View Full Version : 5/3/1 training frequency

So due to a softball injury (yeah bar league softball) i can't train squats or deadlifts for a few weeks. I'm just starting the 5/3/1 training. I've always done body building and have grown tired of it, looking for functional strength. Anyway, while waiting for this knee injury to clear up, it wouldn't be a problem to do a day of Bench and one of OH press 5/3/1 and then a more speed type day would it? Also, some ham work and lower back will prob be thrown in whereever possible. See any issues? Thanks.

You can modify but i would not do more than 2 upper body days using 531 protocol. then on a 3rd day do misc back and ham work.

Sounds good, thanks! I hate taking time off but I suppose it's better tokeep this minor then be stupid and be out for a long time. Stupid softball, fml.
