While doing some heavy shoulder presses on the Smith machine, a heavily used one with a lot of play in it btw, someone bumped one side of the bar horsing around and shifted the focus of the weight to one side while I was pressing up. I felt a little twinge, didn't think too much about it.
Later the area from my neck through my trap and settling in at my rear delt became very tight and sore. I still tried to ignore it and continue on with my normal regimen. Well now I am a week and one day away from the incident and I have lost almost all strength in certain areas on the right side of my upper body. I tried to do a set of pull ups this morning to test it because the pain has subsided quite a bit. I used to bang out about 18 reps on my first set, and today I struggled to get even one!!! When i start the stroke of the rep it's like my right side is not even engaging at all!!
Anyway anyone ever experience anything like this, and if so how did you treat it or get it treated, and how long did it take you to recover? I'm freakin' out :hypno: !! From some research on my own I'm thinking, hoping it is just minor nerve damage to the brachial plexus, praying the strength and motor function return soon. I don't have any numbness so far. Any help or input would be appreciated. Thanks.
