Hi guys.. are there any oven trays with heat resistant handles on the market where you don't need to use a glove or towel to bring the tray out of the oven?? Does this technology exist?

I say invest the $1 in a used towel at a yard sale

old t-shirts.....but i found when i worked in a restaurant i guess from touching heat so much u burn off the sensors in the finger tips, it does allow you to handle alittle more heat from things coming out of the oven

$1 for a used towel? I'd give them 10 cents the the whole pile for 25 cents. You need to work on your yard sale negociating skills!

not about the money of the towels... what if you had to put a tray in and out every couple minutes?? (like in restaurants) doesn't it make it easer just not looking for the towel every time?

i'm guessing the oven is in the kitchen, hang the towel from the handle of the refrigerator and you'll never have to search

Sure, until you try that with a regular pot or pan. lol

Seriously, don't believe that tech exists:

Q. Can cookware with non-metallic handles be placed in an oven?
A. Some cookware handles are made of thermoplastic materials (which include phenolic and bakelite materials), that conduct heat poorly and therefore stay cool on top of the range. Depending on the type of material, the handle may be oven safe. Check manufacturer's literature to see what is a safe temperature for your handles inside the oven. Remember, the handles will be hot when they come out of the oven!
