well my first time picking up a weight was 10th grade. I tried anyway. I was weak and so I stopped because i cared about what people thought of me so I went back to playing basketball( I was decent at that).
Then I tried again my freshman year of college (1995). Pretty much the same thing. It was more fun to play bb than lifting. So I stopped after 3 weeks
The next time I tried was a 12 weeks before I enlisted (december 2001) I got a membership at golds and then I had a 5 month lay off for boot and 1st tech training school. Then to get out of organized PT I tried again for about 3 months in my second school. So after that was done. I stopped all training till aug 2004 where this real journey began. I started reading about it in 94 though. So I knew what was going on but like I said baskeball was my passion and my key to "acceptance" When I cared about what people thought of me.
