go for somthing wide and lether. the nylon ones just come undone when you are in the middle of a lift. go for a good buckle on one to atleast two prongs. they will pinch though so wear it backwords if you have that prob.

I didn't know they even made nylon powerlifting belts, and I don't think I would have a pinching problem when I'm wearing briefs, or a bench shirt

arn't the lever belts harder to adjust though?

they are easier to get on and off.
if your weight fluctuates alot then yes. have had mine for 5 years and this will be the first time adjusting it.

my weight does fluctuate, and i was thinking that I would probably have to adjust it depending on the equipment I would be wearing

IT depends on what you are using for. If you are benching or doing alot of Oly lifting you will want to go with a more narrow cut belt. IF you are squatting or pulling then a wider cut is good. I like the lever belts because they are easy to come on/off and they are easy to adjust. Inzer and elite fitness systems sale them.

if the weight goes up and down frequently then its not worth it.

double prong buckle. check what thickness belt is allowed in the fed you will compete in.

Guys there nothing wrong with having more than one belt. One for squatting/deadlifting and for benching ( hold the bench press shirt down)

I bought an Inzer lever belt 11 yrs ago and it's definitely the best belt I've ever used.

I bought mine from bb.com. In the store under accessories. 19.95 is hard to beat and it's the powerlifting type and it's 4 years old and still good.

Got mine from EFS. It is a single prong. 13mm. Amazing piece of equipment

Well I just ordered a APT 10mm thick, 4 inch wide, double prong belt. I think I'll buy a thicker one a little later down the road once my weights go up, and I have all my other equipment

I have an APT 10mm 4" single prong that I have been using for about 6 months. Well worth the $50!

I've had my APT belt for about 3 weeks or so now, and I'm really liking it. So if anyone else is looking for a belt, I'm liking my APT 10mm thick, 4 inch wide, double prong belt, it's still new so I don't know about how it's going to last down the road, but so far it's doing me good

My buddy has had his APT belt (sounds like the same style as yours) for many years. Still no issues.
Your post reminds me, though. I need to make an APT order soon. Broke my straps last week. I really gotta stop buying generic gear.

I did a fair bit of research and ended up ordering inzers 10mm forever lever.
apt, bobsbelts, elitefts, titan all make great belts but I decided that the convenience of the lever was extremely appealing for getting in and out of the belt.

My second choice over the lever belt was a single prong. getting in and out of the double prong can be a pain in the ass without help.

I chose 10mm over 13mm as I'm a 400 pound squatter rather than and 800 pound squatter. I have read a few story's of bruised ribs and difficulty breaking the 13mm belts in (they are a bit too much belt for my use - imho).
