Im 20 now, so far ive lost over a hundred pounds, (Last 40 have been on the palumbo diet). And im hoping someday to do a bodybuilding show, but who knows... So here's some pics, o btw im entered into the muscletech 50k transformation challenge.

Sorry. Couldn't help myself. I actually said that out loud when I saw the pics. GREAT JOB, CODY!

My son's name is Cody and he's the same age. I can't wait to show him these pics. I wish he'd come to the gym with me.

Quick question...I know you had this deadline for the pics, but are you going to continue cutting to go from lean to ripped to shredded??

I'm actually debating on where to go from here... The contest that im entered into im done with, i won't know the results til this summer, but im debating on possibly entering the 100k hydroxcut transformation challenge that ends the end of june. But im really not sure where i should go from here. I know i can get more cut, but im also wanting to put on sum more muscle. Ne suggestions where i should go from here?

Get to shredded and stay as lean as possible for at least 6 months, preferably more.

If you go to gaining mass I would fear you'd gain quite a bit of fat along with it. You need to stay lean for a while (ideally a year or more) to get your body used to being lean as a set point. Then you can go to add mass.

Probably not the answer you wanted. But be patient....if you go too quickly into gaining mass and end up gaining a lot of fat back, you will end up very frustrated. Trust me on this. You could probably add some mass while keeping on low carbs during that time. No you won't gain 20 lbs but you could add a decent amount of LBM by just training hard, getting stronger, and eating at least 1.5g/lb bwt protein.

No thats response don't bother me at all. I really planned on going back on the Palumbo diet after my pics, maybe loosening the straints on my 3 hour a day cardio, but for the most part eating and training hard. I had a cheat weekend this weekend! lol. i haven't ate in hours and am still amazingly bloated, but tommarow starts me back on the diet hitting it hard, but maybe spending a saturday night or two with friends instead of on my stationary bike. lol.

I agree with frosty - get your body used to being leaner... it was used to being fat - and I think if you try to add mass it will associate that way. Keep it lean, keep your eats good, and you can probably add "some" muscle throughout the next year - definitely shape.

Cody you can always PM me if you have any questions or want some advice in more detail, or just post questions in here...whatever you prefer. I just don't want to see you make some mistakes that I've done when you go from fat to lean...

Aw thanks so much. And thanks for the advice a couple weeks out. Uping my cardio to 3 hours a day, seemed to really work.

LOL...oh gosh...I hate hearing that 3 hrs of cardio helps...but hey..you gotta do what you gotta do. Especially when you are on keto towards the final weeks. Many people I know get up to 3 hr towards the end.

Yeah i had read about people doing the 3 hours of cardio a day. But i kinda ignored it cuz im a full-time student and work a job at night. But when you said that 3 hours should be considered i knew i had to do it. I woke up knocked out and hour before class, then went to class, knocked out and hour after my workout, and then went to work and knocked out and hour after i got off work!! it was a very hectic time!!! But i knew it needed to be done!
