Travis set the Guinness Record for the Atlas Stones in Milan Italy yesterday, 5 stones 120kg, 140kg, 150kg, 160kg, 170kg. In a time of 15.08 seconds! He fumbled the last 3 stones and said there is deffinately room for improvement on that time.

He is the only person to take a Guinness Record away from Big Z so far!

arild haugen is the king of stones, no offense travis but arild throws heavier stones up like pennies when he did strongman.

that said travis is fantastic to watch.

did arild have health problems or something to transition to boxing or something, he was also fantastic to watch.

Arild left strongman for personal reasons, nothing to do with health(atleast not that was publisized). He is very good at Atlas stones but never proved himself as the best stone loader out there, other than one really fast run at one of his WSM appearances. There are few guys that have the accomplishments to even challange Travis for the title "King of Stones" and they have been great loaders for many years...... Arild is not one of them.

Your missing my point. I know Arild is a good stone loader, but that doesnt mean he deserves the title. If Michael Jordan only played a few years in the NBA would he still be the greatest of all time, no way. He earned the title by being one of the best for 10 years straight.

even mike tyson, he wasnt at the top for a long duration but was clearly in the short space of time phenominal. in football/soccer marco van basten he was clearly legendary world class but retired due to a injury when he was supposed to be coming into his prime.

also good at stones is mark felix & we all know what he's like on the stones.

I know travis is your buddy and fellow american youv'e shown your support to him, that's your opinion, it isnt mine.

How many times did Arild beat Big Z and Travis on stone events? He would have to have beat everyone most of the time, in order to be considered the best. Also, how many records has Arild set with it comes to stone loading?

He is a good strongman, but to say he is the best stone loader is not accurate.

Travis has worked hard and deserves the title. I have watched strongman for a long time. Travis is currently the best and one of the best for all time.

Travis has held 15+ stone records to date, in just about every way you can load stones. Untill some one comes even close to that it isn't worth discussing!
