i went to Paul Dillets WBFF show here in vancouver
on saturday, 2 of my girls competed here
i went with an open mind
during prejudging, the last break, i was sittin behind the judges, and i knew one of them,
i said to him "I haven't seen any female bodybuilders yet, are they coming out next?"
he said "they don't want their kind here"
seriously at that moment my mind snapped shut !!!!
at 5' 2 1/2" tall i'm weighing 160 lbs and i'm pretty lean
i'm thinkin.... he's talkin' bout my kind !! grrrrrrr !!!!!!!
and interestingly enough...
a girl that i know who's competed in bodybuilding for quite a few years competed in figure short, and she's super thick and came in the same way she comes in for bb and they picked her as the winner of that class !!!!!!
very confusing
so at wbff what i figured was...
figure = bodybuilding (or sometimes, sort of ???)
fitness diva model search = figure
and bikini diva model search = bikini
but for God's sake don't call it female bodybuilding !!!
the highlight of the whole freakin show was
Nicole Ball was there watching and my training partner, her finace and myself got to meet and talk to her after we left the night show... that was awesome as we are big fans of hers :bowdown:
and we talked about the state of womens bb
it was nice to talk to her about this
