Just saw this on 'The Doctors' TV show. Apparantly studies have linked a diet low in salt with depression.

I certainly don't have to worry about that! I don't limit salt. Guess that's why I'm happy most of the time.

Interesting. I used to limit my salt soooo much. A few months ago though I stopped using No Salt and now use regular salt.

I salt the hell out of my foods - I'm always happy, positive and at times, annoyingly optimistic...

GO SALT!!

Interesting....salt obviously has an effect on brain chemistry either via increasing seratonin or endorphins....

I try not to use too much salt, but lately I've gotten into sea salt and I love it. Does it matter if it's regular NaCl versus salt from the sea? :)

The study didn't specify a particular form of salt but sea salt or Himalaya salt is a healthier option

I get very weak and lethargic if I restrict salt for any length of time! It freaked me out one time when my pulse was 80 when doing cardio....

I thought too much salt wasn't good for you? I have tried to cut it all out....should I add some salty foods back in? Also...what is a salty healthy food?
