I am talking in terms of bodybuilding. What have u done for yourself that are are the most proud of? It could be a personal best or it could be fat loss or even how big your arm is.

For me it was getting to 290 pounds. Fuck I felt huge at that height. I am 6 '1. I also had some fat for sure but I felt swole lol. Another would be getting to the 19 inch arm mark.

I would probably say my last diet transformation I did.. I posted pics in the member forum pics, here is a link to the thread.. http://forums.rxmuscle.com/showthread.php?t=797

I went from 280 to 194 competing up to 211 in just over 6 months.. I did so naturally..

I'm a tiny human being (5'6") with bad genetics, but about a month ago I hit 170 pounds. I'd been trying to exceed that weight for about a year because it's the weight limit for my height in the Marine Corps. I was pretty happy.
Unfortunately, the week afterward I developed a MRSA-like infection thanks to some asshole sticking his bare foot in my ear and I lost 15 pounds and dropped 60 pounds on my squat and 40 pounds on my bench. Being little blows, and it made me seriously consider not being natural anymore.

Don't worry man,

brick walls are there not to stop you but to test how bad you want it and if you are willing to smash through that wall.

Smash it down bro.

I was pretty happy with getting 2nd in my class in my first show, as well as getting the Alberta rookie of the year award. Hopefully, I'll have even bigger accomplishments this year.

Recently being asked if I was a pro bodybuilder by someone who I recently met and had been a former Strongman competitor. I've always wanted my physique to have that look...and evidently I'm getting there.

going from 215 to 135... (mmm trying to get back in that range now.. )

first time I ever benched 100 (finally have gotten back there and exceeded it),

first time I squatted 175 (working on this again)

doing unassisted pullups

getting up on stage twice (5th first time, 2 seconds the 2nd time), third time will be this year (going for a 1st place !!!)

Going from 145 to 185 in less than two years naturally. Obviously, I'm probably one of the leaner (read: "skinnier") guys on here, but let me tell you I was a fucking stick figure not too long ago! lol I had never touched weights in my life up until 2006, so once I started reading some magazines and getting to the gym regularly, I was hooked and still am. New goal: get to 205 two years from now. I'm definitely a "hard gainer" but it's coming!

Squating 405lb!! For me that is huge! I also have gone from a fat 265lb with 155lb lean mass to 220lb with 195lb lean mass in two years. Thats 38% bodyfat to 12%. I am just a few more weeks away from seeing my abs for the first time ever!

Benching 405 for a double after banging out 11 with 315. That was the biggest BB goal I ever set for myself: 315 for 10 and 405 for 1. I slightly over produced just in case. I was walking on air for days after that!!

Due to a shoulder injury and poor form I have not benched in many years. I just started again. My second bench day was two days ago. I got 225 for 8 and DAY-UM I'm sore! I wonder how long it will take me to get back up to 315?

The first time I ever benched 225. I was smiling for days afterwards. Strangely, that not only ranks as one of my proudest bodybuilding accomlishments, but also just in my lifetime in general.

It's not important to me now, but at the time, it was about on par with graduating university.

The first time I benched 225 was a huge one for me. The other was finally getting nods of approval from the big guys in the gym when I was doing my thing and being considered big and strong enough to spot them when they were moving the earth.

Squatting 405 for 2. I had to become a fat bastard to do it but I didn't care. Did it 2 times after that and then never again.

Breaking 500 in the squat at 187lbs. Ass to the grass for 2 solid reps. I felt like I was sweating blood on that second rep but wouldnt let anyone come near me to spot. Figured the bars would catch me if I didnt get it.

Hiooo! :D

Going from 142 lbs at 15% bodyfat to 230 at 18%.... Then, going down to 190 at 6%. It took about 4 years to gain that bulk and then took about 3 years to "get the hang of" dieting- read as, finally try Dave's basic pre-contest guidelines! Now I'm working my way back up with an eye on keeping fat off. I think I'll get to my next goals quicker after having had so much trial and error these past several years. I've learned a lot.

Benching 225 for a triple :) the victory lap around the gym was even more fun !!! I dont think the men in the gym at the time appreciated a very arrogant victory dance by a woman smaller then them lol

I hope this doesn't come off the wrong way. But, I just wanted to relate an experience I had this afternoon in my little shop. It really put things in perspective for me in a way and I wanted to share it.

A guy came in that I had the unfortunate experience of meeting before at a buck-skinner rendezvous. (Old timey get together where people sell various old timey stuff...) He is a knife maker, which is cool, but every time I've seen him he goes on and on and on about all the things he knows. Where he trained etc etc. Waaay over the top. He seems to forget who I am each time he sees me and I have to stop him at some point and explain that I too have forged knives etc.

Well, today he comes into my shop and not only brags about his knives, but launches into all the books he's writing. And, I kid you not, tells me how he's picking up where Einstein left off... Sigh. I put up with it as much as I could and politely thanked him for stopping by. Thank God he left after 20 minutes...

A few minutes later a dude comes in who used to talk lifting with me. He looked like he's lost some weight, not been training etc. We talked for awhile. I showed him my weight equipment in the back of the shop, told him about a few places to get good deals on protein etc etc. We had a pleasant conversation.

After he left, the contrast in personalities hit me- the contrast between myself and "the knife maker." I felt good about myself because, though I had some information/experience to offer someone I was able to do it in a reasonable way. I used to be a bit like that first, arrogant guy because I felt so small, so insecure. It was good to realize I had grown out of that (for the most part, right? :D ).

Anyhow, a bit long and probably boring post I know. But, the proudest moment thread thing got me thinking. Perhaps that's my greatest bodybuilding accomplishment- growing up a bit and feeling better about myself. Not having to "puff myself up" to feel good about who I am.

Not having to "puff myself up" to feel good about who I am.

This right here is something that I think really comes with the territory of doing what we do...a sort of confidence that we, as bodybuilders, don't need to feel a need to tell tall tales in order to feel like we've accomplished something. The mere act of improving our bodies is an accomplishment in itself.

Now that I have done it, I will probably never try it again.

back in high school squatting 550lbs. for 1 rep. at 170lbs. it felt really good to know that no one else on the football team had stronger legs than me. I've never been really strong, I have just found that even someone like me with limited genetics can reach goals simply by out working everyone else.

For me doing a photo shoot with the great Kevin Horton behind the camera was amazing. Here is the guy who shot the famous black and whites of Dorain that are easily some of the most amazing shots ever taking shots of me. He was a true professional and a class act.

I will never forget the shoot because not only was it a complete honor to shoot with him but he also treated me like I imagine he treats the true greats of the sport. It says a lot to me when an expert such as Horton treats a guy that nobody has ever heard of the same way he treats the best in the game.

As with almost all of my success in this sport I have Dante (DC) to thanks for this great experience.
