inj. lasix timing

whats the difference in timing between injecting lasix IV and IM pre contest? For example, it seems to work within 20-30mins for me IM. I know it works fast via IV so with that said, theoretically how long before prejuding would be adequate to inj. lasix IV without causing a "water rebound" effect on stage?
