My younger brother and I were having this discussion while watching Smackdown this past Friday...
I was telling him about how the quality of the show has gone down in recent years, and how all of these new guys were or had been showing up out of nowhere, and were working on developing themselves while with WWE. But there used to be a time when a wrestler worked a minor territory or two, and then found his way to Japan or Mexico, if not both, and wrestled there. THEN, maybe WWE was the final stop.
What happened to that? It seems to me that a lot of guys could benefit from that same progression.
