Knight makes a good point for bodybuilders. The major league sports are such hypocrites ! One of the most documented sports enhancers........caffeine !!! Why is it legal, but ephedra was banned ? What about using sports creams like Icy Hot ? They help bring blood flow to muscles.

i like the "let's not get too philosophical" line. by all means, let's avoid any careful examination of the terrible analysis you gave of the situation. look, some things are cheating, and there's no getting around that. but they aren't cheating because of any intrinsic quality of the thing in question. they're cheating because the people making the rules said so. it's the same reason double dribbling is against the rules. there's nothing inherently bad about double dribbling. the people who made the rules just decided that that was against the rules, so you can't do it. simple as that. but if your reason for making something against the rules is because you claim that it "enhances performance," then you open yourself up to all sorts of legitimate criticism. and if you want to argue that gatorade is qualitatively different from some other combination of chemicals, then you better be read to put on your philosophy hat, because that's a philosophical argument.

You gotta LOVE the guy. What makes me laugh is how this generation of athletes is getting scrutinized because of the use of Anabolics, when in the earlier days guys like Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle and other players of that time period were out drinking and whoring all night, would have to play a double header; which there were a lot more back then, How did they accompolish that???? SPEED!!! Which was RAMPANT in the locker rooms. So they should be held just as accountable as guys like Tejeda and Rodriquez!!! Without the SPEED which IMO is an performance enhancing drug they would not be able to perform!!!!
