View Full Version : Drop Set-do you use them & do they work for you?

I have heard over the years. Good things about superset. I have decide to give them a try. I was looking to see what types of drop sets plans and results you have gotten.

Here the drop sets plan I am planning to use. What you all think of it? Keep as is, change it, makes some small changes to it, any other tips, would be more than welcome!


Drop Sets:


Only do a drop set on your final set of a specific move

Load up the bar/machine or whatever you intend to use, so that you can only move the weight for 3-5 reps: A spotter is good to have.

You will push out 3-5 reps and immidiately drop the weight so that you can only get 4-8 reps on that set.

Drop the weight again to a weight where you can get in 3-8 reps.

The idea is to push the targeted muscle to pure failure with each set of drops. Do not stop until you can push no more weight.

Love Drop Sets....I also incorporate the REST PAUSE Technique with them at time. A great way to finish off a muscle!!

I don't have them scheduled into my workout (nothing is), but I use them pretty often.
