I have heard Jericho. I have heard Austin. I have heard Flair.

I am going to say The Rock.

No matter who was on, I never, EVER stopped whatever I was doing to watch the person onscreen unless it was him. His stuff was a laugh a minute, and more than anyone else, he seemed to actually live the character in that moment, instead of just be the character. There was a genuine believability when he was on, unlike someone like Matt Hardy. He sounds like he is just reciting something he memorized.

I love The Rock.

And Dwayne Johnson.

That is all. :)

X 10. To this day, even the originator of the Rocking of The Mic; Ric Flair cannot touch what The Rock has done. For the only time ever, the words "the best there is, the best there ever was, the best there ever will be" is truly accurate.

I agree with you guys when you say The Rock is the king of promos. Always liked Jericho and Triple H does good work too but I always liked Raven's mic work. He always managed to be eloquent and was a good story teller.

Here's a few of him:

Mick Foley was (and still is) also amazing at cutting a promo so here's 1 showing Raven and Mick doing a promo together:

scott steiner has a lot of classics. sure he doesn't have the best speech. but, his sort of loose cannon shoot style is hilarious.

The Rock is the best of the last ten years but Flair pioneered the smacking back in the day. I know that wrestlers used to stop and watch flair because his shoots were unscripted and he was just allowed to go which is unbelievable. I also like some of the old Superstar Billy Graham mic work. He was the forerunner of great mic work.

" I lift barbell plates, I eat t-bone steaks, I'm sweeter than a German chocolate cake. I'm the reflection of perfection, the number one selection. I'm the woman's pet and the man's regret where what you see is what you get and what you don't see is better yet. I'm the man of hour, the man with power who's to sweet to be sour and believe when I tell you baby I am bad to the bone."

If that isn't top shelf stuff I don't know what is.

The Rock is the best. I dont think there will ever be anybody that can do what he did.

I agree. Edge and Jericho are the masters of the Mic.

John Cena screams too much and is predictable, monotoners like Orton and Kane bore me, tools like Cody Rhodes shouldn't speak at all with a homo lisp...
