well for those of you that dont know, i have decided to do NA. with the recomendation coming from george and rock. i am lucky enough to have 3 of my very good pals doing it as well, so it will a fun time.

19 weeks out now. I am doing a mass program now and think i will start diet at 14-16 wk mark, depending on what george says. im trying to bring up my delts and sweep. not alot, since i dont have mch wiggle room, but a little goes a long way on a shrimp like me. work outs are good, im sore and feel strong and it seems to be working.

so here we go.........shoulders today, post up w/o later. ta!:wavey:

I'm the same way with chest... sometimes I throw in a few sets and sometimes I don't. I was told that I *should* though, at least to give balance to the rest of my physique. After my show, I need to change up my routine so maybe I'll make more of a commitment to stick those exercises.

Wow, I'm amazed how you get everything done so early. I'm a night person... I have much more energy towards the end of the day.

Do you find it hard to train a bodypart you're not really concerned about improving? Do you keep your enthusiasm?

actually its kind of nice. i pound the piss out of myself with everything else, its nice to go easy. my hubby hates it..he does competitive bench, and seeing me breeze through a chest w/o makes him nuts since he knows what i can bench. oh well....different sports ...different training methods.:p

right now im eating clean just more food in the way of fats and carbs. lots of red meat, omega eggs, PB:D. when i diet, its low fat, high protein, carbs pre and PWO.

That was how I always prepped and last time I tried keto (just posted in the diet support thread) couldn't stick with it - especially the PB. Do you have a refeed day during prep?

I wish we had nice weather here today... it's still damp and cloudy from yesterday's rain. It's supposed to get up into the 70s this weekend though, which I'm looking forward to.

I prefer to WO alone. Having a spot is nice but i don't like my routine messed up. I don't rest for set amt of time just go when ready and i don't do same WOs i like to change things up often. That doens't really work well training with someone else

I like to have a WO partner once in a while, but only if they're serious about lifting... I have one friend at work who's into it and we worked out twice in the last month and that worked out really well. Aside from that though, I like to rock out to the music in my ears and do my own thing at my own pace.

went to our favorite place last night, the Lake Placid pub n brewery. had nachos, a bbq burger w/ fries and turtle cheesecake. needless to say, i m NOT doing my planned weigh in today...i am bllloaaattteeeeddd!:eek:

george has not got me my diet yet..hes competing at the pitts pro this weekend. i should have it by the 1st of the week, but i am starting today, ditching all my dairy(:() ...i miss my cottage cheese and greek yogurt already. no more PB, fruit...the norm. cooked up some buffalo, steak and chicken this morning so i am ready to go.

No PB that is a bummer!!! lol I still get it for 2 days and then lose it for 2 days so it is workable. but i am sure that will change.

I am envious of that cheat meal and girlfriend you did it up RIGHT!!! I am going to a place tomorrow night after training that is like BD Mongolian Bbq. It is a place you pick up your veggies, meat etc and take it to the chef and he cooks it up for you then they give you brown or steamed rice, or wraps!!!! I can't wait!! yummy

well i did progess pics for george yesterday, and he said i dont need to start my official diet til the 12 week mark. i was physched to hear that, but i was in the MODE at the same time. i am always ready early and he wants to avoid me getting to stringy. so i has some peanut butter when i got home last night! :) mmmmmmmmmmm

You were saying that you like being your size. I also like being a small girl. Don't think I would look right as a LHW either. LOL! Good luck with your prep.

A girl at the Indiana show this past weekend was very reminiscent of you...not as conditioned but I think she will be doing Juniors Nats as a lightweight so make sure to check her out. No idea what her name is but you will know the one :)

fish has entered the diet. now i do like fish....but i know its to take over as my primary protien source as time goes on...but i did get some pollock, and used colettes fish recipe...kicks ass! if you dont have it....

soy sauce, balsamic vin, sweet paprika (i couldnt find sweet, used reg), dijon mustard, splenda. put under broiler....delish!

Do you have chicken in your diet too, Tam?? I would have a really difficult time eating mainly fish so many weeks out... Also, how often do you cook the fish? That's one thing I have to eat within 2-3 days of cooking because it doesn't seem to hold up as well as chicken does over the course of the week (I mainly do my cooking on Sundays!)

Also, I notice that tilapia is awful and rubbery when microwaved, so I've been eating it cold... do you have that problem with re-heating white fish also? I loved Colette's video... I've never had orange roughy... really want to try it, that looked so good!

i have 3 meals of chicken right now. 1 red meat n EW, 1 fish, 1 pp n EW. so its ok...i like a little variety. i dont find that when i reheat fish. i usually do a lb at a time (when its only 1 meal) for fish..chciken since i eat 12 oz daily, i cook a ton..to last me 2 or 2 1/2 days. i feel like im always cooking...which reminds me, i gotta cook some chicken!

Isn't that the show Stacey Keller just did? How did she look? Pics I've seen look good but not professional so they weren't the sharpest. Is she gonna be ready for Masters Nats in three weeks?

I just joined this forum, post-Jr. Nationals--and I'm considering doing North American's in Aug. Tammy, I saw you are doing them; have you done this show before? I was told I came out too muscular/too hard at Jr's (which I don't quite agree with!) and wasn't sure if I should "soften" out for NA's. Everyone says the judging is different depending on the show--aka, some judges at specific shows are looking for a more muscular look. Any one have any input?:o

well im back from masters. had a fun time..worked species with joel on sat and had a blast and got hooked up with some great products. thier new gym bag is kick ass ! i havent tried alot of thier products so im excited to use them. it was great to hang with friends i dont see often...jen toth, chandra and george, adn lisa and tracy. motivating to be there 6 wks out form my own show.

i am so happy for tracy mason. she is a wonderful person and this win is a long time coming for her. and our girl lisa b looked amazing. i cant wai t to see how she does at usas this weekend.


saw george adn he was happy with me..everyone thought i was doing the usas so that was a good feeling thinking that i look ready when i still have 6 wks to go. was bummed..no cheat meal like i was hoping. cheesecake factory and a plain salad SUCKED!


home and tired...cuddling with my boys...i miss my doggies when im gone!

since my lovely town hosts the IRONMAN tri this weekend..i am on lock down due to the fact that the race goes down my road. so im home all day, and its nice:) hubby being on the PD has to work 6 am til midnight, so needless to say, he is not a happy camper today. i need to start praticing my routine. colette did it as always ..and this one is a bit detailed, so i gotta get on the horn. i did a great mix....poker face, going into dead and gone and ending with right round. really fun music!

3.5 weeks to go, leave 3 wks from today. weight is an even 120. im ready....which makes me super ansy since the challange to get there is gone! i was 118 last year beofre i dried out, but look much tighter this year at this weight. got my suit, celeste did it for me and its gorgeous....i got only a new PJ suit. its a watermelon coral pink, and she cut it super high since i have a long torso. 5 ft tall and a long torso...lol

weight is holding at 120. would like to be about 118 when i leave. i am always a freaking head case about making weight.

things are good....not crazy sick of fish this year due to the fact that i am eating diff kinds..tilpaia, cod, mahi mahi, flounder...they are all about the same cal and fat wise. just makes a nice change in flavors. my only bitch is a sleep like CRAP. iwake up 100 x night, either to pee or im hot or i just plain cant sleep.even taking solamyze doesnt work for more than a few hours.

I know I told you out there, but I just want to say here in your journal how awesome you looked out in Cleveland and how happy i was for you! Your win was every bit deserved. I know before finals you were a bit nervous because your "little", but I told you I've seen a light weight do it (siting Jen Cowan) and you had what it takes that day!! Congrats Tammy!
