After eating tilapia in Las Vegas (fish in the dessert are obviously not a good combo) I can't really "stomach" the thought of eating fish..unless it's sushi and SUPER fresh.

I like tilapia, it doesn't have the same texture like other fish does.. so I can convince myself it's chicken lol. And of course who doesn't like Salmon?

I live in the Northeast... I was told at the grocery store that Orange roughy is endangered so most places don't carry it.
I found it at Sams club though... I eat it everyday.

Im tired of salmon! I was eating it way too much of it. Right now Im still eating tuna cooked and salmon in sushi but I dont want to cook another piece of salmon for a while. I live in cali ( dirty beaches) so any of my other fish has to be farm raised.

tuna, drained and pan fried in pam (or olive/mac nut oil) with lemon pepper ms. dash and seasoned salt. If I am feeling ambitious I will mix it up with an egg white and make "tuna cakes"

costco frozen orange roughy rocks again lemon pepper and seasoned salt.......bake 400' for 10 min.

Little side note I learned about Orange Roughy - Whole Foods won't stock it because it is on the Threatened Species list (as of 9/11/06).

So I went to Safeway instead.

Here in long island could not find it at any local grocery store cause of that.

I had to get a membership to sam's club out east - they stock it frozen for $7 something /lb. i make a trip there every few weeks

Some fish stores, mostly little Asian markets, have live Tilapia in fish tanks. If you want it fresh, it's hard to beat this.

The situation is really too bad with Orange Roughy... I dont think people should have started eating them in the first place given their reproductive rate and habitat constraints. As far as us bodybuilders, it sucks because this fish tastes great, and is pretty lean. Eating tilapia is like putting shit gas in your car IMO. quality in=quality out
