So what is the Australian competiton season? For instance, here in the states it's roughly April to Dec.

Pretty much the same. I think they try and tie in the timing of state comps with the national comps and the international comps so it works out best for compeditors.

So once I get there comp season will be over?

more or less. I think last year some of the IFBB comps ran in late November, December. But nothing is listed for IFBB at the state level yet.

I was hoping we could attend at least one show together. Maybe I'll have to move up my trip. ;)

Not this year mate. we only have the pro show once a year.

Some of the pro's might be guest posers at state and national shows during the year but not that I'm aware of this year.

I find the advertising bad here too. all the shows I've been too in the last couple of years I've found out about on the net not through the gym. I train at 3 different gyms and visited a forth last week and so far I've not seen so much as an A4 poster about next months NABBA WA show. I'm not even affiliated with the show or have anything to do with it and I'm going to print out a few posters at work and put them up at the gyms in my area next month.

And the so called IFBB Australian web page has no info. It's just a big advertisement for the gym and the shows promoted by the person concerned and a mention of the pro show. Not really good enough.

I have to admit natty comps seem to promote their shows alot better from my personal experience..

I have been to multiple gyms and around sydney in the past few weeks (just to break up my training from gym to gym) and i spot the same poster for the same comps.
