then?

Gurl...for a long time i wanted to bb but never thought i had the kind of body for it. The only way i would know is to try, so what did i do..i signed up to enter my 1st show in a totally different country!! Where i have no friends, and 1 sister. I had never gone to an INBf show let alone know what they were looking for, or how i would stack up against the competition. I just went in having busted my ass, and many told me b4 i left home (Jamaica) i was too soft or not lean enough or whatever other garbage it almost made me wantto quit! But you know my desire to KNOW what it felt like and what i would NEED to do to get 'there', outweighed my nervousness and self-doubt. And whathappened, I won my 1st show - Novice!

By the time you're physically where you want to be for the stage, I think your mindset will be right there with it :) Things always manage to fall into place when show time comes around.

^^ True words! i had no one to look up to in this regard (locally) nor any examples to follow, leastof all shows of that caliber to attend. Where i thought i wanted to be was totally blown out of the water after my 1st show...i walked away wanting SOOO MUCH MORE!!! looking back I was NO WHERE as physically ready as I am now (relatively speaking) but my mind was like fuck yes i'm ready to swim, let me in the frickin pool!!! And each time, the doubts surface, the mind-fuck goes on a rampage but things always fall into place by show time. I agree with Jill, soak up as much info and 'feel' as you possibly can at thi show. Knowledge is power and it will certainly help shape how you go about getting 'ready' for the stage!

TGIF for real! I am starting to really LOVE back day!

Current Weight: 147.8

Starting to go down, even if in .2lb increments is fine with me. I laughed this morning bc this is the differance between 1) Trying to do it on your own versus 2) Hiring a badass coach with years of experience and knowledge

My 'normal'/in the past way to deal with this:

OMG I'M NOT LOSING WEIGHT FROM MY CHEAT MEAL LAST WEEK, I THINK I WILL DROP OUT MEAL 5 AND INCREASE CARDIO BY AN EXTRA 45 MINUTES AND DROP SALT AND UP THE STIMS.............AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coach:

No prob, just stick to the path and keep things as is.

Once again I am confirmed that Shelby is by far the best thing that has happened to me, mind body and soul.

Today is nothing really exciting....tomorrow I'm going out to pick up the last few pieces of stuff from Lululemon and Sephora for the shoot. Have the stuff picked out motivates me to keep pushing, 'seeing it' ....I know I'm not going to be 'rock hard 8%' body fat or anything, but I'm going to be ok, and the pics are just for us anyways so who gives a shit.

I featured in a 'pose down' in the target dressing room. It was an honor really....lol.......Anyways, I've always found that the mirrors in there have the best angles and lighting....too bad I'm shaking as hell and the focus is ......awesome.

Anyways gonna wear the green shorts, but also got them in blue and black, and gonna pick up a hot pink or blue or white sexy sports bra from lululemon.

OH yeh and also is a recipe I read in oxygen. I'm on keto now, but this looks like a cool meal idea for those that aren't......

LOL @ Bridging the Gap!

By the time you're physically where you want to be for the stage, I think your mindset will be right there with it :) Things always manage to fall into place when show time comes around.

I know. I've already gained a huge amount of confidence from where I started. And once I'm actually 'used' to my body by that time (aka I want to maintain it forever) then I won't be as self conscious on stage!?

You are a bad buff girl and a very strong minded woman. I really admire your courage and strength with all that negativity. Once I'm holding steady at my goal for a few months, then I'll pick a show. I have to try it at least ONCE. ha ha.........maybe.............haha

THAT (the hot pink one) is the bra I was talking about on FB that adds 2 cup sizes! LOL!!!! I never had to use one in the past....so when I put it on, I was like I could also use this bra as a life preserver in event of a plane crash over water. Its HUGE, alllllllllllllllllllllllll padding! LOL SMOKE AND MIRRORS SMOKE AND MIRRORS! ;)

WHAT great workout! I was in a rush, but still managed to slam it! I am getting a lot stronger, when I push myself, having the training journal has REALLY helped me keep my weights in sight, so when I'm there I'm like ok this is what I have to 'beat'......good thing I started logging it again. Totally helps.

On a NEW note...........I DISCOVERED A NEW SNACK! =)

Inspired by the Kale Chips...I began to wonder what ELSE I could do this way........so this afternoon I tried green beans!!! and YES! I might like them even more than the Kale Chips....all I know is that my 'pop corn craving' has been resolved!

This is what I did:
Bought FRESH raw green beans
Pre-Heat Oven to 400F
Lined a baking pan with Foil
Cut the ends off the green beans
Lay out evenly on the pan
Spray with Pam
Season with Onion Powder and Sesame Seeds (add salt after to taste)
Baked for about 10mins

Cook to your liking, but I did them so they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. You might have to lower the temp and cook slower to get that type of consistency?

ANYWAYS, they are AWESOME! And a nice snack between meals!

Next, I have a question:

Clear Hooker Heels for gym photoshoot or sneaks? I always see girls wearing the heels but I just think it looks stupid in a 'gym' type setting....just curious why you guys think?

Bring both. Better to have a choice than not. Hooker heels let you turn any background into a hot model shoot! and any sweaty gym outfit into high fashion.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY EVERYONE!

THANK YOU TO OUR TROOPS FOR OUR PERSONAL FREEDOM!!!!!

Current Weight: 147.6

I should note that yesterday I was at my LOWEST of 145.6

Then I made Shelby his treats and decided to have some of the banana bread so thats why my weight it up today. Expect it to be down in a few days.

Been just killing it in the gym as far as lifting goes. But have been to lazy to post up my work outs recently.

I'm at the point now where, I have about enough energy to go to the gym and thats about it!!! Then I just kind of meander through the day...somehow.

I went to lululemon to find a cute (read: sexy!!!!) out fit for the photoshoot and honestly I was pretty disappointed. Yeh they have quality stuff....for conservative yoga hippie types. Nothing there was really my style. But I did end up buying their SCUBA hoodie and OMMMMMMMG! It is AWESOME!

Winning Points:

Hood is super deep to fit over the forehead even if have a pony tail
Very THICK so not some cheap piece of fabric
The collar on the hood is really high so even covers your chin and neck
Has sleeves with the thumb holes to keep your hands warm!

The only thing 'bad' is that it was $98 and I want to go back and get another one in a different color.....lol

Still no luck on a hot sports bra, but thinking I'll make something I have work, and there are always vendors at the show? I like bodybybrazil.com and might order off there ? Any one order from them before??

Also I haven't posted any meal pics recently so here you go!

Meal 4:
10 Egg Whites w paprika
Baked Kale with Onions............yes!

HOLY MOLY! Look how slim you have gotten! You never looked big at all to me--but your abs and obliques and all look super sexy. Way to rock it chick!

Green beans have become my fave this year--each year brings a new love LOL..last year it was grilled broccoli. Green beans make me smell much better. I feel like brocc comes out my skin WORD

BTW-hooker heels all the way. I went to a few bbqs over the weekend and Ive come to the conclusion that hooker heels make every BODY (no matter the shape size or color) look like a hot piece of ass. I actually came home with someone's shoes! LOL--and I didnt have to offer any favors--LOL

And you dont need any help at all but shoes make the package :)

I have been a very very bad girl and not updating! grr!

I apologize guys! I just started a new project and lots of stuff to read and get through, and still trying to get my 'working routine' back. I just discovered there is a brand new In-Shape across the street though, so I'll be excited to try out 'lunch time workouts' in the next couple of months.

Current Weight: 146.8

Even though the scale isn't rapidly going down, its funny how I can 'see' more things now. Maybe its that they were always there and I just never noticed them? Like I have veins all up my forearms now when I train (looks very flat the rest of the day) and I can now see my bicep twitch (that area from the elbow to bicep) like if I lift up a drink, you can see my bicep. I dunno thought that was kinda cute! LOL

Attached are a few pics for you guys!

My yummy Green Beans Snack!
My 'Work Lunch'
What I had to stare at while waiting to meet up with a business lunch. . . argh!

Things are going to be SO CHAOTIC the next 2 weeks. Goodwilling everything, packing up Shelby's stuff into boxes. Stuff everywhere, training, dogs, work, then traveling. Just a whole lot going on. But it'll go by super fast so I have to make the most of it!

Q AND A:

OH YES, He is a Shiba Inu!!! I am in love with him. He is my son. You had one?! OMG POST UP HIS PICTURE!!! They are the greatest companions. Perfect size too !

Its funny, I still don't feel tiny.....and I'm at the point now, where even my 'too tight skinny jeans' are HYUGE on me....just never going to sink in I think. LOL

Keto is great. Yeh at first its hard, but now I think its the best, no weird up and downs through out the day. You always know exactly how you're going to feel everyday.

HAPPY SATURDAY PEOPLE! WHOOO-HOO! :hmn:

OFFICIALLY 2 FULL WEEKS TILL WE ARE ALL IN CHICAGO FOR JR.NATIONALS!

Current Weight: 145.2

Ok, here we are AGAIN at my lowest weight...again...but this time no screwing up...this time I want to beat this 145 plateau...fingers crossed for no invisible carbs... ha ha

WANNA GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO SUNNYDAY AT HER SHOW TODAY ! ! YEH BABY!

Shelby said I could have a 'small' cheat meal next Sunday, so thats good news. I'm kinda worried about it being so close to the shoot, last thing I want is to be at 145 AGAIN and then bounce up to 150....ugh! I just need to get past 145! grrrrrrrrrrr!

Today I'm taking totally off and recovering. I have a chiropractor appt, a massage, maybe a manicure, finishing up packing up boxes for Shelby's move...then out to see HangOver 2 with my kickball peeps! All in all a super relaxing day just being normal. That is my 'cheat' meal, its not food, but its just a mental break...and sometimes THAT is JUST as good.

never done kale...but that looks awesome! and so are you!

THANKS TAMMY! =) You're so sweet! I hope we get to meet soon! I'm going to take pics with everyone I can at Jrs and make sure I post them up in here for everyone! The Kale is my new love. I'm going to try blending it into my eggs tonight and making like a scramble? We'll see....living on the edge! HA!
